I am a big fan of Ayla and have read them a few times over again starting when they first came out. The parts that I love the best are the herbal healing, and how to live in those times. Plus I love animals so I love her finding them, and them becoming part of her life.
I love pulp in orange juice ❤I too have recently gone back to the Clan of the Cave bear series, and thoroughly enjoyed it like I did the first time. Ayla is a kind of a hero of mine too.
The Clan of the Cave Bear is my favorite book series of all time! I'm currently listening to book 3 on audible. I'm listening to them all in order and will probably start them again when I'm done. I hadn't read them for 20 years. I've never found anything even close to how amazingly researched and written this series is. Nothing can compare.
I also have the entire series of Clan of the Cave bears, love love the story too. Great job Dan, your knitting is stunning. Kay your dying colors are always so beautiful, love love them.
I love the juicy bits. I also love the Clan of the Cave Bears and the others in the series. I remember waiting for Jean’s next book in that series, I loved all of them.
WOW, a blast from the past...My Sister read the series back in High School '84....40 yrs ago?😳 I just remember how thick it was. I was more into sports and she was the reader.
I like the juicy bits but my kids didn’t so I usually bought “without pulp.” I had to look it up. Christmas in July started at a girls camp in North Carolina in 1933 just as a fun activity. Then a movie came out in 1940 that made it more widespread. And a church started gathering presents to send to missionaries so they’d arrive by Christmas and they called their present drive Christmas in July. And during WWII, the post office started a Christmas in July present drive to send to soldiers overseas. Thanks for another amazing episode!
Donna here, I like the smooth juice. The yarn colors are beautiful, the Ayla yarn gave me a Starry Night sort of vibe. I love the Earth's Children series, my favorite books at the time. I don't know if you know about the movie, they really tried to follow the book, but it might be hard to follow if you didn't read the book.
Kay I read The Clan of The Cave Bears years ago and I have to agree with you…it was one of my FAVORITE book series. So descriptive…the author has such a talent to make you SEE exactly what she wants you to see. Making me want to reread the series again. I have to tell you though I thought the last book was a bit unbelievable.
I have read all the Clan of the Cave Bear series of books. I love them as much as you do Kate. You showed some beautiful patterns today, wish I could buy them, because unfortunately I can't afford to be a patron at this time.
I'll have to retire just to keep up with you guys!! So many great projects! Read a lot of the agatha Christie books back in middle school, and the auel series in the 90s ? And then with 3 boys I pretty much stopped reading except to them.Lol. Its been amazingly hard to get back to reading with everything else ,and finding interesting reads, but it's happening.
It’s amazing to know that the author of your favorite book series had never written a book before Clan of the Cave Bear. Can you believe that was her first book?!?! Amazing. I think I made it through 4 books but never finished. Maybe I’ll start over again.
I don’t mind pulp. The Scrappy Quilt Socks are very popular. I see many socks being knitted, including mine. A great pattern and easy to remember. I adore the lace on your scarflet 😊
i absolutely love the way you describe a book i love to read also i love pulp in my juice and lemon aide i also love the wrape do and the color is so rich and beautiful you two are so special i love your shows you do a great job
No pulp thank you. That meadow yarn was perfect, just beautiful. The Ayla yarn also a gorgeous representation of the character. I loved how pationate you were about Clan of the Cave Bears. Thank you, Kaye
I only buy “lots of pulp”(yes, it’s a thing)orange juice. To me, it’s more like homemade. I have seen a recipe for lemonade that calls for roasting some of the lemons in the oven to bring out the sweetness.
I loved Clan of the Cave Bear. You have got me thinking that jaybe it isbtije to reread the series. So many books to read so little time. I am sure I read them as they were published. I am 75 so I would have been in mid twenties or so when I read the first book. I remember thinking the wait for the 6th bo9k seemed to take forever.
If some like pulp and some don’t, pour the juice through a sieve into the glass of those that don’t t want it and add that pulp into the glass of those that do like it. Win win
I love the juicy bits! Just completed the Drippity Drop socks and I think I'm all ready for the Jane Austen sewing this summer. Just a little question though, the diamond paper template - I'm going to attempt to make my own - what angle should it have?
Definitely without pulp!! When I want juice, I only want the juice, if I wanted pulp, I would just eat an orange. I do not feel the need to eat my juice.
A friend and I really enjoyed Auel's series but gave up with The Shelter of Stones. Waiting 8 years was too much, and we found other authors in that time period. Daryl Hannah played Ayla in the movie version of Clan of the Cave Bear.
I am on the pulp fence - not pulp free and not extra pulp. I prefer regular orange juice ... or citrus juice. Other juices - apple, grape - have to be pulp free. Thanks for another book recommendation. It's in my city library so I'll be placing a hold on it.
I read a couple of those books and at the end of the second book she was writing another one but it took forever and I forgot about it. I'm not sure what the last one is called
Prefer to eat the fruit rather than drink the juice, the juice gives me too much of a sugar rush which gives me a headache. The whole fruit is better for you anyway.
Just go9gled fichu and that is not exactly what Kate's scarflet is. A fichu was the scarf that ladies used as a modest cover for their low cut dr3sses.
I love the pulp!! Something for everyone!!
The more pulp the better! 😊
Orange juice - love the pulp.
Love the pulp! When my son was little he said, "I don't like the hairy orange juice!"
I love the pulp. Nothing better than a freshly squeezed orange. For that reason: most pulp 😊
I love you call it “juicy bits!”
I love the juicy bits!!
I love love love the juicy bits , they’re fibre and better for you 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
I love pulp.
Team pulp
I love your scarf! Loving all the little scarf designs like this and the Scarflette and the Sofie scarf, so fun and quick.
I read the whole series after you mentioned it years ago ❤❤❤ Clan of The Cave Bear is such a good book.
I am a big fan of Ayla and have read them a few times over again starting when they first came out. The parts that I love the best are the herbal healing, and how to live in those times. Plus I love animals so I love her finding them, and them becoming part of her life.
I love pulp! Especially when is freshly squeezed! Another great episode, love all the knits!
Yes pulp. Pulp free orange juice seems over processed.
I love pulp!!!
I love pulp in orange juice ❤I too have recently gone back to the Clan of the Cave bear series, and thoroughly enjoyed it like I did the first time. Ayla is a kind of a hero of mine too.
Love pulp!

Pulp for me!
I also read the whole series back in the 80’s. Loved them. I could happily reread them now. Thankyou:))
I LOVE pulp! I only buy the juice that says "with pulp" on the label. :)
I prefer the whole fruit! If I must have juice, I prefer the most pulp available - healthier for digestion and blood sugar levels!
100% pulp for me please! Especially fresh squeezed from Florida. 🍊☀️🌴
Another fabulous episode. The production as ever was top notch and Kay you are a genius. Love the yarn dyeing - thank you
Clan of the Cave bears was one of my favorite books! I read the whole series as it was released. Great books
I like the juicy bits in the juice because then I know it’s real and not fake / diluted which it’s often is.
WOW, a blast from the past...My Sister read the series back in High School '84....40 yrs ago?😳 I just remember how thick it was. I was more into sports and she was the reader.
Beautiful little scarf ❤ I love it

I love pulp, especially in fresh oj. Great podcast as always.
I LOVE and insist on juice you can chew! I head for the juice labeled- most pulp.

I do not like pulp either.
I loved seeing all your projects. Really excited for summer of stitching.
Kay, the "wrappy-do" is beautiful ❤️
I love my juice with EXTRA pulp!
Dan, your knitting patterns and colors take my breath away. Another A list project.❤🐻I know Kay is the designer behind you. Such talent.
That book was always a favorite, and I haven't heard it mentioned in years! I think I may reread the series over the summer. ❤
I love pulp in my juice.
I don’t mind pulp.
The Scrappy Quilt Socks are very popular. I see many socks being knitted, including mine. A great pattern and easy to remember. I adore the lace on your scarflet 😊
Yes to pulp. Especially if it’s orange juice.
I be love Clan of the Cave Bear. The whole series is very good and you should totally read them all!!
Thanks for another great podcast. I love the "Back to Pemberley" cowl.
i absolutely love the way you describe a book i love to read also i love pulp in my juice and lemon aide i also love the wrape do and the color is so rich and beautiful you two are so special i love your shows you do a great job
No pulp thank you.

I loved how pationate you were about Clan of the Cave Bears.
Thank you, Kaye
I love your new Jane Austin scarf. All of your patterns are so beautiful. Have you ever considered publishing a book with all your patterns?
No pulp for me😊. Kay I love the new scarf! A must have for sure
I would love a hat in that cowl design!
I love pulp...juicy bits...!! ❤😊
I only buy “lots of pulp”(yes, it’s a thing)orange juice. To me, it’s more like homemade. I have seen a recipe for lemonade that calls for roasting some of the lemons in the oven to bring out the sweetness.
Hi the little scarf was called a fichu in some of the books I’ve read.
Love pulp
No pulp…. Can’t wait to start the summer of stitching!! Working on some purple socks for my granddaughter💜. We are getting a lot of rain here too☔️
Pulp, please! 😉
I so look forward to each new episode of your podcast,I am currently rewatching all of them ❤ and I love juicy bits in my oj

No pulp!!! Called them ‘fuzzies’ when I was a child (decades ago).
going to have to reread the Clan of the Cave bear series of books - what a lot of memories.
LOVE LOTS OF PULP IN ORANGE JUICE!!!!!
Yes for bits 😋 I’m loving making my scrappy quilt socks. Thanks for yet another great podcast
I read those books a long time ago
If some like pulp and some don’t, pour the juice through a sieve into the glass of those that don’t t want it and add that pulp into the glass of those that do like it. Win win
No pulp!!!! The Yorkshire curd tart was delicious! Thanks Kay! The little neck thing it's called a Fichu
I love the juicy bits! Just completed the Drippity Drop socks and I think I'm all ready for the Jane Austen sewing this summer. Just a little question though, the diamond paper template - I'm going to attempt to make my own - what angle should it have?
Love the pulp🎉❤!
The choice of background music really enhances the video. Lovely.
Definitely without pulp!! When I want juice, I only want the juice, if I wanted pulp, I would just eat an orange. I do not feel the need to eat my juice.

Absolutely NO PULP😝😝😝😝
Laughing at the pulp conversation. When my son was small he told me that pulp was God’s one mistake 😂
Stopping the video to say NO PULP! 😂 it’s juice…I don’t want to chew it!
Hold the pulp, add the vodka! 😮
I love pulp but my hubby and youngest son don’t. So I rarely buy juice with pulp bc I can’t drink the whole bottle by myself.
No pulp!
I prefer pulp😂❤
I love pulp!!! A lot of it!!!
No pulp, unless I am squeezing my own juice. The neck item worn in the Regency Periodvwas a Fichu. Dresses during that period had low necklines.
Jean M Auel is a wonderful author.
Pulp is betters
I read a couple of those books and at the end of the second book she was writing another one but it took forever and I forgot about it. I'm not sure what the last one is called
I love pulp but unfortunately my husband does not.
No pulp
pulp is wonderful if you're making ice pops NOT for drinking
Definitely no pulp. And I think the small scarflet is called a fichu
No pulp for me...but now no juice, it's pure sugar and contributes to glucose spikes.
Extra pulp, please. Fruit in a glass!
TEAM NOOO PULP 😁
Isn't that scarflette called a fichu back in the 1800s? I think it might be.
In Denmark 🇩🇰 it’s called frugt kød ( fruit meat ) I am on team no pulp
Without for sure
Isn’t it a “fichou?” The scarflette, I mean.
Prefer to eat the fruit rather than drink the juice, the juice gives me too much of a sugar rush which gives me a headache. The whole fruit is better for you anyway.
