DanielSparten despite all its problems and imbalance, I never wanted it to end. I absolutely loved the artistic freedom to design and showcase it to other players, even getting to race with it and no other f2p racing can compare. If only EA supported it better, fixing it and even continued adding content even if its as minimal as new cars it would be ok.
2023 already, and I can't forget this game... one of the best games I played... I miss so much those times
Look up soapbox. Basically the game is back but they removed the microtransactions from the game

@@maik226 i love soapbox for bringing it back but all these balance changes and lack of people playing is what keeps me from coming back, all the tunes i memorized (and still do remember) aren't valid/meta anymore and i don't have the time to do stat checks on every single performance part on every car. being able to find any races below A - S class is near impossible because of lack of (new) players racing in every other class is very demotivating to keep playing. with that being said, i tend to still come back every once in a while and just drive around for a bit for that little bit of nostalgia and i hope to find friends that are willing to play this game with me again some day.

Insane, i love the idea
Literally working on my civic rn, havin a cigarett with this, static and sexi on loop. I switch between playlists tho. Sometimes it's NFSW, other times it's Fast and Furious 1 soundtrack/score or Tokyo Drift. Sometimes it's Carbon, ProStreet or another nfs but always the music that played in the garage. Other times I even play the NFSUG2 Bay view ambience through my stereo when I'm driving. Anything to link me to my love of cars when I was a kid. I loved that I played all these growing up customising cars to cool music and now I'm doing the same thing to the same tunes but this time for real. I know exactly what you're trying to encapsulate and believe me, it's an undescribeable amount of nostalgia
This song is actually composed by none other than Mick Gordon, who also composed the soundtracks of both DOOM 2016 & DOOM ETERNAL.
Yeah, kinda sad that nobody remembers or even knows about Mick Gordon's previous work.

I tried the soap box race and it is just not give the same vibe i had ... Untill now no games came close to NFSW experience.. I've tried The crew ..nfs 2015 .. Heat .. and forza horizon 4 but none of these even come close to NFSW maybe the crew or forza but the crew has weird physic and forza has no cop the best event in nfsw is Team escape for me...i admit It is not a great game but I don't know the way they set it up that chills me

Offline mode/SBRW may recapture the game itself, but it will never truly recreate what NFSW used to be. That feeling that wasn't appreciated until the game was discontinued by EA. Cruising around in a car you grinded away at for hours in on your dads dell laptop, chatting with randoms you met online, having fun for free. This game was special to me I remember at one point waking up early to play with some Australians I met in game right before they themselves went to bed. Truly surreal.

Artist is not unknown! Artist is the same who invented Argent Metal. The artist is the one who gives out free games with his album covers, the one and only Mick Gordon! This bass drop at 0:45 and the subsequent ones are the EXACT same ones as in the doom 2016 version of At doom's gate.

Feniksxx you can EA didn't want to update the game and interest the people to stay as you may know black box improve the graphics and make more cars you know if they made more cars and finish the god dam road in nfsw the game will be interesting black box say the will continue making the map bigger and bigger when the time is passing and ..... They never did cause blackbox got fired in 2014
@@darkfighter1739 I was told on Reddit that Black Box made NFS World as a low budget project while waiting for their next game to make, which would become NFS: The Run. Unfortunately, they were not allowed to properly update this game because EA wanted to milk it dry.
To be totally honest, I would cry if I was able to.
I always loved listening to this track everytime i enter the garage. It just makes me think deeply on life...

I remember my nissan silvia and my VW scirocco. This game and the music just brings so many memories. Some people thought it was just another stupid free to play game and to be honest it was. But it was a fun one. It was one of these, where you never thought they will get so many flashbacks in the future. I was playing it 2012 or something and I was so small. I remember meeting random people in the baseball stadium and writing with them(with my bad English skills back then haha) Even though EA is making many mistakes, I have to thank them so much to beeing a part of my childhood. It’s not only this game.

You guys should look up Soapbox RaceWorld. It's an open-source multiplayer revival of Need for Speed World that's very playable at the moment.

I remember the first time I loaded up NFSW. It had just recently turned into a F2P with loads of payment options on cars and designs. Some I didn't mind, but others killed me because of how much it costed to unlock them, like the Diablo SV. As much if a relic that is and was, locking it behind a money wall like that was sad.
Moving on, the list of starter cars was nice. All of them were good or fair, but my eye gravitated towards the Mazdaspeed 3 for it's hatchback design and balanced play. The handling was superb and sped around the streets like a beast for such a low tier car. Upgrading it and designing it with all those stickers made it so much better. It really felt like they gave you a lot of freedom for what options they had.
Unfortunately I left it in the garage for a while until I built up the 2 mil for a Murcielago LP-674, which took a couple of weeks of only getting to play for a few hours a day. It was worth it for the sleekness and speed it offered, but it was the last time I got to play. That was early 2013.
I'm older and on my own now, doing as I please with a steady job compared to being stuck in someone else's house and rules. And if all goes well with the Soapbox Race World project, I might get to refill my garage with the Mazdaspeed and Murcielago. Maybe even expand with a Supra, Skyline GTR, AE86, Impreza and whatever else I love.
