It's sad this game was abandoned and we never got to see the eastern front. Not to mention the fact that it wasn't historically accurate in many aspects but the gameplay was solid.

On maps like twisted steel and panzerstorm, camouflage can make a huge impact despite what you may think. And also having good positioning can be a decisive factor in a fight. You got lucky with the enemies not having good pilots so that helped
Just incredible tank play....so so good with the machine gun....tracking guys into the brush and still killing them...hitting that finishing shot just before they pop behind a building. Epic match. Well done.

honestly, this game could’ve been one of the best if they kept adding to it and maybe added gore. WAW and HLL couldve had a good contender for WW2 shooter. movement, graphics, and sound design were GREAT
Not my favorite BF of all time and it had several flaws, but was MILES better than 2042. The squad play was excellent and I loved the fortification system. And hey, at least it had a scoreboard on day 1.

All ea had to do was remake this type of battlefield with more guns and more maps then boom millions of dollars

The 2D trees in the swamp are graphically still the worst stuff battlefield / frostbite ever delivered…
