Jordan Smith won The Voice, Season 9, in 2015. While watching each week with my daughter we agreed that this guy was better than all the 4 coaches! He won with ease! Now, he sounds even better! I hope he's still performing.

Even when it´s after christmas, you need to react to Lucy Thomas and her sister Martha with their rendition of Mary did you know. Two incredible young ladies from Great Britan. This may sound weird but I’d bet he played trumpet at some point. The reason is say this is when he is mixing in his 1st passage, he has a lead jazz trumpet sounds and ends his notes with a fall off…He’s very good!
2:40 No offence! we all know how amazing Jordan is. But you're right, there is a bit of modification and pitch correction going on in the beginning! but I think it's only for that part and the rest is live.
It is standard practice for over a decade now post editing means manual pitch correction is used not just in one or two spots but generally throughout the performance. The singer's pitch accuracy then becomes as accurate as a keyboard with 440hz standard tuning equal temperament. It is absolutely precise but unnatural to the human voice eliminating micro tone expressions which creates the character of the voice and the personality of the singer as each singer has unique forms of expressing the voice. Nowadays everyone becomes generic because every note is executed exactly the same by the computer.
@@CarloRodriguez10 Yup especially by the standards of the computer. He used pitch correction even maybe if against his will as the producer would have applied it. Everybody uses it these days that's the level of the competition. Nobody can be as pitch perfect as the computer.

I saw Jordan in concert last Christmas (2023)!!!! Amazing!!!!
His voice kind of showcases a vulnerable feel to his music that makes it emotional to me.
My wife and I got to listen to him do this performance two weeks ago in Nashville. So beautiful and powerful.

Jordan was in his high school marching band. He was a drummer. He studied music buisness at Lee University in Tennessee.

There is no correction in Jordan Smith's voice. He is that pitch perfect.
