Yeah I'd really like to try it but I don't think I would enjoy it so I bet this is why its got loads of bad reviews because its peoples first cruise who think they won't like it and don't like it but also don't want to pay a high price. I'd probably try out one like this ship because its cheap and I'd be less annoyed if I wasted £200 than £300+.
Watching Simon's videos gave me the confidence to solo travel and its easy to see why. He clearly demonstrates multiple times in this video how to make conversations with strangers.
@@OohRight Everybody is so closed off in the modern day lol, Was very common a long time ago to erupt into conversation to passers by and be social in my opinion!
This is why I take reviews with a grain of salt. This cruise has everything the other cruise’s have and actually looks really nice! For $200 you can’t lose. NCL and RC cruises can go for over a grand. Plus, you even got a balcony!
Reviews are often done by people who are extremely experienced and thus, set in their ways. I always tell people (clients or not) that it all depends on what you want to do on the ship or on the trip in general. If you just care about the ports, the ship isn't really that important. You can take a small ship without all the bells and whistles (Viking, for example) and have a great time. If you want the ship to be the destination, that's what you can pay (and pay and pay and pay and pay some more) for. My friends who book with me that want to party as much as possible take a ship that isn't the newest (say, 10-15ish years old, Radiance or Freedom class with RCCL as an example) and buy the biggest drinks package and pay in advance for the signature restaurants and only cruise in certain areas (with ports they've partied in before, so don't need to go ashore at). The friends who want the best value tend to go for even older ships (or a few of MSC's options) or niche ships like Margaritaville or Costa and spend their money onboard (drinks package in advance though) or in port. If you want both, THAT is when you get into the upper tiers in pricing. If you want it all, you have to pay for it all.
