Our Floris will visit Jasper Lijfering of Amsterdam Vintage Watches this episode - with a suitable Vintage Bentley. In the middle of the center Jasper Floris is already waiting to start at the beginning; the building where his parents once started. They then continue by Bentley to the current store of Amsterdam Vintage Watches on the Singel. But before they get there, they are unexpectedly stopped by no less than 4 (!!!) motorcycle cops on the Rokin. Madhouse! But it will be fine. Further on in the video, Jasper tells Floris how he now turns millions of euros and of course shows several vintage watches (no less than 5 WristChecks!). Including a sabrage of a nice bottle of Champagne (perfectly executed by Jasper; a real "ten with a pencil"), a small golf tournament and a big giveaway again. So take a quick look. Hallo vrienden..! In deze aflevering ga ik - met een passende vintage Bentley - op bezoek bij Jasper Lijfering van Amsterdam Vintage Watches. We beginnen bij de winkel van zijn ouders waar het ooit begon en gaan daarna per Bentley door naar de huidige winkel. Maar voordat we daar aankomen werden we geheel onverwacht staande gehouden door maar liefst 4 (!!!) motoragenten op het Rokin hier in Amsterdam. Gekkenhuis! Maar het komt goed. Verder in de video vertelt Jasper aan Floris hoe hij tegenwoordig miljoenen euro's omzet draait en laat hij natuurlijk meerdere vintage watches zien (maar liefst 5 WristChecks!). Inclusief een sabrage van een mooie fles Champagne (door Jasper perfect uitgevoerd; een echte "tien met een griffel"), klein golftoernooi en dikke winactie weer. Snel kijken dus. Offtopic: Ben een armoedzaaier met een Reign horloge die via Roddelpraat hier is gekomen en hoop dat je vele abonnees aan je bezoek aan Jan en Dennis mag verdienen. Erg sportief en moedig dat je te gast durfde te zijn, want de heren gaan soms best ver. Maar wie iets verder kijkt dan z'n opgehaalde neus lang is ziet dat heren voor verbinding zorgen. Gave video met mooie horloges en geweldige sabrage 😃🍾🥂. Het bedrijf vroeger van de ouders van Jasper heette Lijfering & Ros vernoemd naar de achternamen van zijn ouders wat hij later heeft overgenomen en uiteindelijk Amsterdam Vintage Watches is geworden!

Hele leuke aflevering. Geweldig om te zien dat Jasper zo geinspireerd is door horloges. Wat hij zegt klopt als een bus: je komt daar voor het verzamelobject en het gevoel. Er zijn horloges van een paar honderd euro die volgens mij evenlang meegaan. Maargoed, als je een hoop geld hebt, moet je het toch ergens aan uitgeven. Wie weet zie je mij ooit nog eens in je winkel (als de zaken wat beter gaan😂) Dit was mijn Commánd.

The path to salvation is narrow. SO narrow that nothing you do will fit.

Maar 150.000 voor een horloge??? Tsja.. als je van het geld bulkt is dat uiteraard ook peanuts. De markt is verziekt denk ik dan, net zoals ook al jaren met het voetbal. Het is pure marktwerking en een elite vorm. Het heeft (bijna) niks meer met feitelijke kwaliteit (laat staan noodzaak) te maken. Maar goed, dat wisten we al. Toch; voor een huis heb ik wel vele euries over. Voor een auto heel wat minder en voor een horloge, dat moge duidelijk zijn. Wel weer een toffe video, al is het alleen al hoe je de boel 'samenbrengt' en 'verkoopt' aan de 'gewone' burger. En ondertussen, mss onbewust, de absurditeit aan het licht brengt van dit soort markten terwijl er hongersnood, oorlogen en allerlei (Corona/Wappie/Stikstof) crisissen gaande zijn.. je brengt het iig positief.

Beste Floris Wyers, bij deze het correcte antwoord op de quizvraag. Vader van Jasper Lijfering, genaamd Paul Lijfering richtte in 1987 het bedrijf Lijfering & Ros op. Naar mijn bronnen is dit in 2014 veranderd naar Amsterdam Vintage Watches. De Louers fles zou een enorm geschenk zijn!
De oude winkel van de ouders van Jasper heett eerst Lijfering en Ros en ik zou de fles graag willen winnen omdat ik het een mooi ontwerp vind en dan kan ik hem in mijn kamer als decoratie in mijn open kast zetten en als ik dan 18 word hem opdrinken met vrienden en familie.

Ik ben sinds kort echt horloge liefhebber geworden en ik vind het prachtig om te zien dat deze man gewoon geniet van horloges. Niet dus puur naar de waarde kijkt maar veel verder dan dat, zoals bij die relatief "goedkope" rolex. Dat is inderdaad echte service, gewoon echt waardering voor het product en niet voor de waarde van het product. Mooie zaak en een zeer mooi aanbod.....ik werd zeer geïnspireerd door de collecties Rolex horloges.
Jammer dat daar mijn budget niet voor reikt en moet het helaas doen met een Breitling, wat op zich ook niet echt verkeerd is.

Een prachtig bedrijf - vroeger Lijvering en Ros - geheel in stijl overgenomen en nu AVW op een mooie locatie in Amsterdam. Fantastisch dat deze horloges helemaal in zijn tegenwoordig! En dan nog die prachtige vodka fles die geheel in thema is tijdens deze winterse kerstdagen, net ijspegels.
