Have you thought about going to one of David's Barn Bash Concerts? He holds three per year on his farm. The next is the Mule Day Barn Bash on April 5th, 2025. I'm on his volunteer team and would love to meet you if you'd attend.
Love, love, love it! David and Charlotte sound so good together, and she has sung with David as a duet on several of his cds and as a backup singer with his daughters, Callie and Maggie Beth. The drummer is Charlotte's husband, Greg.
This song is so beautiful! I’m going to sign language to it at church next Sunday. God be praised for His immeasurable gift of Christ our Savior. I hope my participation in this praise will bless Him.
The difference between this and O Holy Night is the emphasis for the audience. O Holy Night is focused on the majesty and divinity of the baby being born. His birth is what makes it a Holy NIght. For this song, the emphasis is on the worshipper, instead of the Savior. It emphasizes the responsibility of the individual to surrender themselves to the worship of the One who has come to save the world.
Phantastic as always! Heavenly! Truly inspired! This really showcases David's music theory background. I don't have any 'musical background', but I can tell the chord progression is different and involves a 'certain feeling' that draws the listener into a worship experience. Almost a 'command' (for lack of a better word) to "fall on your knees" to worship The King! I'm veery glad you reacted to this masterpiece and appreciate both David's and Charlotte Richie's exceptional talent!
Great reaction! Charlotte Ritchie was a member of the Jeff & Sheri Easter Band, a Gospel music group from North Carolina, and before that the Nelons. She has been a solo artist for years now and toured with David for a few years as well as joining him on his recorded-to-DVD specials. David is credited with writing this song, though I have no idea how it is classed because it is all the words of O Holy Night.
I just love your reactions to David Phelps, this is such a beautiful song and their voices blend so well together. You should check out David's " Mary, did you know" from his " Christmas holiday celebration concert ". Absolutely stunning !! Thank you so much for reacting to this magnificent voice 😊
I found this arrangement a couple of years ago on TH-cam, and fell in love with it. I would love to sing it with a female vocalist as a wonderful duet. Unfortunately I am a baritone. Not sure if going down an octave would render it ineffective or not. I've had a few semesters of vocal training but it's been a while. Nonetheless, it's now on the top of the list to just listen to over and over again. Beautiful.
Charlotte's husband is actually on drums. Here she is singing Revelation song with David actually doing her back up. th-cam.com/video/WGklmBUy_p8/w-d-xo.htmlsi=cJAeAH1CuyGw6hyi

Can we call it.....a different song with similar lyrics? LOL! Every time David sings, its a masterclass of how to deliver a song.
