I’m just now seeing this. I’m so sorry for the loss of your dog companion. Nice dedication to your pet friend. They are a part of the family. You did the right thing. We can’t replace them, but we can adopt a new one to fill the empty space. A new pet companion is always good! God Bless.
You know it is something about animals that dwell amongst us how they bond with our personality and traits. It is almost as if they can read our minds and spirits, knowing when we are happy, sad, or pist off about something. When to come close, stay away, play, and be amusing. It is a great interaction forged in those thoughts and memories that stay with us forever. I always had some type of companion whether it be dogs, parrots, fish, homing pigeons as a child into adulthood. 12 years is a good lifetime for dog!!! It is just interesting to think you saw him chillin out before going to bed and your Madame saw him chillin before going off to work a few hours later. I am a strong advocate in the afterlife and spirit elevating to other higher realms of existence!!! I would not doubt that is where Cohiba would be!!! Sounds like he was and is a very loving and compassionate companion. They don't call them Man's Best Friend for nothing!!! 888 is my number. Peace and Blessings.
Ocht mate, that’s so sad about Cohiba. You gave him a good life and he died at home exactly where he was most happy and loved. Great you have a new rescue, what a wee champ. We have a rescue too and it’s such a good thing to do.
Sorry to hear of your loss. It is always a very difficult situation for sure. IWe have been in your position many times. Cool name for your pup.-----#1969
Hello Brian. I'm very sorry for your loss. I too swore up and down I wasn't going to get another dog after my last one passed several years ago. Now I have 2 ha. 🐕🐕 #117 please.
Sorry for your loss. I appreciate your reviews because, your adventurous smoking always keeps my mind open to trying something new. Throw down trip eights - 888.
#505. Sorry for your loss Brian. We had to have our dog put down 2 years ago. He had an inoperable growth on his chest that was pushing against his wind pipe and choking him. Glad you adopted another. Love the name. I’ve never tried any rope blends but that one sounds good. Thanks for sharing. Happy smokes
Good luck with the new pup and very sorry for the loss of Cohiba. Just went through the same thing with a 9 yr old rescue and it only took 2 weeks to rescue another one. Too lonely without one. In honor of my last dog who most recently passed, I'm going with #120. The date of his passing. Good luck to all.
Condolences for the loss of Cohiba. Although I have had and lost dogs before, I can never imagine losing the one with me right now. It is a hard thing to say goodbye. Those ropes look so good! I want to get some more rope tobacco. Last year I picked up a generator and I want to get it set up where it will kick in immediately if the power ever goes out. A few years ago there was a windstorm that took the power company over 4 days to fix. I don't want to go through that again. Generators are worthwhile investments. Long live Dunhill!
Very sorry for the loss of a great friend. We have the same talk about not getting another, but we always end up with more! I appreciate all the content! I'll take #1803
These G&H ropes are my favorite family of tobaccos. I've tried all of the unflavored and flavored varieties. I think all of the constituent tobacco's are the same or very close but I could be wrong. The flavoring hardly suppress the overall taste so I'll buy whatever is available as I need to have some always in stock. They're not complex smokes but deep and robust tastes. I found that putting rubbed out twist at the bottom of the bowl, then a 1/4 to 1/3 inch chunk on top, rubbed out again at the very top produces a long-lasting smoke that smolders quite well. Just need to be sure your stomach is full as they are potent. I use a serrated cheese knife to cut; works like a charm. Thanks for your videos. Regards from Silicon Valley. #1000.
Dunhill looks great! Should be fun taking him on the boat this summer. My favorite parts of some of your videos is when you’re rambling. Again sorry about Cohiba. My number is 2.
Morning Brian! I'm sorry for your loss. Its never easy to part ways with our beloved buddies..I've had 3 in my lifetime. Dunhill looks like fun lol. Sometimes I cut ropes with an old cigar cutter. Take care
This is my first time to watch you channel. Sorry for your loss. I too live in PA near Lancaster, and have a cabin in Huntingdon County. Came to your channel on a recommendation from the Spurgeon Piper channel you were one of his top 5 contributors. Just heard you mention JM Boswell, I call him friend. Be well, best of luck with Dunhill.
So sorry for your loss, I’ve always had a dog since I was a small boy and the loss always hurts, even more the older I get. One of my favorite toasts is “ To our dogs! May we become the people that they believe we are.” I’ll pick 1,970
Morning Brian, my condolence for loosing Cohiba i know the feeling believe me and i know how it goes when it comes to another puppy sneaking in to fill the void. May Dunhill prosper and live the long fulfilling life his brothers did. Make sure you get his puppy vaccines done before you start taking him out side. And i can tell you none of the patients i dealt with is called Dunhill and i did work in few countries so your pick is gold. I smoke these ropes on regular basis and my favorite is the brown twist, i did not find the flavored once to produce any of the promised flavors to be honest! Be well and stay safe brother
Thanks my friend it was really hard I cried like a baby all week , hard to tell in pictures but what is your guess on what Dunhill may be ? They told us Lab/ Boxer mix but I think with the pink around one eye it may be pit bull ? I just hope he’s good around grandkids so far he loves them
@@beans316 i know how it is i go through this on daily basis but the only thing to be thankful about is that his last act of kindness was that he went away on his own for his eternal comfort rather than putting you in a place where you have to make that dreadful decision. From the way he looks i would say pit lab, if he have an under bite certainly then a boxer in the mix. Socialize him as much as possible to make sure he become human friendly and make sure the grandkids play soft with him to develop affinity toward kids and know not to play rough. Labs are kind dogs and that trait is what make them great family dogs
Sorry for your loss. I lost my lab 2 years ago and I still miss him. The G & H twist are a little strong for me, but I do enjoy Bosun cut plug once in a while. **** # 917 ****
754 - Sorry to hear the sad news. 🥺😥 I can’t even imagine what you’ve been thru. I know I’ll become a sap when the time comes for my 2 rescue. I love GW ropes. Thanks for the vid.😊✌️
So sorry to hear about your dog Brian. I lost mine almost a year and a half ago so I feel your pain. I still think of her every day. Thanks for the review and take care my friend!
#212 Sorry for the loss of your dog. My wife and I are dog lovers as well. We've got two now, both rescues. We've also lost two in the last 6 years, both of them also rescues. We've got a cat that was, you guessed it...a rescue
Brian, I'm very sorry to hear that sad news, that is terrible. I'm sure Dunhill will be a great new family member for you. Since your new friend is named Dunhill and he is just a pup, my guess will be 1938, for Dunhill's Baby's Bottom 1938 blend.
It took me awhile to appreciate but now Gawith Hoggarth & Co. bulk Flakes and Ropes are favorites of mine. I really like the Brown and Black Twist offerings. I hope they stick around.
Good morning and Happy Saturday my friend. Dunhill is an excellent name. I was happy to see you adopted a new family member. I look forward to hearing stories about him. I notice that's a steaming cup of coffee. I've had this and I agree that when I smoked it, it reminded me of a cigar. In fact I cut rope twists with a cigar cutter. It makes a nice coin. I think this gets better the further down the bowl you go. The SG Chocolate Flake is really good too. There is a difference, the SG you get slightly more Latakia flavor, but not overpowering. Have a good weekend. 1792
Brian, I'm so sorry for your loss. I know how the loss of dogs hurt. They are way more than just animals, they are family. RIP Cohiba. Here's to a long, healthy life for Dunhill. 99

#207 Sorry for your loss, we lost our schnauzer mix Midnight one day last summer when we let her outside one day and she took off in the time it took to put my shoes on to check on her. 1925… Hey Brian I’m glad to see you got another puppy. Hopefully he will fill the void and bring you some relief. Animals or a wonderful thing and when they’re gone it’s like a part of the family. Keep up the great reviews really enjoy hearing you on Saturday.
Sorry for your loss and congratulations on your new adopted pup I’m smoking some 1792 flake in my Doran pipe it smokes flakes very well my number is 20
Enjoying all the GH vids - my favorite producer! Beautiful tobaccos. Just had some whisky twist yesterday and it sat me down for a while - very strong. 1225
Sorry for the loss. I've been there. Congrats on the new pup. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this blend. Never had it but I love G&H. If you like the brown unscented, you may like the brown flake number two. I liked it better. A little more flavor to me. My number is 12
So sorry to hear about your loss. It’s amazing how quickly those little guys become part of the family. I tried that Black Irish X, it was good but I couldn’t keep it lit. Hey Brian! So sorry to hear about Cohiba. Best wishes to the new addition Dunhill and great u were able to adopt from a rescue. So many good animals deserving of good homes. Really happy to hear this review. I've been sitting on some of this twist and just never got around to trying it. Will def be trying it soon and look for some of the other aromatic twists. I for got to comment on the twist. Just got some this week. To me smelling it, it smells like beef jerky, love this stuff. I am toss between this and Peterson three peas. Both of my great great smokers from my cellar. Have a great week Jeff

Sorry to hear about your dog. I’d be sad if I lost my fluffy cat. Maybe I’ll have to give one of these flavored ropes a go. But we all have our own tastes haha: I LOVE brown flake scented, but I really dig Lakelands. I’m glad you tried it! 633.
464. Sorry for your loss. I know the feeling. My dogs name is also Bryor but obviously I spelled it differently. Enjoy your new Guy. I'm sure he will fill your home with love and companionship!
Sorry for your loss Brian I lost my dog a year ago, my wife and I decided that we would not get another dog . just don't want to go through it again. Jury was 12 also so I will go with. #12
Hi Sir, I enjoy your videos very much. Especially I find it funny that you review HU tobacco with great appreciation even living in the states. I am from Austria, around Salzburg, close to Germans border but have to import the tobacco kind of illegally. However. What I wanted to say: I feel sorry for your beloved dog passing away recently. We adopted a Labradoodle called Rudi in early January and we already can't imagine living without him. I feel with you abd wish you the best with Dunhill ❤ Best regards, Josef
Sorry to hear. They are like our children and it hurts really bad. We’ve had cats for 21 and 33 respectively when it was their time. It takes months before you stop seeing them from the corner of your eye! That twist looks inviting. Let’s go with…1492
I'm new to your channel and I enjoy your commentary, I'm wanting to start making pipes also. I'm sorry for your recent loss. Do you have any tips for a new pipe maker? 777
Sorry about your dog bro. We have a liver n white Brittany named Shasta and she has been the best dog ever. Such a sweet disposition and soo good with the children/grand kids. I dread the day she leaves us and such a great huntin dog too. I just ordered some of this last night and have tried the black cherry rope.777 is my # thank you from Utah.
Life has chapters and that includes our time with pets. Hard to turn the page sometimes, but a new pup will certainly help. Here’s hoping this chapter will be your best yet. 831

Sorry you guessed right but someone picked it before you
@@beans316 That's fine at least I guessed it 😅 sorry again for your loss and thanks for all you do in the community 😊
Thanks my friend I really love HU stuff there really good tobacco with very minimal toppings that’s what I appreciate the pure natural taste
Sorry to hear. They are like our children and it hurts really bad. We’ve had cats for 21 and 33 respectively when it was their time. It takes months before you stop seeing them from the corner of your eye! That twist looks inviting. Let’s go with…1492

Life has chapters and that includes our time with pets. Hard to turn the page sometimes, but a new pup will certainly help. Here’s hoping this chapter will be your best yet. 831
Just for fun I'll pick 777, I find the ropes taste like maduro cigars as well. Always enjoy the vids.
