Oh man, one of the greatest weekends of my life. Boys Life and Still Life went on earlier in the day, then The Locust to close the night. This is the reason I stopped playing hardcore.

My lord ... That VFW Hall in Wayne, MI ... conveniently located near the Little Ceasar's pizza ... and you better believe that they would make you a pizza with no cheese if you wanted one for some fuckin thing! ... That forlorn, foresaken, decrepit and rundown stretch of Americana coming out of Motor City that was Wayne ... Where even the fast food franchises had failed and were boarded up ... Where the motels were always one hour as an option for power nappers and came with an assortment of good condition used condoms, light wear and tear only ... That place hosted some of the best fucking shows I ever saw back then, year after year as I made my return fully knowing the landscape ... and looking at them now, well, it sure does LOOK like it was that much fun we were all having! Indeed, it does. :)
I think because they tuned so low (bizarrely to drop C I think, the same tuning as Kyuss) the guitars are much more more likely to go out of tune. A tuner wouldn’t have gone amiss though, I agree.
Open C, not drop C . I saw them many times during this period, and the guitars were always a bit drifty. I doubt they were set up properly for that tuning.
You hear the studio version & would never guess that the live version has so much energy & even a smooth 2 steppy rhythm to it.
isn't this the same show jimmy eat world and mineral played? what an insane line-up
Same fest but not same day
I was there the whole weekend. It was epic. I think about it often.

:)
You weren't alone man. My high schooler HC band didn't survive the year. How could we go back to three-chord mosh mosh after this??
You and me both. Incredible weekend.
I always forget what a great drummer Dan Diddier is
I can smell the parliament lights now.
Do they even make those still? Ha never seen anyone smoke them in forever.
Yes! I was totally in back talking to a girl with bangs and cat eye glasses and a Strand bag. She was mad cute.
I miss TPR so much. I don't know who had more fun - the band or us. I could watch Dan and Davey play every day. 'A Picture Postcard' is perfect.

Something about red paint just embodies the spirit of 90’s emo holy moly that song is fucking incredible
oh man the energy in the room during everywhere in denver looks so goddamn fun, shoutout TPR!!
I'm loving these old emo videos! But I'd like to see them at the correct aspect ratio.
TH-cam should have a feature for 4:3... Squeeze and de-squeeze.
Scott Beschta!
I love his bass lines!
@@LatestFlameLFR He was the shit!

Is that Jim Adkins on bass?
So is this so long ago that pedal tuners didn’t exist? Dafuq guys?!
34:50 cherry coke makes the speaker fall stage left!!
lmao so good
@37:42 - Very emergency!
No one is in tune, lmao.. beautiful though, adds to the charm. Also I just realized they detune so low!
also davey plays nothing feels good like he's making it up on the spot
Could they not afford tuners?
