If anybody wants to come here, we can help you! Great video as always.

As a business owner who buys raw materials from China, I can tell you that the shipping often costs way more than the materials. That really hurts the margins.
@@shiningflag2737 Even with tariffs, the shipping is still the single largest cost. Of course, I buy heavy stuff (raw materials). But just for example, a recent order I made my materials cost around $500 and the shipping was $1200. Air freight would have been over 4k. The shipping cost did include customs duties but since you can't ship without clearing customs, that's considered part of the shipping cost.

Very cool. I could order a few things. Sell them over a month or 2 at a booth in Mall of America. Then use that money to buy more stuff to do it all over again next year.
Not to sound sarcastic but I do also have advice for you. You just broadly described how any retail business works, although figuring that out is smarter than a good portion of adults out there sadly. If you aren’t scared of trying and potentially failing, and know you can get back up and try again then you’re already in the right mindset. Operating a brick and mortar, or even just a stand in the mall like you mentioned, is a big step which I’ll explain why. You should look into “drop shipping”, essentially having an online store where you don’t have to spend money keeping anything in stock: you sell marked up products with a small margin for yourself that when ordered from you, you order from the company that makes the product originally. Selling viral products or products you think could go viral, especially these days with TikTok, are good items to sell. Opening a stand or store come with a whole host of problems such as; - having the upfront capital to keep stock on the shelves, pay for a POS/register system , signing/business advertisements, the stand itself, a way to lock up when you aren’t there, the list goes on. - the cost of rent, which for a booth at a major mall is probably more costly than you’d think. - Your own daily expenses (gas to and from, wear-n-tear of vehicle and stand, potentially food at work, the money you could be making working a normally by the hour job OR paying an employee to work for you. Lastly, you probably should have several thousand, if not 10s of thousands because most businesses won’t be profitable the first few months and you need to have the capital to float those months until you hopefully become profitable.
@@Alex_k_Q That’s just the situation with one store, but in reality, many of the products exported from China to the United States also come from here.

20:33 Austrian here. The flag shown is actually the official Austrian flag, but it can only be hung in front of government buildings, if I am not mistaken. It is actually illegal for normal people to hang them outside of their houses. So at your house you can only hang the red white red flag without the creature on it, but the police here doesn’t really care.
Who cares? It’s the same in Germany. But as a German I’ve seen the flags of East Germany, Prussia or the German Empire on buildings and they weren’t removed by the police. So the flag with the coat of arms is definitely also not a problem just because of a law that only officials and the state authority are allowed to raise it, no matter in which country. You could probably even raise the old flag of the USSR here. The only flag which I haven’t seen in public in Germany is the flag of that *old* Germany in the past….
Love your obsession with flags. I think I have the same obsession. I was about to say, show us the flags! I already have the signed book! Keep up videos mate.
I used to live not far from Yiwu and occasionally got stuff coming from there. It definitely ruined souvenirs for me haha. Whenever I travel to other countries and I go to souvenir shops to buy something I realize it's all made in Yiwu and I can just get it from there for a tenth of the price and I end up just not buying it lol. Could even look up the stuff on 1688 (now Alibaba, which is basically all the Yiwu store's online presence) and it would have like a minimum order quantity of like 2 or 3 and be like less than a dollar
That's why Shein is so cheap, because basically by shopping there customers cut a few layers of middle men out. I wanted some long dresses for work. In Zara they cost 60 euros (o c made in China) on shein was 12 euros. Bracelets 0,50 cents and other jewelleries around the same price. They didn't tarnish at all. People argue that work conditions are bad... however I think that they can beat any competition due to automation, lean management and harrdwork. Chinese individuals were also able to buy out many European companies, so they now posses their know-how, IP, trademarks etc. By combining all those elements together, it's not surprising what they are capable to achieve. Plus their focus is on another level, but I would say that this is true across the South East Asian countries. Different mindset and upbringing than ours in the west.
I absolutely love such videos, because it’s shows how much stuff we get in our countries made not as high quality, but in mostLu priced over the top. After that I realize that many things are not even worth buying. Now tourist shops won’t be the same for me either 😅

better-help = better-blackmail
why? Any experience?
@@danielorozco1728 there are many reports about horrible experiences. Plus while they advertise as "an alternative to in person therapy" in their ToS they literally say it's not and they can't even ensure the person you're talking to is a professional Therapist. EDIT: Oh, yeah. And they've been CAUGHT literally selling their customers (PATIENTS) data.
@@danielorozco1728legit a scam
@@danielorozco1728 Like every 2nd video that's exclusively on them. The positive ones are probably all paid.
Love your china videos
20:33 Austrian here. The flag shown is actually the official Austrian flag, but it can only be hung in front of government buildings, if I am not mistaken. It is actually illegal for normal people to hang them outside of their houses. So at your house you can only hang the red white red flag without the creature on it, but the police here doesn’t really care.
中国不能挂的国旗只有一个,就是中华民国的国旗,,,也就是现在“台湾政权”的国旗,因为这是中国内战的历史
Why is it illegal?
@@erzsebetkovacs2527
It’s not illegal, it’s just a formal version of the flag for officials and government agencies.
Love your obsession with flags. I think I have the same obsession. I was about to say, show us the flags! I already have the signed book! Keep up videos mate.

The umbrella lady's daughter is so elegant and classy
You've brought back a lot of memories! I've been here about 10 years ago, but all looks like the same. :)
Great video ❤
That is so funny, I’m literally sitting on a toilet while he said that 🤣🤣🤣
Super fun and interesting episode, wow
I used to live not far from Yiwu and occasionally got stuff coming from there. It definitely ruined souvenirs for me haha. Whenever I travel to other countries and I go to souvenir shops to buy something I realize it's all made in Yiwu and I can just get it from there for a tenth of the price and I end up just not buying it lol. Could even look up the stuff on 1688 (now Alibaba, which is basically all the Yiwu store's online presence) and it would have like a minimum order quantity of like 2 or 3 and be like less than a dollar
Bravo Peťo, to je pecka
Great video as always. Good to see you made it to China and congratulations on 1 million subscribers 🎉❤
I like the umbrella shop
Congratulations on your 1 Mil subs!!!! fantastic job!
