Hello, this is Dean and 'welcome to my videos.
Having grown up watching my dad do projects and repairs around the house, I was destined to become that person as well. My goal is to post videos for every project I 'would' have done around the house anyway. Why? So that you can learn from my successes and failures.

Borescope Review

This is a recent purchase and review (non-sponsored) of a Depstech model DS300 borescope. My intent is to use this device to get behind walls, under crevices, inside pipes, down drains, inside engines and any other tight spots that a normal camera cannot go. Nothing about drives that has used BitLocker ?.
For a generic how-to video, one must make certain assumptions about one's audience. If you have someone with the level of expertise to use Bitlocker or other encryption, the assumption is that they are going to do the research through Microsoft or otherwise to decrypt and re-encrypt the drive upon removal and reinstallation. However; if you'd like to produce a video showing such, I'd be glad to make reference to it. Just let me know.
Connecting an old drive like this can be invaluable. Thank you. Great video!

Your attention to detail is out of this world ! I am sure you will keep your W212 for years to come. You think its ok using Dremel to cut an opening in black plastic for future easier access?
I think that's a novel idea Brian, but I wouldn't leave it open due to water being thrown up into the backside of your lights. If you could figure a way to cover the hole you cut with a 'patch' of some sort of material that would allow you to remove it to change the bulbs. Perhaps a flexible patch with hook and loop fasteners? Just a thought. Dean

Does this also work the same on a Maytag Bravos XL model MVWB835DW1. the water won't fill at all. We checked the resistance for the water valve and it checks so we're thinking most probably the pressure switch. Thank you for any help. Ruth

It’s the day after Thanksgiving 2024, I am thankful for you creating, sharing, and posting this Video on how to replace the driver’s low beam. The counter person at O’R______ said I’d need to remove my front bumper. The other counter person said go to TH-cam. You even took the time to create a model. Hands down you Rock. Thank you, Thank you. I am about to change clothes and get busy! Happy Holidays to your family.
Oh man, you made my eyes water a bit with that comment. I appreciate it. Probably the nicest thing anyone has said to me since I've been posting these videos. Yeah, the driver's side is a bear, probably able to reach it from the top if it were the passenger side. Some have said I didn't have to remove the whole fender liner, just the front push plugs. Then pull down the liner and reach behind it and change the bulb. That's true I'm sure, but that said, I couldn't have videoed what I was doing. Better to be transparent when you're doing how-to videos. Anyways, much luck to you. I'm sure you'll be fine and Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours as well. Dean
How many hours will these k46 last. I bought a scott 2548 with 680 hours on it for are trail club. Been fixing up mower over the summer but using it also like 28 hours of use so has 708 hours now. It actually was working very good going up hill on trails before taking apart. First owner mowed a very flat area. I watched your great vid and decided to do oil filter change. Oil and filter were very dirty but not much metal on magnet and gears looked great inside. Hopefully I caught it in time and will work a couple more years for are club which will work it hard with hills and rough terrain. Again thanks for great vid.
@@chrispederson4157 Thanks for viewing and the kind comments. I would be remiss if I pretended that I could predict the number of hours your transmission will last. If, for example, you were to replace the motors and worn gears every time it was necessary, it could last indefinitely. While these transmissions are not as tough as their larger sized cousins, we are still putting dozens of hours per season on ours and have surpassed 1000 hours. I feel like it is just as strong as it ever was. If it were to fail again, I might try the option where I replace the motors rather than trash the mower.
@@PilotViewProductions Ya I actually wish while I had it apart I sent parts to guy in Canada to fix since I live in canada. Of course I did not watch your 3 vid till after I put back together. Oh well we will see how long it last. Thanks for quick reply.
@@chrispederson4157 Since 4 or 5 years ago, to replace these transmissions was over $800 (who knows how much today), to me, it would still be worth replacing most or all of the worn internal parts rather than buying a new transmission. Let's face it, the motor, deck and transmission are the life blood of any mower. My opinion is: if you can reasonably repair any of these 3 components, it's worth it, versus buying a new mower. That's just my 2 cents worth however.
You are a great teacher. Convenient that you had power under the sink already! I'm trying to figure out how to get power there at the moment.

@03:26 I hope you retaped it the correct direction. It should be wrapped in the opposite direction you will turn it to screw it in. That's not plumbers tape. It is teflon tape; and it helps prevent a leak. @04:16 you put the adjustable wrench on backwards to tighten it too.

Ripped my chain brake off stupid design try resetting brake in the woods I guess thats why Stihl costs more live learn
You can use one of the hexagonal T-head wrenches provided by the manufacturer to reset this safety lock. This tool has three functions: adjusting tension of bar, opening the cover, and resetting the safety lock.
Yes, 'if' you have that tool in the field. If not, this technique works, or some other suggested here.
