Respect to you guys on roofs in all weathers, all that climbing and clambering around, but plz get a bench bud for ya cutting, i was holding me back watching you do all that bending, from a 52 yr old chippie 😏
Have you tried marking one to get the angle then measuring between each truss in one hit and cutting everything down below in one go to save going back and forward?
Surely we’re nailing a batten to truss rather than the big bearer up the valley? Obvs the dream is when the roofer/ site asks for neither and they throw the grp in raw😅
This is a truss roof, pre made trusses held together and braced with 4x1 timber. I’ve got more videos going into detail about how we do all aspects of the roof! Cheers for your comment
Cheers Ashley. Appreciate the extra time it takes to do the tutorial videos. Great work!
Cheers Jon! 👍💪

Tasty work young man
Cheers palll!
Got to be the most crappie job on any roof😬Nice one bud👌
It’s up there with the twist nails isn’t it! Hahah cheers pal! 👌
@@ashleydavenport3794get ya self a ppn gun pal, you'll never look back
Still use 9x1 or 7x1 in Ireland just lay it on top of the rafters then run timber up the edges to nail a batton to...
Good workmanship ash
Cheers!! 👌👍

Haven’t tried that one no! Sounds like it would be good tho! 🤔👌
That’s the way we do it
Should be all same size IF truss centres the same 😛@@denty32

Hahaha that would be the dream! I think it’s more to support the grp than a nailing point but yeah annoying job either way 🤣
that's al lot of intertwined timber action compared to other roofs sir, is there a specific name for this type of roof ?

@@ashleydavenport3794 thanks man, definitely will be checking those 👌
Slate roof?
No mate, but the ply is 18mm so got to inset it. Sometimes the roof packs come with 6mm ply and we can lay it over the top
After 8:06 back to your normal speed then ash👍👍💪💪🥇🥇
🤣🤣 you know it! Had to drop it down a gear for the start of the video 😆😬
