This was an older song. Old drummer, no neck tattoo. Tatiana has looked different in every video. Personally I really like this one. She looks elegant.
The whole band could dress like Ronald McDonald and I would still love the music.

@@Hollywood6IX I suspect its long time fans unhappy that the band, and Tatiana inparticular, are different people now in their early 30's compared to when they were in their early 20's. Some people just can't handle that the group they've put on a pedastal has grown and changed over the years like everybody else.

In an interview somewhere the image thing was discussed and Tatiana said someone once told her she should dress more feminine to sell records. So what did she do? She intentionally dressed down and grungy. She’s her own woman and does what she wants with her look despite other people’s opinions. She is a powerhouse on so many levels, and takes no bs from anyone.
This is all Tatiana. She loves to change her appearance, especially in the music videos. She gets bored very quicky 😂

Anyone complaining about Tatiana changing her look just can't accept that artists evolve. If anything, she just seems to be becoming more comfortable being herself than she has in the past.

Agree. Diehard fan here since 2018. I have an all-Jinjer playlist among my mixes, and it contains every track. I’ve seen every video multiple times and cannot wait for the new music. Tatiana would have to murder one of the other band members to lose me as a fan. 😂

This song is on the same album as Pisces, King of Everything. So it's just as old as Pisces. Don't understand why fans would give up on a band that has blown up. Maybe it's the feeling a parent gets when their child leaves the nest. Music really hasn't changed much, just maybe more technical, which is a good thing. Can't wait to see them in Nov.

This is a metaphorical love song about Tatiana's search for a soul mate though, and with Pisces the second personal song that is more about her, while most other songs are more about worldly topics or the band or their home region.
Not sure where you heard the thing about her looks, she always dressed a bit extravagant and always differently, this is nothing really new or changing, and frankly pretty superficial thinking anyway. Personally I think she always looks good and nails every style she goes with.
This video was recorded before the live session of Pisces, shortly after she cut off her dreads and before they got their (at the time) new drummer, which is in this video is still their substitute drummer, who jumped in after the previous one broke his spine in an accident, but he himself could not keep up with Jinjers insane touring schedule. Tatiana usually does her own outfits and makeup by the way, at least when on tour. The most recent one you did was Home Back, followed by I think Noah, then Perennial live at Wacken.
In regards to the director, there is actually a short making off video for this one, where Tatiana contemplates to murder said director. :D

The 'die hard' fans who don't like jinjer as much anymore because of Tati's change in appearance aren't actually fans. They were people who were just creepily thirsty over Tati and don't like the look anymore.
Now I am sure there are actual die hard fans who don't like jinjer as much anymore, but that would be because of song writing and sound, not because of a freaking neck tattoo lmao.
Your assessment about sex appeal selling is not wrong, and Tatiana has in fact embraced her feminine side over the years, but only when you compare to their very early stuff where she dressed like a tom boy. (Go watch their 1st video Exposed as a Liar) However, the examples you are giving are actually more recent than this video, which is from 2016, so as you can see, while she does use make up and sometimes dress more feminine than like in 2010, she still has her own sense of style and isn't really trying to 'dress up' like the sexy femme fatale type.

I understand what you said about "sex sells" but this an older video, before "Pisces" even. And she has a diferent style every single video, this one was more diva, for sure, but the last video they made (HomeBack) she´s like a soldier on the frontline. And for what I heard and read about the next album, sound wise they will go even more hard and uneasy, so further away from selling out. And yeah, what´s the problem with saying someone is beautiful? People get offended for everything nowadays.

The record label has no influence on jinjer. The band has full creative control just like an independent artist and a handful of close friend's that are also in the production side of the music industry. Together they create their own music video's do the mixing and producing and filming. one of the guys doing alot of the work is a former band member of jinjer.
Tatiana has said herself that she wrote this song as a call to the Universe while she was looking for love. I think that had a lot to do with her wardrobe choice for this one, she was dressing to reflect the fact she's trying to find that romantic partner in the lyrical content... imo

The two latest Jinjer videos are 'The Prophecy' and 'Home Back'. I guess (and only guess) that's what the critics are refering to.
I think this discussion may be bigger in the (still very conservative) US than elsewhere.
But I don't care and still like it (t.b.h. more than ever). Change and transition is integral part of Jinjer.

Hm... I actually saw and heard I Speak Astronomy and Home Back videos firstly here with you guys. Amazing. She is beautiful. But what I not see? The live version of Who Is Gonna Be The One. Another layer how beautiful, kind, sexy and playful is Tatiana.
Oh, and I have an opinion about famousness. Jinjer become more and more famous. And that means their followers growing. And every well known entity have some kind of "haters". That means with the growth, that negative group will grow too obviously. And in time, everybody will getting older, and will get the comment "you are not like as 10 years ago" "You are not the same as before". Seriously? Of course nobody will stagnate in stasis. Of course everybody will change. And humankind never satisfied what they have. They always want something else.

It seems you read some of the older Jinjer fans. You can split Tatiana's appearance into two periods:
1. Tatiana with dreadlocks.
2. Tatiana after she cut off her dreadlocks.
During the first period she always had a particular style - such a tomboy.
And then she started to change her style continiously. She could be a diva, could be a little goth, could be a sweet girl and could be a wamp, could be a witch in the forest and could be Alice in Wonderland. Tatiana could be anyone she wants. But she never became a tomboy with dreadlocks again. Somebody miss this part of her personality. But Tatiana said that she's grown up at last. She's not a tomboy anymore. That's life, everything is changing.

The lyrics are some form of a flirtation (not sure if that's the right word) but in a poetic way that turn this into a [metal] love song. As far as know Tatiana's been almost like this forever; a duality of an elegant woman and a gypsy. I'm guessing fame has opened more options to her. Yes, the record labels push women into looking more "sexy", but not sure how much of this is label's demands. Anyway, as long they keep makin' good music, I don't care what she wears. Of course I wouldn't wanna see Tati give into business rules, but I don't idolize my favorite artists; they're only human, and at some point they might have to make some tough decisions, considering the fact that metal musicians usually don't make that much money (at least compared to that of more popular genres).
Why would anyone lose interest of great music because of how Tatiana changes her looks? She is a beautiful person no matter what she wears or how she looks. I am Jinjer fan because I love the lyrics of the songs, the band's amazing sound/talent, and Tatiana's kickass attitude :)

Sex sells. It isn't about record labels. It's about human nature. Artists make no money from record sales. They make their money from live shows and merch sales. Anyone who is losing interest because of how Tatiana dresses, wears her hair, or how she does her makeup is no real fan. They’re really hitting their stride as a band and the songs keep getting better. As far as the look, Tatiana hasn’t made any radical appearance changes since losing the dreads. Y’all should dip your toe back into the Jinjer pool. The water’s great. And you should check out the most recent official video for the song “Home Back” from the last album Macro. Watch that and see if you think there’s any sell out when you hear the most brutally low growl you’ve probably heard from her.

I was really getting into this channel...until they went into the producing and engineering they do of alleged, wannabe artists, who need computer technology to sound decent. It's people like them who are taking everything that once was and still should be sincere, genuine and beautiful about music and tainting it with technology. If you look at the history Tatiana has always looked and acted differently on every video. She doesn't keep the same look. Watching videos of her just being her, you can actually see she is a fun person that is silly and playful. Most artists have 2 sides if not more. Do I think Blaze died in 90's and came back in the 2000's to bring gangster back to rap?

If you are losing interest in the band, then you were never really fans of the music. The novelty of a female growler wore off. I'll be getting tickets to go see them again later this year. I was under the impression Tatiana wears whatever the hell she wants. Sometimes you feel like dressing up, sometimes you don't. When I saw her she wore a t-shirt that said "humans ruin everything", I've also seen her sing in a dress. It is what it is. Don't forget to check out Baba Yaga from Slaughter to Prevail.
Saying Tatiana has changed is kind of weird as she looks different in every single video I have ever seen of her. Looks aside, if anything, her voice has actually improved and her song writing has evolved to virtual poetry. She and the band are aging like a fine wine!!
