Yes, she writes her own lyrics and it's mostly very personal. This time she writes about their homeland - Ukraine, and the war that going on there for many years. Lyrics - "This house is not a shelter anymore" "I want my Home back" "Don't you make us homeless!"
It's not just war in Ukraine, it's RUSSIA's dastardly hybrid war against Ukraine with occupation of Crimea and Donbass, where Jinjer's hometown is. Jinjer became refugees and moved to Kyiv, but their families are still in the occupied looted and ravaged by ruSSia war zone under military-mob contriol with curfews, destroed economy and lack of human rights and laws.
And the thing is… no one ever knew this was happening. Western Society thinks it started in 2019-2020 but it actually started in 2008, and really popped off in 2014

Very much so. :( it is some very real stuff. Also, though written from their experience, they are telling the truth of civilians all over the world that our leaders from Bush to Putin would rather sweep under the rug.

She writes all the lyrics. The band composes the songs and when complete, gives it to her for lyrics. She has said that Eugene helped with some lyrics on the Micro EP, but otherwise 100% her. Considering English is not her native tongue, this is above impressive to me!
Hi Jennifer , Merry Christmas. Tatiana has written 90 % + of the lyrics. Eugene wrote the lyrics to Dreadful Moments , Sit Stay Roll Over and the third verse in Pisces . I'm betting he also wrote the lyrics to Dip a Sail. I meant to ask him but , when I met them before the show I was at , I forgot.
There music speaks so much of being from the Eastern Ukraine and the ongoing conflict between them and Russia. Put yourself in there shoes and experiance the music from there point of view. This was a Very... Deep... Song.

Being from Myrtle Beach, it still blows my mind that you’re from Florence, Hollywood. Haha Anyway, I’d call that kind of person charismatic. Tati is a self-confessed introvert...but she has so much charisma and swag that when she flips the proverbial switch to performing, she’s magnetic. She’s also a great actor. And yes, exact same band members as Pisces.
This song is deeply personal to them. It’s about the war in their home of Ukraine. Their bassist Eugene said this about the song: “War... War never changes and it never stops. No matter how much grief, misery, suffering and pain it brings there will always be individuals who either reap the benefits or just relish in it's power. They will drive others to march and kill in the name of... for the sake of... if we look really closer... nothing. It is really hard for me to embrace how people in the 21st century still believe that there is something to fight for on any battlefield. We all depend on a few major economies in the world and their national currencies. We all are at keystrokes length through the Internet. And yet... every day people are driven to kill their true brothers and sisters on our one and common land we call Earth. Then 2020 comes around and there is a glimmer of hope that this might be a turning point. That a common threat will unite all of us and this might be the beginning of a new era... but no. They still march and kill. Every war is a tragedy and a crime against humanity in my opinion. No matter what your beliefs or ideologies are, nothing justifies taking homes, health and lives of innocent children who inevitably suffer in every military conflict. I always smile when I hear Jen G called out as the person who recommended a reaction.
To be honest, I think Tati is actually an anxiety driven extrovert. This is actually more common than you'd think, but it would explain her crazy on stage persona that she gets into when she performs, or how she acts in an environment where she feels safe (like with her friends). Introverts don't really fall out of their quiet shell like that, because that is simply their persona. But an extrovert with anxiety acts seemingly like an introvert, because they're nervous about everything - even in interviews she gets a cold sweat. That being said, I think she manages this a lot better if we compare current interviews to very old ones.

The lyrics relate to the ongoing war conflict in the Donetsk region they come from in Ukraine.. they definitely want all this horrific stuff away from their country and go and visit their families

I think the tea party is about trying to maintain normalcy even if sheltering in one's basement. I think the masks suggest there is more to it though, but I haven't unpacked it - it seems significant that the masks are dog, cat, and rabbit though which suggests a symbolic relationship (maybe cats and dogs fight but they both eat rabbits? Dunno).
I know quite a few introverts who have learned to be very talkative, sometimes even downright overcompensating. So I can totally see someone like that being the life of the party. Probably be wiped out the next day and just binge netflix tho haha.

I'm pretty sure you've not done "Pit of Consciousness" by Jinjer. I would highly recommend the "live in Kiev" version, but on your own after watch the official video.
She's genuine bro. Y'all putting too much emphasis on Tati. She writes most of the words, melody...but at the last minute. Classic procrastinator. The guys write the music. So the song is called home back because where they are from there's a war with Russia. The city that they are from is occupied and at war. So they can't go home. Get it they want their home back. Maaaaan I know these Jinjer videos are a year old but you guys really need to react to her vocal play through of Judgement & Punishment. Her by herself looking SHHHMOKIN as usual just absolutely killing it. The songs grooves with a nice reggae feel and of course heaviness.
Yes, she writes her own lyrics, and the song isn't about the war machine, it is more specific, it is about Russia's invasion of Ukraine (their home) the lyrics towards the end "I came back home, so I want my home back" is where the title comes from... Basically the whole band was from a border town in Ukraine but they had to move to the capital because of Russia's invasion and occupation, they want their home back.
Edit: also, the bands name isn't in reference to Tatiana, actually none of the current members of the band, including her, were in the band when it formed, but the lineup is the same since there live session of pisces (the album version was their old drummer). The name is actually an onomatopoeia (like "bam" or "bang") for the sound of guitars... At least that is what Eugene (bass guitar) and Tatiana have said, but even they aren't sure, as neither were involved in the bands naming.
Tati does write her own lyrics but she admitted in interviews that she procrastinates and often improvises if she didn’t write lyrics yet.

Yes Tatiana does write her own lyrics and I read that song was personal to the band because it deals with the never ending war that's been going on in the Ukraine for all their life times so in retrospect I suppose that they are one of the bright lights to come from the unfortunate darkness that has been over the GREAT CITIZENS of the UKRAINE

This song is about the Russian invasion of the Ukraine and the annexation of Crimea in 2014.
I could be a little off with a few details but from what I remember from one of their interviews this song is about coming back from one of their first tours outside of the Ukraine and being unable to get back home. Fearing for her safety the band arranged for Tati to go stay in a safer part of the Ukraine for months and all the time she just wanted to go home and be with the band and her friends.

Usually when it comes to rock groups it's the guitar for me even with rush with the great neil peart but when it comes to Jinger it's the drums for me. It's like the drum is a melodic percussion in their musical piece.

Hello from Connecticut...This is one of their most serious songs yet at the same time this song swings like nothing they've done before . That opening is pure swing and as always Eugene is killing it..He is the Cliff Burton of this generation...And Tatiana sings that middle section like a born pop star..If JINJER were an American band she would have gone solo already..Good stuff...Peace from the Northeast.

Trash Talkers- yeah it is an album celebrating the ten years BABYMETAL has been a band it it goes through songs that have been chosen by "the one." They are remastered and in January they will be back at the Budokan to perform this album!
You have only done Pisces, Teacher Teacher, Perennial, Cloud Factory, Noah and Home Back? Do I see that right?
This song is about the war in their home region in eastern Ukraine, which they fled when the war started in order to continue to make music. They eventually ended up residing in Kiev, but they have been basically on tour ever since, just make ends meet, right until covid came along. That was their longest break without touring, they had about a few hundred shows in the last couple years alone.

Spiritbox also had their new song Constance released. Which is a tribute to Courtney's grandmother that died last summer, which she could not visit nor attend her funeral due to the closed borders. Her grandmother wanted her to sing a song on her funeral without the extreme vocals, so this song is a way to cope with all that. The video is made by a guy called Dylan, the song is named after his grandmother which suffers from dementia and you will see her as a nurse on a photo in the video too. The whole video is mostly about the topic of dementia and you'll see why and how. After Holy Roller, which was their heaviest song, Constance is definitely their "heaviest" and probably deserves a bit of a trigger warning - there are several reactors who ended up crying because they could relate so much to it.
Another grossly underrated band you might be interested in is Infected Rain and their Vocalist Lena Scissorhands, which is actually a friend of Tatiana. I'd start with their songs: Orphan Soul, Black Gold, Enslaved by a Dream, Mold, Earth Mantra. There is also a song called You Against Me, which has a low quality bootleg version with Lena and Tatiana singing together, but Tati's mic was unfortunately also way too low.

Great song and a hell of a video, their best one in my opinion. You gotta do more Jinjer in the channel, they are something else. Peace.

Hey guys, could you react to the band "Oddko" and either their song "Disobey" or "D4TM"? It's a very unknown, but very great band with a very unique style. Their vocalist also did most of the music videos by himself and helped creating movies like Pacific Rim. I think, you would like it^^

She absolutely writes her own lyrics. Having said that, she did say from time to time Eugene might help her out with a couple lines if she gets stuck. I believe Dreadful Moments and Sit Stay Rollover are the only two songs where Eugene wrote the lyrics by himself. English is not her first language and she still does a better job than a lot of native English speakers. The thing that really makes her lyrics stand out is that she pours her soul into what she writes. So many lyricists just make word salad and write for the sake of having words to sing, but she draws from her deepest feelings and emotions. Tatiana is also very introverted, she loves hip-hop, but as far as I know has not done any collaborations with any hip-hop artists, at least not for as long as she's been a part of the band. They've also recently said that they are not a fan of collaborations and don't have any intention on ever doing one unless they see an opportunity that they feel is right and fits what Jinjer is. These are all the same members that were in the Pisces live session, however in the studio version the previous drummer, Dmitriy Kim was on drums.
Also: "I came back home, so I want my home back.", that's the line where the title comes from.
I heard somewhere that in the "tea party" the other two characters are supposed to be the dogs of war ... The song is about the war in their country and how they want their home back after the war

Introvert vs Extrovert is all about whether you emotionally recharge by yourself or in a crowd. You can be an introvert and still "get up" for a couple hours to be the life of the party ever once in a while.
