My gosh, what a beautiful lens! Picking this up with the Ursa 12k!

Subbed! I love your videos and appreciate your wealth of knowledge. Just came across your channel these past few days. I commented on another video and said you sold me on the Tokina 50-135 (which you did) but I just noticed that right now the 25-75 is 10% of @ $4499 instead of $4999.
I used your promo code and that knocked it down another 5% to $4274. And because I don't live in California -- I didn't have to pay tax! So out the door at almost $800 off. I can only afford one lens at the moment, and The 25-75 seems like the best useable range for me. Can't wait to start shooting some work with this in the next couple months.
    Anyway, thanks again!

Looking forward to your next review. Was wondering when you'd get around to covering this one.

Thank you!!! It’s called All Female Card and there’s a channel on TH-cam showing some clips we shot originally back in 2019, that I’ve edited into segments. th-cam.com/video/BYXVofw58C0/w-d-xo.html

I'm definitely not in a position to purchase such lenses but they seem like a dream to use. I really enjoyed watching this -- thank you!

Was just revisiting your channel again last night and thought it's been a while since we heard from you, and lo and behold, a few hours later you come out with this and demonstrate a great new lens, it looks really good, I have the 11-20, would love to add this but beyond my budget. Interesting to see that your Raven has been replaced with a Komodo and a Pocket 6K Pro, maybe you could give us your thoughts on the Raven->Komodo move as I've been considering that myself.

Hey!! I still have a Raven and I love it. I’ve been using the Komodo a bit more but when I see the footage side by side I still love the Dragon sensor in the Raven. It’s been useful for filmmaking to have two RED cameras, particularly to have one on a gimbal and one on sticks. Waiting to see what RED releases next before selling anything. The BMPCC6K Pro is an awesome camera, much better than the 4K version, nice image but like the REDs not great in low light. It’s not a RED though, still my fav image comes from a RED. Take care of yourself!!

this lens is so good… have you try balancing bm6k pro with this lens on a gimbal? per example dji ronin rs2? second question: is it front heavy ? i mean lens itself. thank you for the review!

considering this lens in PL for my zcams6 - really love everything about it BUT - I used to shoot Sony and often rented the Fuginon MK's which were great because they were very light and also had a macro function, so for those situations where you might need anything there were tops 18-55 was good but the tokina edges out that for a more practical range of 25-75 just wish it were lighter and had macro - I guess you can't have it all!

you can always get a diopter if you want macro shots

hi, first time here, watching from Africa. Can i use metabones to add a stop of light and reduce the crop factor in komodo?

Nope, it's already S35 (perhaps a bit wider)

It looks like there is a color difference at different T-stops.

Noticed that too, wonder if it was ambient light changing or the lens itself

It is good lens though, the picture at the aperture T2.9 is nice and sharp. Colors are very pleasant.

This lens reminds me of a line in the fairytale Goldilocks and the Three Bears in that it’s “just right”.

I'm sure Tokina will build that. They only have one 16-35 full frame zoom so they need more in the line-up.
