it's actually both frustrating and easy at the same time. BF1 tanks are extremely powerful, yet they are the clumsiest tanks- if you are cought off guard you are pretty much scrap metal, with a slow painful death. but if you are in a good position or a good momentum, you utterly dominate and it's almost impossible to counter you. BF4 tanks feel more balanced, they are less powerful, there are more anti tank options but all the vehicles are more nimble - so the infantry vs tanks gameplay feels properly balanced. BFV tanks are constrained by the supply mechanics, otherwise they are in between BF1 and BFV, which is why they feel the most awkward- never powerful enough to push through like BF1 tanks and never maneouverable enough like BF4 tanks.
@@Silverswitch1 anti-tank guns were highly effective. handheld anti-tank weapons were far less so. to take out a tank with a bazooka would require a very good shot at close range. a tiger, for instance, would need to be hit in the thin armour on the roof, under the belly, or on the lower sides. from the front and at range, tank armour was highly effective. if bf5 were more realistic, tanks would be far more durable from the front and where armour is thick and angled, but could be killed in a single hit to the sides or to a weak point. the idea of a 88mm tiger or a 76mm sherman taking 4 shots to kill a tank at close range is comical.

Battlefield 5 is easily my favorite game of the bunch to play tanks in. not too fast paced, but not to slow either. also, many more tanks to choose from. I do wish that the shell velocity and drop were changed, but it's still extremely satisfying once you get the hang of things.
11:55 that's why I'd always flank the enemy tank as an FT17, you're more maneuverable than the other tanks and can get behind them fairly easily instead of just sitting there and taking the shots.
That's interesting, in its own arcady-casual universe all of the tanks fulfil their role and stereotypes they have in real life. The tanks in BF1 were mighty machines that had not the sights of the modern tanks or even proper tank optics so it wasn't always accurate. in Battlefield V the tank combat has a much slower approach and some parts can be damaged like the turret or tracks. Also, you aren't as mobile as a modern MBT. In Battlefield 4 you have the whole arsenal of modern weaponry and also the manoeuvrability they have in real life. I like very much how diverse the games are, making them so unique on their own.
The thing I like over battlefield 4 is you can choose the type of tank you want in BF1 and BFV like if you want a light tank, medium or heavy you can take it hope BF6 has that option Also battlefield 4 was a great game

For BFV, I think the game had some good sounds, physics, and animations for vehicles like tanks and airplanes. I just thought the ground combat and weapons weren't very good or fun to use, but the vehicles in 5 are my favorite of any game.
Taking in bf1 is just crazy because you really feel like you are driving a heavy machine of destruction (as long as you are not an Artillery truck main that just hides on spawn like a coward)
My favourite stuff to do is capturing enemy tanks, and use them against the same type. Pure satisfaction winning a Tiger vs Tiger fight. Gosh, I love tanking.

To be honest tanking in BF1 is op and annoying at the same time because you can get lots of kills from it but if somebody goes behind or on top of you , you have to rely on your teammates in the tank to kill them but if you don’t have any teammates near by you can’t do anything u less you get out the tank and become vulnerable

The most skilled required tank in BF1 is the Artillery truck, is mostly a glass cannon, and you are literally the target of every plane and horse, you have to know how to evade them fuckers very well.
btw the 125mm HE shell can penetrate up to 45mm of armour and has about 8Kg/16lbs of explosives in it, thus meaning you'll shoot a small bomb at about 800m/s and the shockwave it produces should slow down infantry and increase the wobbilyness of the tanker's vision who's been hit for at least 5s
shooting an attack heli in bf4 as a mbt (main battle tank) is a golden moment i'v learned from expierienc by shooting one in gulf of oman in the sandstorm
