I've switched to a De-Googled android and OSM has been great so far. The only thing I haven't found an alternative to is Speech to Text. Everything else, every - thing, I've been able to find FOSS or POSS alternatives. I hope we're at tipping point making it possible for more people to wean themselves off Apple/Google OS's

Good explanations but your use of close-ups (zoom-ins) cut off important information, making this more difficult to follow.

if possible can you make it clear this is a guide on how to edit street maps and not on how to actually use it ie browsing the map, understanding colours and setting a route. thanks. People are probably having a hard time finding this information because alot of people into editingapect have posted videos with confusing video titles.

Google Earth, and Google maps work together.. through your friend and mine.. the Google babe 😘... I am a computer programmer who does not use proprietary software... absolutely on purpose... remote sensing was what I started my graduate school work in... I get accurate information with continuing updates... accurate to 1cm².. . free from Google
proprietary software and Mr Jobs.. he couldn't take it with him... no worries.. I hope his wife got a new home finally 🙏

I have been designing personal sized dirigibles.. with this in mind... Google Fi gives me global coverage in real time... I think I will let Ms Google run the autopilot.. no worries.. she can do the math 🧮... fer sure

@@richardcarew4708 Yeah, maybe for some things but they also paid a butt ton of money to cars and pilots to video and record everything around us.

i just wanna learn to go to an address 🙄 every single tutorial is about something other than using it for simple directions. Can't even seem to find my town.

You don’t really use this to navigate. There are lots of programs that use the data here to navigate though

OSM is more of a source of information, to find an address you'd use an API, or more likely a client.
