      @trimat2016 4 ปีที่แล้ว +49

      @@TheGauges420 I had exactly the same problem with a Corsair case a couple of years ago. Unlike Paul I couldn't just swap in some different RAM. I have the radiator jammed in and hanging off one screw. Really poor design by Corsair. The cases need to be 10mmm taller so that the cooler doesn't overlap the motherboard. I won't be buying another one of their cases!

      @@trimat2016 A lot of these compact cases could be like 20mm taller and longer and it'd fit nearly any consumer level radiator with ram vertically, and these super long 3080s horizontally. The next step up gets so big you might as well put a reservoir to fill in the dead space.

    Here is a huge NOTE: For this case, 4000D. If you plan to install a E-ATX mother board. You will need to move the shield in the case back. The screw is hind under the Cables in the back. Remove the screw and then move it back before installing the Motherboard. Example. The EVGA Z590 is a E-ATX board. You have to move it back or it will not fit.

      @@Bragadish3002 I am not using hdd slots. 3rd fan installed. You have to be careful with the cabling. The problem I mentioned earlier is caused by the cable pushing the part. If I were you, I wouldn't buy this case right now. You can buy a new series or look at different brands.

As summer in the South is always as grueling as Winters in the North, I think this is the build for my summer. Got a question. The 4 8gb sticks... if its going into a dual channel (which I assume that board is) does that affect the performance rather than having 2 16gb sticks in the correct 2 and 4 slots?

    • @Deukish
      @Deukish 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, the only real difference is that with 2 16gb sticks is that you have more room for future upgrading. Getting 4 sticks like that is mostly an aesthetic choice (4 light sticks instead of 2).

    • @ILikeWhatILike69
      @ILikeWhatILike69 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Doesn't affect performance directly but it could affect stability, and their ability to run full speed with certain motherboards, if the memory is on the QVL list it should be good though.
      Ryzen is pretty good with memory now, and the next ryzen 4000 series (or 5000 if they decide to call it that) should offer even better memory support.
