This is nothing... I play this game from start of 2011 year, I collected 25 cars to the official servers shutdown and I spend so much time in garage on painting and tuning this cars... My favorite is my GT3 RS with RS 4.0 vinyl... So much memories... ;-;

I'm sure plenty of people know about this, but if not, I'll say this: There's been a remake of NFS World, but it's not completely stable yet. The name is funny, but it's SoapBox Race World. Yes, it's back. Mostly. It IS still glitchy and unstable, but usually it works very well. There's plenty, but not as much players as there were on the actual EA servers of NFS. I'm just commenting this because I see lots and lots of people saying how much they miss this game, but none saying that it's brought back. I missed it a lot too, and I never even knew the game was shut down until I tried launching it one day and saw that it didn't launch. If you're someone who knows about this, please don't start talking crap at me that "everyone knows" and such. Also, for EA, I'd like to say honestly that they mostly care about money. They don't make games for players to play it and that's it, no. They make games for players to play it AND purchase in-game items and such with microtransactions. Their logic is honestly bad, for example in The Sims 2, I had lots of problems with burglars. In The Sims 4, they removed the burglars because it was annoying the players. But then, in other games where there's lots of P2W, EA gives not one single fuck about nerfing. Also, to the people who don't know, NFS:W was shut down because EA didn't like it not giving enough money.
You said true about The Sims... and of course about EA. Believe or not, but I used to really afraid burglars. They sudden appearance and scary music always gave me huge fear. But in The Sims 2 when first time I saw a burglar, I didn't so much afraid, as I was in The Sims 1. After this "accident" I get used to it that there is nothing to fear here. So, when a burglar appers in whatever moment, I'm not afraid him anymore. His just some evil NPC, like every game has his another evil NPC to encounter. But what they did with burglars in The Sims 4, I don't comment. From a higher level, they have changed it to the lower one. The creators have become children, always wanting more and more money than quality and do not listen to their customers. Star Wars The Old Republic is even worse. I can't complete with my friend a mission, because the game requires a subscription in order to unlock and begin "the Operation". After we did a lot quests, even some heroic to completed once and for all storyline planet (If you want to know - it's about the Dread Masters), EA says: "No, you do not have subscription status. You have to gain it if you want continue". Eh... It's worse, worse and worse.

I'm trying to fill the hole this game left with GTA V. I mean, it's still fun, but it doesn't give you that feeling that NFSW did... I remember my most beloved car... The Lamborghini Miura, that thing cornered like a beast. I wil miss the good old days.
Same here. I miss the ride across the whole map with my BMW M3 GTS Undercover Police Car. Now I'm trying since the dead of NFSW to ride through LS. But it's not the same like it was with NFSW. Miss that great old days where I just could lean back and enjoy the ride. I will also miss the golden days were I was one of the best drag racers! Gosh.. I miss that time. NFS World has such an amazing and unique feel to it, like no other NFS game. This song is absolutely beautiful, it's so emotional, it perfectly fits into the game's pretty depressing atmosphere. Everytime I hear it it gives me chills, sometimes it even makes me drop a few tears. It hits you like a fucking train. A video showing the empty streets of NFS World with this song in the background would make me cry like a little baby. And even tho I haven't played or even watched at of videos from this game back when it was online on official EA servers, I still get that nostalgia feel. It's a true piece of art. The person behind this song is a genius.
And to everyone saying about soapbox, well it's not the same, if you had any friends in the game, they're gone, I remember most of them with their tier 3 cars, Drag mustangs, etc. 😭😔😥

ohhh the memorys flowing back to my head. the times when you could accidentally bump into a cop while horsing around. then going into the abandoned shipyard and keep on jumping off the giant ramp.
I remember meeting my friends on this game long time ago. Doing races with them, pursuits and just playing around in free roam. Even though I didn't play anywhere good, I still had fun playing with them because I knew it is something I like to play and that I do it with someone I like. This song was one of the many playing in background that you (or at least me) as a kid didn't notice much but when you haven't had listened to them for a while you just got the nostalgia hitting you hard. Thank you all from the Need for speed community and especially Soapbox Race World contributors for keeping this game alive even to this day. And thanks to these friends and even random people I met as a kid that I could experience this awesome game with them.

I remember when I joined the beta and I received the BMW they were giving away the players, such good times..my computer broke and couldn't play for a year, lost my info and had to create a new account. I stayed close to the end but again circumstances didn't let me stay, I wish I was there to the end at least..I miss this game.
Remember the stadium? With the giant paws you could knock down on your way to do donuts in the grass with your friends? Remember the bus stop? Where people used to glitch on top of? Remember the donut shop? Where you could smash the posts and let cops ironically hit the falling donut? Remember the camera shake when you pressed the nos button? Remember glint wide bodykits? I remember how this game took over my life from 2010 these were the most beautiful times in my life detachment from reality and McLaren F1 Elite travels around map. Tears came to my eyes. I love this game and the entire community. ❤
+Shockwave & Soundwave (Brotherhood) Its not over. The devs of the offline version are trying to make an online one now. But the downside is, that you have to pay, because they have to run their servers somehow.
Sometimes in the days before the closing of NFSW, I would intentionally go "afk" and just sit back and wait. After a few moments, the camera dips low beside the car and this song would play. Something about the song was soul-touching. Nowadays it's a somber piece of nostalgia, a remnant of a past time. Credit to Mick for creating this.. it's such a fine piece of work.
Actually guys NFS World is alive! It's just not official, but custom servers. If i'm not wrong the thing is called "Soapbox". I was playing it myself even. It's so cool to comeback to this game.

When it was up and runing , i used to play this game for entire days , but now its all gone and these songs are bringing me so manny memories back , god , i swear everytime i listen to one of its songs , im crying
this game still be in existe soapbox and people still play it online till today i never left it i miss it all the time its the safest place that i run to from this horrible life and bad thoughts and feelings
The first time I played this game was in 2014, when i was 6 years-old, i still remember this game, the audi s5, the reventon, and the most precious car, the porsche 997 gt3rs, what a nostalgia.
It has been almost a decade and I still keep coming back to this.

I remember when I joined the beta and I received the BMW they were giving away the players, such good times..my computer broke and couldn't play for a year, lost my info and had to create a new account. I stayed close to the end but again circumstances didn't let me stay, I wish I was there to the end at least..I miss this game.

Sometimes in the days before the closing of NFSW, I would intentionally go "afk" and just sit back and wait. After a few moments, the camera dips low beside the car and this song would play. Something about the song was soul-touching. Nowadays it's a somber piece of nostalgia, a remnant of a past time. Credit to Mick for creating this.. it's such a fine piece of work.

Actually guys NFS World is alive! It's just not official, but custom servers. If i'm not wrong the thing is called "Soapbox". I was playing it myself even. It's so cool to comeback to this game.

I come back to this song every damn time whenever I get that old need for speed world nostalgia. Listening this song for around four years now, still miss my crysler and my porsche gt2 diamond edition that I got through that bug that was in the game in the old days. This was my childhood.
