Bullet deviation makes the game better. You dont instantly die just running in open areas, them missing a few bullets allows you to react, find cover ,return fire or fall back. Part of the immersion of this game is that.On the surface yes it sucks ,but looking more in depth it does more good than harm.

@@user-em2rk3em2i oh it definitely exists, use the hellriegel or MP18 with the Buckhorn iron sights and just hold the trigger at the sky and you’ll see the bullets start to go everywhere except where you’re aiming haha
Makes the combat more close range and action packed, with way more melee than similar games. It's why I like it more than BF4 where I'm lasering someone with a scoped assault rifle half the map away on an open landscape or having the same done to me
this game could release today and it would still be just as incredible as it was 6 years ago, graphics, gameplay, everything. game is an absolute masterpiece.

The random bullet deviation was put In the game because it was said that soldiers in world war 1 and 2 often shot and missed the enemy on purpose.
Bullet deviation makes sense in a game based in world war 1. I think its a cool mechanic and really forces players to pick the right weapon for their playstyle or environment.

In that case I wonder if the bullet deviation is the fault of the solider you are playing as being unable to fully control the firearm. So do you think this is a reasonable mechanic to make the game more chaotic? Should it be removed entirely or reduced?

@@Charlesbabbage2209 No, not really. If you look a bit carefully you'll see that the game is based in WW1. When was it fought? The 1910s, and what were the 1910s? Racist and sexist. Black troops would never fight alongside white troops. Considering that the games' maps are mostly fought by the European powers there's no surprise that there'll only be white men. And the game already did their part of "diversity and inclusion" one class of every nation has a different race. The Brits even have two or three depending on the map! Indian, Black and Maori, and Maori's are rarely represented in games. The Ottoman Empire has no white men at all. I'd say that's even too much of diversity and inclusion in a game based on the 1910s.

Honestly, the random bullet deviation has never really bothered me. Sure, it makes it less about skill if you hit someone to some degree, but I feel like it’s somewhat realistic and fits the game. A spray pattern would be a little bit weird because not many people would actually take time to learn it because of the non-competitive nature of Battlefield games. And bullets going exactly where you aim would make many guns too OP.
You can still outplay and outgun people. Some people act like the mechanic allows for bad players to trump skillful play, which is never the case unless there are outside circumstances (i.e, you encounter a full health dummy and you only have 12 heath left, so you lose the fight).

BF1 gunplay is actually good. Sincerely, a top 0.1% BF player in every BF game and 4-5 KPM in BF1. This game has like 5 S tier guns per class. There's no random bullets, it's spread. Spread = your weapon becomes worse the more you spam it without resetting it and not respecting the way it works. Each weapon is different and that becomes even more obvious depending on the range you're spamming it at. Look at him at 3:35 spamming that gun at that range like a bot (idk if he's trolling just for the vid or what) but that's not how you should be using the gun at that range. You can spam it almost just as fast but with a reset in between.
Now if you want random gunplay - check BFV. Random recoil unless you're using semi autos. The difference between the random recoil in BFV and the spread in BF1 is that the BF1 spread is actually fully controllable and up to you. In BFV it doesn't matter what you do, it's random. BF1 rewards the better player, it's on the same level as BF3 / BF4 in terms of gunplay.

Personally i LIKE the bullets not going exactly where you aim, it kinda adds to the chaotic feeling id imagine these battles would actually have and it makes setting up with a tripod that much more worth it. Nothing like getting set up behind cover with a bar and tripod at a choke point imo lol

The Benet-Mercie Telescopic and Perino Defensive have tripods. I love them for it. The Perino Low Weight used to but I think they replaced it with a bipod in the same update that nerfed the mascinenpistole into the mud. I miss that little dude.
@@denharte8670 Dude, playing the Benet Tele. on small game modes is insane. You can duel snipers in cover up to 300 m and win reliably. People are just not ready for it.
literally just have some trigger discipline and let the weapon reset between shots. It's not random if you can turn the randomness off.
Everything is so good about it! The original settings, the sound design, the visual design, the atmosphere, the battlefield moments and the feeling that you are a part of a team effort... it really feels like they were passionate about this game

wish they kept updating this game, it's literally the perfect ww1 shooter, fun fast paced gameplay from all distances, immersive atmosphere, each gun has their distance sweetspot, fun and varied customization without looking like fortnite and keeping reasonable historcal accuracy. and the list goes on.

They did all they can with this game and all of it is perfect. The dlcs, new maps, weapons, and even bringing in new nations. They should have put that same treatment and more into BfV but unfortunately they just left it.

Battlefield 1 actually gives you an adrenaline rush and really makes you have fun. Thundering artillery, ripping gunfire, screams, and chaos. Only a few games are similar to the absolute madness found in Battlefield 1.
I think the "random bullet deviation" is just the weapon spread, if you make a short pause between the shots it should minimize.
I know people don't like random deviation, but in real life, there is always deviation to some degree, especially in WWI era firearms. I think it adds more realism to the game if anything.

@@garbage2882 Battlefield 1 is more immersion focused than arcade focused. Immersion does not mean realistic in a mechanical sense, but rather the feeling of being real from a player standpoint.

With the new movie “all quiet on the western front” and WW1 Veterans Day next week I’m sure also motivate people to come back to this nostalgia goodness
I remember receiving this game for xmas 2016 and I didn’t even give it a chance until late january 2017 when I found the unopened disc in my drawers. I got into a match of conquest very sceptical but came out the other end with my jaw on the ground in sheer awe of how good this game was. I played for 11 hours that day and by late feb early march, it had become my favourite game of all time. I have the best memories on this game, it’s just flawless.
The new "All Quiet on the Western Front" film made me want to play BF1 but on maps like Nivelle's Night, Passchendaele or Verdun.
It's not new, the original came out in the 1920s

tip: if you're trying to kill an enemy at longer ranges, try firing slowly so that the bullet will be more accurate and hit the enemy
or lear to control recoil, also it wont work all the time, lmgs after first shot are innaccurate and from that point are gaining accuracy, so the longer you shoot the more accurate you shoot

Honestly it is hard to capture the atmosphere of ww1, or any warfare for that matter, like this game did. the devs team making this game deserve all the best.
I think All Quiet on the Western Front coming out recently also helped out with BF1s sudden player spike.

I think the random bullets spread is great, it means you don't get LASERBEAMED from another country by a medic. The shorter effective range of most weapons also encourages teamwork and working together to push through choke points, and means fights are more likely to become big team battles, which I think is the most fun part of Battlefield 1.

@@Poppaai No, it's penalizing trying to shoot someone from an unrealistic range. Having good aim will still net you far more kills than having bad aim.
Yeah, the reason BF1 is the only FPS game I play is because it does not take skill at all compared to other AAA arcade shooters. Seriously, I got 850 hours in this game and I have not dedicated time to any other multiplayer FPS in years. Stuff like RBD lets not-so-skilled players like me kill people with skill. In other games like CoD, I get deleted by skilled veterans immediately whenever I try those games.
You should try rising storm 2 Vietnam which is a game from 2017. The realism is scary tho (it's free on epic games)
I like the bullet variation. Shooting a gun is not easy to hold perfectly still. So to me this adds more realism! But maybe adding more recoil for visual feedback would help it out more.

I finally got it this weekend, and wow. Absolutely fantastic. I'm a very new battlefield game and have only played v and 2042 before then. I love bf1. The soundtrack, fanTAStic map design, great balance and team play, great design, and brilliant historical inspiration.

@@daciannation5847 BFV was a decent game but advertised terribly. Whilst BF2042 had the potential to revive the franchise but it was overhyped and a bit disappointing. Whilst BF1 really felt like a WW1 FPS like the graphics and the maps were amazing back then and the weapons fit the setting and the game’s atmosphere just felt very immersive.

And the voice acting was very good and it really adds to the immersion and that was when battlefield was considered superior to call of duty in every way possible.

One of the things that I like the most from BF1 is the capability of satisfying those people that are competitive with enough interaction with the environment for those people that like a more experimental gameplay and it's amazing
I actually played BF1 today for the first time in YEARS on Steam and damn I’m rusty, but it was super fun. As soon as I heard about the over 51,000 players peak and the Steam sale, I was sold.
I sunk so much time into this game on the Xbox. That sale was perfect. And it still looks stunning.. the photorealistic scans really make the game feel crisp and true in a way I've never seen any other game do!

The deviation/spread is more realistic because it would be hard to keep your muzzle aligned with your sights while full auto firing so it’s not all about recoil control it’s also about trigger discipline

Yeah man I was playing over the weekend at like 3am on a Monday after work, I know worst time but there was 1 server and it stayed full for a few hours playing non stop and had the same squad and we were hitting 60K+ every game. Won every game, best squad between the 2 teams, I had so much fun playing.

This game has to be one of the best when my Dad found this at a Walmart in San Antonio for five dollars I kind of freaked out with joy.
I've never had problems with random bullet deviations. I think what it is is worsening spread the more you fire. This was meant to be a balancing factor between semi auto and full auto weapon, which makes sense since it's a WW1 game.

I think the bullet deviation is very good.. you are not supposed to use smg at that long range , at least try to burst fire it. There is some skill sealing.
If any game ever needed a remaster with some extra perks/upgrades it's this masterpiece.

Started playing this game again about 2 months ago on PC, there were a handful of servers that would be full. Last week I jumped on and noticed almost every server available was nearly full. I joined probably about 5 of them and every one had legitimate players, no fake servers that I joined. The game is more polished and more beautiful than any other FPS since it.
I still play this game everyday I cant stop playing it. The nostalgia is too much for me.

I think if I had to add something to this game, I might try to bring back the Commander game mode, but stylize it in a WW1 setting. Like you are a guy looking at a map in a bunker somewhere, with distant explosions and dirt falling from the ceiling. Where you call in recon planes, or an artillery barrage. Though, I do remember me being the only one who played commander mode back when I was playing 4.

the one thing i'd love to see in a BF game would 256 v 256 'tug of war' trench warfare on small to medium maps

Upon seeing the official trailer and the official gamescom trailer (with Johnny cash playing in it) I have never felt so hyped for a game in my life, and quite frankly haven't felt hyped for a game since. I'm still actively playing this game today and I am baffled it's already been 6 years, guess time flies when you're having fun

I'm pretty sure if you start shooting from hip fire and while still doing that ADS you still get the hip fire accuracy. Thus you need to actually ADS first then start firing or if you were hip firing you need to stop first then ADS then continue firing.
I play videogames since the early 90s until today. BF1 is the best FPS ever made. Atmosphere and sound is simply unmatched.
Love that deviation. Stops people from winning by spamming the button. It's a trade off between movement and accuracy. Do you want to move, sure, now you have lower accuracy. I think it's a good game mechanic balance.
Back to basics and hardcore is a great combination, my favorite is when I am a German defending from the French. The early morning sun and the sun moves throughout the sky. I have my bolt action rilfe, support class, luger, limpet charge and ammo create with a frag grenade or a fire grenade(I forgot some of the names). I would build trenches with my limpet charge and if would be rare for anyone to break though. It's nice to shoot a "k e e l" a man in one shot.
I love battlefield 1 so much! it keeps drawing me back, even though I've been playing it since 2017. It's an amazing game I'll never stop playing it :)

I just bought it like a few months ago, alongside “division 2”, and these to go along together like a primary and secondary. With Metal Gear Solid V as tertiary....
From the gameplay to the soundtrack, all of it is amazing, BF1 is really a timeless game, ill never stop playing it.

I loved this game when it came out. It's sad it felt like it didn't get the recognition it deserved but I'm glad to see a resurgence. Perhaps the most beautiful and engaging Battlefield DICE has ever made.
the bullet deviation is only really bad on the guns designated with "trench" or "storm" in the name or bio. They are designated as hip fire weapons so even over long distance you should still fire from hip because it cancels out the deviation.
I have so many memories of this game. So so so many great times with my friends. Sad to see the state of it given hackeds and just the general lack of continued support by DICE. This game is legendary and will always be remembered fondly
How time flys I remember when I got my first Xbox it was 2016-2017 and the bf1 Xbox bundle thing was out at the time but also the Minecraft bundle and I had to choose which one I wanted and to this day I'm happy I chose the bf1 bundle as that game has created countless memories

You know what I'd love to come back, the original version of frontlines as special events. Those 1-2-hour games may have been hell, but damn if they weren't exhilarating.

There was no bullshit in this game for me. You could play this game while charging as a group and you have protection from your buddy's and stay in the back to be extra safe and play the game your own way. I use to master this game on ps4 and got an insane k/d with the special kit machine gun in the muddy trenches hehe.
If you fill in the slots correctly on console you'll find about 20 to 30 full 60 player servers at all time, only gamemodes still being played are conquest and operations. So if you are planning on buying bf1 it is absolutely worth it and far from dead.
Bf1 is forever a classic, the amount of immersion
