Joe, did you find it distracting that the bokeh changes shape as it moves closer to the edge of frame? Such as in the video at 8:26. It seems to be round in the center of the frame and as it moves to the edges it becomes oval. What format did you shoot in?
Hey, I actually liked that the Bokeh changed shape towards the outside of the frame. I feel like the lemondrops as I call them, gave the lens a slightly vintage look. This particular frame was shot on the Z Cam E2-F6 at Full Frame. There was a typo on the video where is says "S6", which is Z Cam's Super 35 camera.
@@joenicklo Thanks for responding. Not trying to nit-pick; I was genuinely wondering what caused that. Sometimes I was getting artifacts like that for my slider shots even without using warp stabilizer. I think I resolved it by not allowing auto key framing in the Resolve delivery output options.
Thank you for this video. Learning a lot. I’ve been thinking about z cam for a while and saw here you used the F6. Do you like the S6 or F6? Im debating whether full frame is worth the extra cost…
@@joenicklo I see it has a slightly bigger sensor… The low light might put it over the edge for me. Price is a factor but maybe the extra $1500 is worth it. Thanks for your input. I appreciate it!
@@joenicklo I’ve had that thing in my cart at B&H for at least a month. The bundle I like comes with the Ninja V, storage, and a few batteries. They’re out of stock of that bundle but it should come back soon apparently. I also have a ronin s and am thinking of getting the focus motor for it, but torn between that and the tilta one.
@@joenicklo Hey, so I think I’m ready to make the leap. They had recently dropped the price of the EF mount version, which is what I want. I know you have an affiliate program and wanted to make sure I would use that… So I found something on B&H as far as the package I might want. Do you have a direct think to this so you’ll get credited? I, unfortunately can’t paste links in here. But it’s B&H# ZCE2F6NP. And, do you have a link to the F6 but the EF Mount? Still debating on the kit. Thanks, Steve
@@cmdr.shepard are you talking about the sigma classics and not just the standard cine primes? Also how is this a brief test. There is a whole minute and a half sequence hahaha
Yeah and I actually adjusted the tint too. I didn't want to fiddle too much with the grading on those shots to show exactly how this lens will look when paired with this camera.

I LOVE the looks of the lens, it is Mind blowing
They just came out with a “vista P”!!! Have you seen it?
At 0:19-0:21 B-roll while the product is rotating, why is the right side of the lens jumping around? Is that warp stabilization causing that?
Good eye. I probably tossed stabilization on the clip since the slider I have has some micro vibrations. I just didn't catch it.

@@thebandit4393 No worries :)
I have been looking at these lenses for the last 3 months. Thank you for the review. #LensGoals
My pleasure!

I have both the F6 and S6 and to be honest, I find myself filming with the F6 a lot more lately. It does exceptionally well in low light.

What can I say.... incredible!!!
Another great video! 🙏
Glad you enjoyed it!
What mic are you using in studio?
RODE NT5 into a Zoom F6. You can see the gear I film these videos with here: kit.co/drivenfilms/the-driven-films-youtube-studio-2021
Amazing lens. Love the bokeh. I think the catch phrase is accurate 😅
So accurate :D
What’s codec do you use? H264.H265 or Prores?
ProRes 422 most of the time
You’re going make me go broke after this 😂
In that case, You know which link to click if you buy it right?
Good video
Thank you.
Subbed!
Great video! How do you think this holds up to the CP.3 series?
I've never shot on CP.3
Hi Joe.
Hi Versa
@@joenicklo So how you doin?
Dope lens! Glad you didn’t break it 😂 this actually sounds like Sigmas classic set
Sigma have a lot of breathing. Gotta see this in a static environment though. His "test" was very brief.
I did mention is wasn't a scientific test.

your bokeh pronunciation isn't quite right . its the typical western way to say it not the correct Japanese way
You’re spelling of “right” isn’t quite right. Love you Gabriel 😂😂😂
