Your last advice is very well put. I tell people “don’t buy something you don’t mind getting stuck with” Of course you as a dealer is more complicated. You put it perfectly.
Jasper, thanks for your thoughts! One of the best videos… honest and informative. Would love to visit your store one day. Always checking your website for nice pieces.. 😅
Jasper, thank you for sharing your considerable knowledge and experience, which is very helpful. Vintage watches were made at a time when fine workmanship was really valued. They have stood the test of time and all, in some way, have a story to tell.....with a new one about to start with the new owner!
I would love to hear your view on people like Orchi and Jose and stuff the expose about for example Monaco Legend Auctions. They stopped posting movement pics after one of Joses posts.
Nice vid as usual. Just discovered in previous months - and acquired - the Rolex Zephyr 6582 from 1957. With 1030 movement. 34 mm and very simple, but the vintage Rolex DNA is there. With a 2-tone vintage bracelet. I wear it on sports leather and am surprised how nice it wears. Having collected for 15 years, I can now take the time to focus on vintage sleepers, or rare vintage parts. The hectic flow of new releases every week has become entirely irrelevant to me. Deep nostalgia is what drives my passion.
@@AmsterdamVintageWatches Ok, could be, but then it didn't end up in the vid cause after rewachting I don't hear you say anything about distribution set-up concerning Rolex...
Superb video - glad to see the shout out for the Rolex SeaDweller 4000; the last superb Rolex made in my opinion.

Very nice Q&A, suprised to hear my most random question among all the serious questions
Best watch enthusiast channel out there.

Top vid Jasper!
Cool video, and it just confirms to always buy what you like

Great insight Jasper, as always. What would be the best and most reliable book about Rolex in your opinion?
Nice view, mostly agree on them aswell

Lekker Jasper!
I wil just call you KOV baas!
@Jasper, isn't it worth mentioning that as a "normale sterveling" you can't just buy a Rolex for MSRP at an AD as something to dislike about Rolex??
He's into vintage and sells vintage. What does he care about retail stores.
@@MusicAddict001 yes it is. And I did. I mentioned their distribution set-up

@@christianellopmI would say that's fair enough, but aren't the newly sold watches the vintage watches of the future...?
@@MusicAddict001really? My bad, perhaps it was edited out. But yes, I agree with you
