I think it is more simple than what most people are theorizing. I think RDJ's Dr. Doom is just a variant that looks like Earth-616's Tony Stark. And if the MCU is going to restart after Secret Wars then they'll probably be recasting a lot of characters like Doom anyway.
We saw ultron bots like robots in illuminati universe earth 838 maybe that was created by that universe ironman learned some dark magic like that universe dr.strange with the help of book of vishanti before it's destroyed by wanda to destroy thanos but he became doom. How? Maybe he possessed. *) Doom could be more dangerous before than thanos and someone like dr.strange or illuminati's trapped him under spell or himself to get trapped or cursed by try to read some specific spell ( that it could be somewhat comic accurate he did to resurrect his mother). And when tony stark try magic to defeat thanos he accidentally released doom conscious that possessed him like how wanda dream walk through multiverse. But y with earth 838 because we have already created that universe with all character's including reed richards children thanks to sam raimi. *) After that when incursion event kicked RDJ's doom be throned as god emporer by dethrone loki or by destroy him by defeating this average so called avengers. If loki is powerless then loki form a multiversal superheroes avengers or if be destroyed then it's upto our TVA boys and deadpool to do loki's job as of by in avengers doomsday. *) In the end of secret wars then it would either tony kick doom out of his mind or sacrifice along with earth 838 doom. Somehow it is smart play to play with doom along with rdj by not reveal the actual doom for his next phases. One thing is clear that there are gonna be anything. This is my theory.💚🩶
