I can’t believe I just left you a message on Patreon about a round about collaboration between Journey and Toto! 2 of my all time favorite bands!! I just love hearing you guys get all giddy talking about them because that’s how I feel! ❤️

I finished reading the suggested book One for the Blackbird, One for the Crow. I loved it and was sad when I finished the last page. I wanted to keep reading:). Thankyou for recommending this book!!
William Blake is very famous for writing the poem, Jerusalem in 1804 which was set to music in 1916 becoming the very well-known hymn. Love a Yorkshire Curd Tart - especially the ones at Betty’s. Interesting to see it made by Kay. The jumper you are wearing, Kay, is beautiful and really suits you. Well done Dan - an epic knit.
being in America i have never had that kind of cheese cake but i cannot wait to try it and i love the way you have your tea. mostly we drink it cold here but i love hot tea and in a lovely little cup i cannot wait to try thank you so much
I find if I have a yarn I think is gonna run, when blocking, I add a colour catcher sheet to my blocking water. It does seem to help on most occasions, or at least stop the worst of it.
Interesting to see how the "white" yarn in your gansey shows up...near the neckline it looks cream but when intertwined with the blue it looks ultra white. Well done Dan, a lovely knit.
The John arbon yarn I think is the warmest socks that I own . It does feel a bit stringy but the are really warm. Definitely I will knit more. I’ve not had any knots in my yarn.
I actually have a knitting book called *Poetry in Stitches.* I’ve been reading the Catechism of the Catholic Church and I learned that one of the reasons why mediums, astrology, divination, etc. are forbidden is because the sources of the knowledge can actually be from entities you don’t want to mess with. Funny that here curd cheese is very common and always available in supermarkets. We do have “Tarte de Requeijão” which is a delicious curd cheese pie. And we also have several different types of small individual pies made with curd cheese.
Enjoyed your pod, would just like to say that I have made one pair of socks with the John Arbon Exmoor, they look great and the quality feels good, however I did mention that I was unhappy with knots in the yarn and they replaced it which was fine but after little wear the heels developed large holes 😐
My grandfather was Czechoslovakian and used to make Kolaches with curds. They were so delicious. I know your tart will be as well. It almost has the look of a quiché
I knit the Wildner Top socks from John Arbon's The Annual issue two. I did the one that you hold the colors Hemel and Mackerel Sky together for the leg and foot. The cuff, heel, and toe are done in Mizzle, which is the John Arbon Exmoor sock undyed. The pattern is cabled. Makes a lovely thick sock. I made these for my sister. Unfortunately, she passed away before I could give them to her. Haven't found anyone knit-worthy enough to give them to as yet and can't bring myself to wear them.
The tart sounds yummy. I grew up measuring using cups - always level off but my husband and his family don't. They wonder why their baked goods don't work out. Weighing is the best way. Started reading One for the blackbird, one for the crow + about 50 pages into it. Found it in my library. Thsnks for the recommendation.
I always thoroughly enjoy your podcasts and you always make me laugh and teach me so many new things. Is Dan really 6’5” or were you just kidding? It’s hard to tell when you’re both sitting or even when he’s doing his awesome history tours.
I’m from America , and I love the chocolate custardy type of pudding. But my family has made something called, Mrs. Shank’s Sour Cherry Pudding, it’s like a cake with sour cherries in it. I think it was a Depression era recipe because it only has a tablespoon of sugar and oil in it. We ate it as kids with sugar sprinkled over it and then milk. Now some of them use the whipped cream you get in a can. I’m 68 and we’ve eaten at least as long as I’ve been alive.
I live in Illinois, USA. We are not allowed to bring our own food into a movie theater. Although plenty of us sneak in candy and smaller things. We would never be able to bring in a lunch. That surprised me that you can. Our theater food prices are high!
Hello Dan and Kay, I wanted to tell you a story of me gifting a crocheted baby blanket. It was for a little girl that I baby sat. I figured the gift to her mother before the baby was born. The mother said, "oh how beautiful! I love it!" For about 6 months it sat in the baby's crib with the baby. They had moved to another house close by. I had never seen the blanket again. When the child was about 2 yrs old, she came out of the play room, with the blanket I crocheted. I asked the little girl where she found it, she showed me where she got it, it was in back of a closet. I knew it was out there for a reason, that was so the child didn't get attached to it and for it to now be her favorite blanket. I carried a big crochet bag with me over to their house so when the child was sleeping, I had something to work on. I slipped that blanket into my bag and took it back home. I knew I was safe of ever being asked, "Have you seen the blanket that you made Harper (who was the child)?" Because if she did ask me, that would let her know, that I found it and it wasn't Even in her bedroom. Lol I still have it, and I will gift it to my daughter, if she has a little girl in November 😁

I finished reading the suggested book One for the Blackbird, One for the Crow. I loved it and was sad when I finished the last page. I wanted to keep reading:). Thankyou for recommending this book!!
Just finished “And then there where None”. I had read it ages ago but had forgotten what happened. Thanks for the recommendation, my type of book😊
😮Yes Toto and Journey are amazing! My husband and I just saw them live on Monday, their final night together on tour. They were incredible!!
William Blake wrote The Tiger which we had to memorize in school years ago.
Kay it’s over 20 years since I have curd tart as my mam used to make 😊😊 love all your knits as always 😊😊

Fuchsia is missing an H between the c & s, I believe “fucsia” is the Spanish spelling of the word.
Oh my goodness I must make the Yorkshire tart - fabulous - thank you ⭐️ love your knitting too.🧶🧶
And another comment. I live in Cornwall not far from sennen . We do have wonderful coastline with beaches, Coves and cream teas!!

Well done Dan, a lovely knit.
The neckline and the sleeve ends are the true colour 👍🏻

Love all the socks, very clever designs
Thank you guys what another amazing video I love everything you have shared! I too love baking so I will try your tart 🤩✨😃👌🫶

I go to Betty’s in Northallerton for the curd tart every time I’m back in Yorkshire. So good❤
P,s I am from Yorkshire and know the Yorkshire tart very well 👍
Dan’s Opal socks look like rainbow trout! I’ll have to get some somewhere for my trout fishing husband.
😊

Another great show.
I am really interested in that tart. I will have to try making one.
Fucsia is the Spanish of the English word Fuchsia 😍
Awesome episode, thank you! I find that sometimes sweaters with more stitches under the underarms fit better, maybe that's why?
Fucsia is the Spanish spelling for Fuschia. 😻

Hello from Swansea, Illinois.
Just started following you! Do you really love the NFL? WHO DEY!! Go Cincinnati Bengals!!!

Thanks for a fab episode! I guess it’s because it’s from a Spanish speaking country and that’s how they spell fuchsia.

Fuchsia is the correct spelling.
Looks delicious, Yorkshire curd tart, don't think the word 'whey' is connected to the word 'way or why'.
its missing the H! Fuchsia.....
