Combining top-tier Bright Virginias and tangy Reds with two distinct varietals of matured Oriental leaf - 2018 Izmir and 2019 Basma - this warm weather smoke is further elevated by raw, unpasteurized wildflower and blackberry honey from a family-owned apiary in Morganton, NC - a community that Cornell & Diehl called home for over 20 years. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm mmmmmmmmm!!! This is one delicious blend. I’m puffing away as I type this. A month or so shy of being tinned a year ago, and it’s already improved. It was great fresh out of the tin, but now it’s something truly special. Like flowery fig newtons that has a creamy-pastry taste to it. Hard to explain, but it’s wonderful. The smoke is thick and hearty as it should be, and packs and burns great. Thanks so much Jeremy for and your teams great and hard work over at C&D. I only wish this was the small batch offered in 16 ounces. I’m not a fan of folklore sad to say. It’s not bad, It’s just not for me. Rock on!
This is really American artisan pipe tobacco. Extraordinary. A true treasure.

Can't wait to try this. I didn't get any Sun Bear the first time it was released but I made up for that by getting plenty of last year's Black Locust and it is a fantastic blend. I won't be missing out on this one anymore!

It's ok. I don't know why everybody freaks out over these blends, or any the small batch stuff. It's all just a gimmick and pipe guys are nuts.

This sounds good. But never having the cash at the right time . I've never gotten a small batch before. Just my luck I guess. But any way down to the nitty. I recently opened a tin of Triple Play from 3 22 and a tin of temple bar from 10 or 11 21. And wow great job one the plugs. Perfect press like a plug should be. They are a pleasure to slice. If possible keep up the great work . Also have you ever thought about a match for Irish flake that is something I would absolutely love to see from you

I wish I were able to smoke C&D blends. Especially now that I know that they started here in NC. Unfortunately every one I've tried has something on them that does not agree with me. Always leaves a chemical sensation. I wish I knew what it was as y'all have some creative offerings.

Sounds interesting. I have found that Virginia blends tend to bite me, so I am wary.
So no alcohol in this one?
The recipe for the casing of this blend is unchanged. The honey is sourced from a Morganton based apiary this time around, and the silver tequila and elderflower are still used.
