Fab rundown, and great advice, I hadn't realised that there was a real-time preview app too! I've been struggling away making incremental tweaks and rending like it's 2005. So thank you, and to anyone stumbling across this comment in the next few days - Both are up on sale atm thanks to black Friday deals. So grab before it doubles in price again :)
Yes it can be used in all render pipelines. I will not make a tutorial covering those as I do not use any other render pipelines besides the Built-in. You would have to check the documentation for use in other render pipelines.
I am having an issue and Idk if this would fix the issue but when I move or look in certain areas the lights I have disappear resulting in them baking and just not appearing or not working properly.
It depends. The scene on the thumbnail of this video takes about 30 seconds on my 2070. Larger interiors like my Villa at Sea world take a few minutes. The longest bake time's I've had was on my world Underworld Cave, which took about 37 minutes but it is a truly massive world. It also depends on the quality settings so you can lower those for faster bake times.
I don't know what version my Bakery is, but it does not work anymore for me. I used to make worlds years ago. Are the old version of bakery just not supported by today's vrchat unity version? (I don't have access to an updated version anymore through the store)
Hi, Goop here. Long time watcher, first time commenter. Was wondering if you could make a detailed video on reflection probes and how to best utilized them for VRChat?
I covered them in the lighting episode, which was part 4 of the world creation series. Place them in areas where you can have an appropriate bounding box and set them to box projection. My day/night cycle prefab uses a custom reflection probe controlled by a script. Don't use realtime reflection probes. For more info see docs.unity3d.com/Manual/class-ReflectionProbe.html and docs.unity3d.com/Manual/UsingReflectionProbes.html
I may eventually remake my world tutorial creation series. If I do I will split the tutorials up more and have an individual episode dedicated entirely to reflection probes.
I wish I could use this, but I use a Mac. Yea me day maybe. Does it affect quest differently? I noticed in the Lake House that my avatar, which is normally pink was bright white.
The lighting in Lake Escape is different because the direct light comes from a Unity real-time light, and Quest does not support shadows for real-time lights. In addition, the Quest toon shader barely supports lighting. It should normally work fine on Quest, plus dynamic objects are lit by Unity light probes. Try your avatar in either my Chinatown at Night or Room at Sea worlds.
I think I just finished the script, and hopefully will record it today or tomorrow and edit it next week. I should be able to release it to patrons before the end of the month. It is my longest script so far (10 pages, twice as long as my second longest script, the lighting tutorial) so the final video could end up being an hour long after editing (meaning it will likely take me over two hours to record).
@@elllieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee that was 10 months ago when I asked, and @iconoclass said "no".. Did you see the new unreal to unity plug-in?!! and you know there's a vice versa... I guess it can be fun living in the future with all of these cool AI gadgets
I am having allot of problems getting bakery to work 🙃 😩. I really enjoy your content thank you so much for your time. Maybe I'll catch ya in VRchat names Joshosh.
It does! You just need to know how to use it. Also I'm pretty sure Unity only allows for refunds for products when they don't work support.unity.com/hc/en-us/articles/4538645853460-What-is-the-Asset-Store-refund-policy-

Bruh this is a great overview. Thanks you.
Thanks a ton for this tutorial. I actually bought this a few months ago but never had any time to look into it more closely
you are an angel!!!
You are amazing. Thanks for these visual examples. I understand much better my already bought asset.
To anyone viewing this now iI am pretty sure Orel's shader now supports SH as well!
Yeah it supports MonoSH now. It didn't at the time of recording
This is AWESOME! Cant wait for part 2
Thx for the video, waiting for part two!
I would like to know whether Bakery can be used in HDRP and URP, and if so, could a version of HDRP tutorial be published

at 3:40 you say you use a shader more advanced than bakery's, where would you get something like that?
find out in part 2

How much does it take to bake a Scene with your system?

@@iconoclass awesome i want to get a 3080 just for bakery so I can bake like a god :D

what a coincidence! i just got bakery (in a very legal way) for my vr chat world????
Would it be a somewhat simple job to take the game code from vrchat and adapt it from unity to unreal engine?
no

It will look beautiful on Quest after you watch part 2 on Patreon! It’s dropping at the end of the month!
