You can do it!!! Push on and get that sweater done girl!!! It's fabulous and you only have a tiny bit to do compared to the whole thing. You got this! 😊😊😊👍👍
I loved the hat Dan made, it was so pretty, and it looked great on you, Kay. John Luc Piccard, oh my, I did like him! Downton Abbey was fantastic, the scenery, the clothing and the story. I think my blood pressure went up every time I watched, it was very intense. Thank you again for another entertaining podcast.
Kay, your sweater is beautiful! Well done Dan, your knitting skill is increasing exponentially! Kay, i know you can finish that Penguono; you’ve got what it takes and you’ll be SO happy when it’s an FO!! I love you guys. Xx
Go Kay Go!! I have been watching your progress and I so want to see the Penguono finished!!! It really is a unique garment. Im not a garment knitter either, but I've sure been tempted by your efforts with the Penguono to start the project myself.
I think if you save the penguono for bedtime when you are already tired, it will be something you will dread facing . It might be better to face it first thing in the morning and allow yourself just 30 minutes a day. Then you will have a sense of accomplishment and it will get done, a half hour at a time. When you go to bed you should be working on something relaxing, not something that aggravates you. Good luck!
Your Penguono is fabulous, beautiful colours and it will be so cosy to wear on chilly mornings...the perfect morning attire !!! The picture quality is brilliant and the content,as always, brilliant.
The picture quality is fantastic. I watched it on my 4K TV, and it was so clear that I could see the individual strands of the yarn behind you. A pleasure to watch! Kay, you should finish your Penguono. You have done so much, it would be a shame to frog it now. Perhaps if you allocated 20 or 30 minutes a day, it wouldn’t be so overwhelming. Just imagine how cozy it will be on cold winter mornings! Margaret in B.C. Canada.
Every time I hear about the Penguono I think of Dolly Parton’s Coat of Many Colors song. I don’t think I could knit it without that song getting stuck in my head. Lovely show as always.
I think your Penguono looks fabulous and will really suit you. So carry on the end is truly in sight!! Looking forward to seeing you wearing it on the show!!
Amen, Brother, on the purl stitch at the beginning! I knit magic loop and I have to do it a few times to get it right! I can't figure out where the yarn is supposed to be! There doesn't seem to be a choice on the first stitch. It naturally falls to the back. Lol
Oh Kay those mittens are gorgeous and the Downtown Abbey theme is just up my alley, if you are wanting a test knitter I throw my hat in the ring from over the seas lol xxx
Come on, Kay! You can do it. You're almost to the finish line. I just know you can conquer the Penguono mountain! Just look at how far you've come. Can't stop now! 😍🎉 Love the new patterns in the pipeline. The fingerless gloves and the socks will be a must knit. I'll be posting my finished Bits & Bob's Cowl soon on Ravelry and IG. It turned out lovely. It's like wearing a mini, squishy, blanket around my neck. I love it! My personal opinion ~ I do prefer having individual patterns over a collection. I usually feel obligated to knit everything in a collection, because it's a collection. Not that I mind, but I seldom use certain items, and have few people to gift those items, too.
Kay every time I see your Penguono I want to knit it he has this pattern in a baby one now and I think I want to try it yours is lovely and you can do it your so close can’t wait to see it on you!!
Erma Baumback said “the joy is in the writ”. In everything we enjoy the beginning, the middle is work and them enjoy finished product. Look forward the the reward of enjoying the finished object. Keep going you can see the finish line. Don’t give up.
David Copperfield looks wonderful! The trailer makes it look very different from a BBC type of Dickensian drama for sure. Shame it is not released over here until May 8th! Might get to see it in the UK when I visit in March or even on the plane flying over. I shall certainly look out for it! Thanks for your review!
Your Penguono is a work of art! Knit an hour on it every day until you’re done. I bet if you wore it at a fibre fest you would get many compliments. It’s beautiful.
It was probably caraway seeds in that cake. It has an aniseed taste. I love it and make seed cake which my children hate. Means I get to eat more cake 😋
K....on another podcast, the recommendation was to do 4 rows per day. I’m currently working on Bits and Bobs (and three other projects). When I’m really enjoying what I’m knitting, I may knit for an hour or knit the 4 rows for that day. Perhaps, if you knit on your Penguono at least 4 rows a day that would help. Good luck!
Keep going on your Penguono! I had a sweater that I felt tortured me for about 6-8 months. There was a point where I texted my daughter and told her her sweater was in time out for the unforeseeable future. LOL. I nicknamed it "Sweater from Hell".... But I finished it and she loves it so much. Not sure I will use that same pattern again. It was all single crochet through front loop only with Coboo yarn from Lionbrand.... and it split terribly. But it is so soft and comfy! Can't wait to see your finished project!
I love those mitts and nearly always wear fingerless mittens. I like the proper thumb also. I don’t see the point of mitts without a thumb but fingers that are covered. Nothing worse than cold thumbs. I will definitely purchase your pattern and they will probably be pink.😊💕
I suggest a colourwork sock for your fingering weight colourwork project. I am knitting the tree farm socks by Natalie Sheldon. I am putting in an after thought heel in sock yarn with nylon. they will be my Christmas socks for 2020. Right amount of challenge.
Hahaha! Dan says “purple” like most guys. So one dimensional when it comes to color. Lol. You guys are such fun! My absolute favorites. I always get a smile when I watch the podcasts.
Dan, you might want to check out Ravelry for Mandola Cowl by Erica Jackodfsky. Color work fingering weight cowl that has a draw string so it can be worn as a hat.
Have you thought about shortening the sleeves on that pretty sweater you are wearing? I think I'd run a lifeline where you need the ribbing to start and cut off the extra length, then knit down in ribbing. You'll be off a half of a stitch, but nobody will see that. Thanks for all of your hard work. I am playing catch-up and enjoying all of the videos immensely.
I love your Sólja and the colors you chose. You did such a beautiful job knitting it. Have you thought about cutting off the bottom of the sleeves and knitting new cuffs top down?
Kay, I think, you should finish that Penguono!!! Hahaha! The end is near and just imagine the thrill when you bind off the last stitches!? Yes, you can!!! ;) Lovely podcast, again, as always! I am looking forward to discover all the other things you do, - you two are such an inspiration and I am always looking forward to the next episode. So I had to join in supporting you! YEAH!!!!
Oh my gosh... I love your penguono... I would be over the moon to have one. You have great knitting skills and you can totally finish it, and you'll love wearing it to keep yourself cosy. "Don't give up on it (us) baby" 🎶 now who sang that one?🤔
I would love to see you finish the Penguono. I'm sure I remember you saying you would only wear it at home, it would make a lovely bed jacket, keeping you warm when weather is cold, while knitting in bed at night.
You’re almost finished the Penguono, jus push on through, a little at a time. You will enjoy it someday. If you had a Walmart in the UK you could wear it there LOL. The colors in it are soft and pretty.
Regarding The Joker.....the storyline is about how the Joker became the Joker. Batman isn’t in the movie and it isn’t in the genre you were describing. I thought Joachim Phoenix was amazing and he deserves to win an Oscar for his acting. I can’t say I enjoyed it as such, as it was a very dark movie and not at all lighthearted but it certainly got you thinking.
Keep going with the Penguono Kay, the colours are too beautiful to stop. I agree with you about Dickens - very clever writing but even the best actor struggles to make it appear effortless - it's like they are amateurs who are overacting and uneasy. Love the hat - very impressive colour work.
Don't you dare frog that Penguono! You're so close. Just want to add re. the David Copperfield film, it's not for anyone who gets travel sick at the cinema. A lot of swinging and moving camerawork.
Kay the two designs are stunning. Dan congratulations on the hat , it is stunning.
Keep pushing through Kay, you'll do it. Thanks for your lovely comments on the bag - that brightened a very grey, wet and windy Storm Dennis day!!!
You can do it!!! Push on and get that sweater done girl!!! It's fabulous and you only have a tiny bit to do compared to the whole thing. You got this! 😊😊😊👍👍
I loved the hat Dan made, it was so pretty, and it looked great on you, Kay.

Downton Abbey was fantastic, the scenery, the clothing and the story. I think my blood pressure went up every time I watched, it was very intense.
Thank you again for another entertaining podcast.
Go for it Kay!
Power through the sleeve! I am powering through two sleeves right now and will be so glad when I am done.
Awesome ...you guys are great!
Kay, you look positively radiant!!
Kay, please, please power on with the Peng! its gorgeous and I think that you will look fab in it!! xx
Kay, your sweater is beautiful! Well done Dan, your knitting skill is increasing exponentially! Kay, i know you can finish that Penguono; you’ve got what it takes and you’ll be SO happy when it’s an FO!! I love you guys. Xx
That yarn looks like black raspberry ice cream to me! Dan, you did a fantastic job on the Winter hat and it fits Kay really well!
Go Kay Go!! I have been watching your progress and I so want to see the Penguono finished!!! It really is a unique garment. Im not a garment knitter either, but I've sure been tempted by your efforts with the Penguono to start the project myself.
I will never tell you to stop that sweater! it is so beautiful, it will look amazing with black pants and a black turtle neck shirt.
I think if you save the penguono for bedtime when you are already tired, it will be something you will dread facing . Thanks for mentioning the Faith and Flour podcast last episode. I can see why you like it.
The picture quality is fantastic. I watched it on my 4K TV, and it was so clear that I could see the individual strands of the yarn behind you. A pleasure to watch!

I liked the David Copperfield film but agree with you and love the quote! Patrick is 80! It is fab hope you enjoy it 😀
I think the colors of a lilac flower, that is what it reminded me of. Lilac.
Power through Kay!! I ‘d say work almost or completely exclusively on the sweater!! Good luck!!
Hello Kay
Love love your jumper soooo much the colours really suit you. Molly
Come on Kay - finish the Penguono! You can do it! So close! #finishitFebruary!!

Don't abandon your pengrowno. You are too invested now. Go for it!
Kay every time I see your Penguono I want to knit it he has this pattern in a baby one now and I think I want to try it yours is lovely and you can do it your so close can’t wait to see it on you!!
Once you finish your Penguono , reward yourself with more cake!! I really like the Picard series, so good!

Five Rows a Day!!!! You can do it!
”Respond to me like you normally would..”. .... ..”What - ignore you, do you mean?” My favorite comment x
Finish the Penguono!! You will love the feeling when it's finished! WooHoo!!
I suggest a colourwork sock for your fingering weight colourwork project. I am knitting the tree farm socks by Natalie Sheldon. I am putting in an after thought heel in sock yarn with nylon. they will be my Christmas socks for 2020. Right amount of challenge.

I buy pretty soaps with light fragrances when they're on clearance (aka cheap) and put them in with my yarn storage bins.

Just set a time were you can knit on the sweat 30 minutes a day until it's done.
Its a lilac lavender, which is not typically a blue lavender but is more of a pink lavender.
Cheering at the finish line for your Penguono- you can do it!
I love your Sólja and the colors you chose. You did such a beautiful job knitting it. Have you thought about cutting off the bottom of the sleeves and knitting new cuffs top down?
"Purple". "Lavender". I was thinking Lilac. 😁 love you two.

I would love to see you finish the Penguono. I'm sure I remember you saying you would only wear it at home, it would make a lovely bed jacket, keeping you warm when weather is cold, while knitting in bed at night.
I think the color of the uncommon thread yarn is orchid
Read the book! It’s great.

"you can't see the line" is fron national lampoon's Christmas vacation.

Orchid. The ‘not purple’ color.
Love the fingerless mitss!!

I've heard that Tesla vehicles radio volume goes up to 11, because Elon Musk is a fan of the film.
