    Hi Matt, could you do a video on time management as a recruiter and how you organize your day?

    This is dope. Any advice you’d give for jumping into tech recruiting when you’re already a recruiter? I work for a staffing agency and we mainly staff clerical or industrial temp to hire roles but I’d like to transition into tech. I really love the recruiting process.

      Hi Leah, sorry for the late response! Right now the market for tech recruiting is quite low, but keep a lookout and there will always be something out there. Just keep applying and networking because I'm as sure you know, referrals are your best chance (that's how I got mine). When you're interviewing, be sure to have your metrics already and talk about how you build, maintain, and improve candidate experience along with relationships with your business partners. I hope this helps!

      Most likely just spreadsheets with clients and their listings and another with candidates and skill sets. Gotta keep the database flowing

    Hi Matt , very informative video thank you for making this ☺️ I m confused between becoming tech recruiter or Data Scientist. Can you please guide me ?

    • @MattDo
      @MattDo  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Priyanka, I’m not too sure what the day-to-day responsibilities of Data Scientist are but I would recommend tech recruiting if you truly find joy & passion in connecting people with new opportunities. This is a much longer answer that I plan to make another video about some day.

    Yoo great content, you've definitely inspired me to do more lifestyle content on my channel! Btw you should consider doing a Day in the Life of a recruiter vid in the office ( I know it would definitely help me out in deciding if I really want this job lol)

    Hey brother. I am a computer science engineering student. Should i get into Talent acquisition specialist or should i get into IT field. I am not interested in IT field where has i am event planner in side. What would you suggest

    • @MattDo
      @MattDo  ปีที่แล้ว

      Now is not the right time to get into Talent due to the economy. But even when the job market is hot, recruiting is very volatile. If you're not interested in IT, then see if you can get into System Admin or something more back-end. At the end of the day, do what you're most interested in.

    What’s your best advice for an experienced and well accomplished salesperson who wants to convert to a recruiting position ?

    • @MattDo
      @MattDo  ปีที่แล้ว

      Honestly right now is not a good time to get into recruiting (at least in tech industry) with all the layoffs that have been happening. If you still want to get into recruiting though, I would recommend looking at staffing agencies or starting off as an in-house recruiting coordinator.
      Good luck!
