@COMotorsports when you upgrade bearings pistons and rods. Is there any clearance issues you have to worry about? Any machine shop work or is it all drop in.
What is the modification required to the fuel tank to accommodate the EQT Tsunami fuel pump? Looking to get this installed soon, but want to give my shop a heads up. Can you drop a link to the mod needed for the fuel tank? Thanks!!
Basically there is a plastic clip that holds the tubes in place, You have to cut the end of it off so the new "basket" will fit all the way down. Very easy, and EQT has a video on their youtube channel.
Also good news, I took your advice and found a tuner that is up for the task I ask you guys about with my Gen3 1.8T Jetta build and you told me before doing anything drastic to find a reliable tuner who can confidently say they can do it. I talked it over with Russell Road and Racing in the UK and he can help me with tuning as well as getting the newer ECU with Simos 18.1 or .2 and make it pku and play to my car. All the big names couldn’t help me whether Unitronic, EQT, TPG Tuning or any other brand. I just want 500-600hp with a low torque so won’t have to go extravagant like this guy is but will definitely take some notes because everything I found was godly expensive and thought I’d really have to go thru JDY Performance for the miscellaneous mods other than internals where now I see EQT has the lpfp I can use. Things are all coming together now and just have to build my spare motor. JDY offers a boot on end kit with pistons, rods, head studs, gaskets and all for like $2500 and they say they are rated for 1000hp. What internals would you guys recommend? I’m building a 2.0T block from the newer MK7.5 GTI.
I have a manual mk7 gti with a gt2260s running the 93 tune from IE (About 440-460 whp). I want to do watermeth and eventually e85. I have 52k miles on stock bottom end. At what point should I crack it open to upgrade the rotating assembly?

Back for even more power!
Very similar to my build. Stock head?
@@itschefff upgraded valve springs
How much did it make this time dave
Not very often you see a manual R going big power, Love to see it ❤
I have the tsunami in tank pump setup on my 17 A3 and it definitely fixed my fuel starvation issues. Worth the price compared to the pm4 setup.
Soon to put typhoon on my clubsport
Awesome content keep it coming!
Which rods and pistons were used and specs ? OEM bearings or upgraded?
JE's, I Beams, and Cali Coated Race bearings.

How long did this entire process take you guys? great work btw!
hell ya
Id love to build a setup like this for my MK7R.
What is the ball park cost for something like this? Rebuild and turbo setup?
The video was... *Too Damn Fast*
😂 great video as always!
What pistons? They seem nice and quiet. My Mahles were loud as hell until it heated up. Sounded like a rattle trap.
very exited to see the HP numbers for this one. will you be running pump gas?

What was the purple bottle you were using to on the bolts?
@@steveallam purple bottle was assembly lube. Used on bearing surfaces, not on bolts.

What does my mk7r need for 500 hp
Hybrid turbo, MPI and a LPFP would do it.
