Very Intriguing to a person who does t know alot about Dr Doom. i really wish Disney would take the time to fill in all these plot holes and stories that didnt seem to make sense during the Infinity saga. I would be awesome StoryTelling tying together alot of these Stories that seemed to go unanswered since the “blipp” and filling it with Dr Doom Under storya d his rise would be a FANTASTIC idea instead of spending several yrs trying to explain it in saga 5,6&7. Use That time to explain how these universes are collapsing and the rising threat as we lead up to secret wars

Hard agree. This channel, and a few others, have published theories and potential story arcs for the MCU that would have been incredible trajectories for the multiverse saga. I rip my hair out over here When I read things like that from Bob iger who said "not enough executives on set" is the reason all of this MCU output has fallen flat 🤦 (Hint, Bob: STORY).
It can work but at some point marvel needs to let things be separate concepts. Doombots are doombots and Ultron was Ultron. Hank Pym was a genius scientist too, Doom wouldn't borrow others genius that would admit defeat and his ego wouldn't allow that. He could build doombots better than Ultron bots. Like Dr strange eye of agomotto being separate from the time stone. I didn't like they merged them making the eye useless in new fans eyes. Just my thoughts but I do agree that it would fit in the MCU and work. But would Dr doom really do that? We won't get Ultron fighting doombots if they are the same thing. It takes away from the marvel we know n love.
I totally get what you're saying. Doom is, indeed, egotistical to an insane degree. However, he is also pragmatic. He might repurpose the Ultron drones to take Latveria, then promptly melt them down and make his own. LOL

We have to repurpose them into MCU which is one universe amongst the multiverse ya know. Ultron bots are cool but so we're the doombots infact doombots werent one version he made many different sizes, form and function differs based on the job. Plus doom made clones of him that think they're doom another type of machine. It actually takes away from what victor von doom is and has been to make him tied to Ultron or reliant on who built Ultron. I'm at the point where I don't get excited for the mashups of characters or mixing three comic stories into one movie since the MCU might be destroyed then reset anyway. I guess it takes pressure off the changes made since it can be reset but also why care when it gets erased? I've been looking forward to the day we marvel fans can see these stories come to life and we finally do marvel short changes us . Doom and secret wars looks to be setting up a reset of the MCU.
Dr. Doom almost needs his own movie to fully tell his backstory and motivations. Of all the projects coming up and don’t see him appearing too often to gain audience support of who he is.

I'm surprised you didn't add the footnote about the Doctor from the beginning of Wakanda Forever being someone from Doom's nation, and probably being his chief scientist who was out in the ocean looking for their own source of vibranium. It seems like the only concrete connection there is, explicitly, so to speak.

It is important to remember the before the modern origin story of Kang, in the earlier appearances it was implied that Kang was just an older version of Dr Doom, or maybe was either his father or descendant. It wasn't not until after the introduction of Nathanal Richards, Reed's father, that it was revealed that Kang was a Richards and not a Von Doom.
Came in here to say I realized rdj as doctor doom was planned from the get go... At least since the making of endgame. Just was deciding to rewatch endgame and noticed when tony is recording himself talking with his broken mask... I noticed his iron man helmt looks like a variant of what would be a mask or helmet for doctor doom.

I only watched this video after the recent announcement that RDJ is playing Dr. Doom. A lot of people think he'll be a Stark variant, but what if Ryan's right and Dr. Doom has been in the MCU all along? What if he is actually Stark from 616? When watching this video, I heard so much of Doom's origin that's similar to Stark's. Losing his parents, Wanda not using a spell on Stark in AoU because he already spiralled out of control, finding out who killed his parents, seeing government oversight and heroes like Cap fail. It would be an amazing villain arc, right under our noses. The only problem would be his death, but would that be a problem? An easy solution would be an LMD, but that would mean it was a worthless sacrifice. I submit that Wanda brings him back to help find her kids (before MoM), using the Darkhold. But this revival isn't entirely succesful, hence the mask. Also, the dark magic could only return the dark elements of Stark's psyche, effectively desecrating Stark's grave and memory. Wanda could've simply hid him in Latveria or Sokovia, where he rose to power.
Could all be from universe 1610 the mirror universe of 616 where this all happened but he ends up in 616 somehow ( maybe in the events of no way home) making victor still just a variant of Tony but different story and different outcome
Loved this. The hardest part of bringing Doctor Doom to the MCU is nailing how big of a deal the guy is. I think you've got a line on doing that. I also think Doom deserves a solo flick before he's used as a villain. He should never be portrayed as a pure-evil villain. He should be more like an anti-hero, and low key treated with the gravitas of a cosmic entity. As in Doom isn't treated as a big deal in universe by the various MCU characters--instead he's constantly, wildly underestimated and 12 steps ahead. And he should do heroic shit. Latveria in particular--Doom should be shown to be the good guy, the hero for Latveria, no bullshit, no cop-outs, no strings. His relationships with Reed and Stark should come after he's established. And at the big end of whatever they choose to do, the next Endgame moment, Doctor Doom should show up and steal the show, then screw up due to ego, be partially beaten by his own hubris, standard Doom storytelling, Reed at the obvious blame position. But he should be the one to clap a Galactus, or punk out all the Kangs you can gather, or push off the Skrulls--whatever Marvel does = make the heroes all choke and it be Doom who saves the day... and then proceeds to overplay his hand, fuck it all up, get mad, monologue, and finally reveal its not even Doom himself, its a Doombot. Real Victor is after credits, obviously. This fucker's body doubles are the heavy hitters in the MCU. That's the note to end the next Endgame on. This man's Kmart clone can kneel the gods... but he's also completely high on his own farts too. Hello MCU, we've got a Tony Stark-tier dude who is already tainted, already a bit too evil, but just as capable. Running a nation. 2nd Doom solo film should be the journey into hell to save his mom, co-starring Wanda and Strange both, same gist as the comic source, same ending. Then plan long-long term. Doom won't be off the field for the next 10 phases, etch it in stone at MCU HQ. He's not the big bad of it all, he's the asshole you need to beat the big bad of it all. Thanos just got lucky with timing--2 years later and Doom would have handled that shit AND got himself a sweet Infinity Gauntlet.
The biggest failure of post-Endgame MCU was not pushing how chaotic the universe would be before and after everyone blipped back. It perfectly facilitates the need and circumstances of an increase vigilantes. The Defenders (despite preceding Infinity War) should have been set during the 5 years after the Snap.
I do admire the effort you put into these speculations on behalf of Marvel. Of course the biggest question is, will Marvel allow Doom to keep his mask on at all times, or will it be popping on and off as quickly as Spidey’s and Tony’s do?
Kevin Feige needs to call you asap before the next Avengers movies go full on into production. This aged super well. Your theories are always awesome and this should be the story they lead with in doomsday👍
Right. Doom is not just the Big Bad of one Phase or even one Saga. He's multiple Sagas. Doom is the poster villain of Marvel. What Superman is to superheroes, Doom is to supervillains. As Ryan says above: Doom is the GREATEST supervillain.

This is the best theory and story telling by far, amazing video. You almost predicted Robert Downey Jr playing Dr. Doom! Would you do a follow up video addressing his casting and if that affects this theory? Because the only change I can see happening, is that the MCU version of Dr. Doom was originally a Tony Stark variant from another universe that grew up in Latveria and after discovering time travel moved to the main MCU and was working behind the scenes the whole time. So we can get an origin movie of Dr. Doom.

You know what's really interesting, this video came out 11 months ago from January 2025 and currently, the plot for Marvel Rivals is that Dr. Doom and a version of Dr. Doom from 2099 caused a destabilization in the timeline, causing it to begin to collapse. Eerily similar to what you stated in the first 00:20 seconds of the video!
This actually restored my faith in marvel, and that maybe they really have had a plan the whole time. The issue with phase 4 is it felt like they didn’t have a direction to go in but they’ve really just been building other characters while waiting to release secret wars.

Nope it needs to be a series of movies with diff heroes finding there own path then come together like the avengers, THAT is why we fell in love with the MCU, and they could finally have a female hero(except Natasha and bw) to have their own character arc of development instead of a marry sue that can do anything better then anyone else 👌

It is important to remember the before the modern origin story of Kang, in the earlier appearances it was implied that Kang was just an older version of Dr Doom, or maybe was either his father or descendant. It wasn't not until after the introduction of Nathanal Richards, Reed's father, that it was revealed that Kang was a Richards and not a Von Doom.
Came in here to say I realized rdj as doctor doom was planned from the get go... At least since the making of endgame. Just was deciding to rewatch endgame and noticed when tony is recording himself talking with his broken mask... I noticed his iron man helmt looks like a variant of what would be a mask or helmet for doctor doom.

In the original comics, Kang was always thought to be some kind of "Dr. Doom from the future".
I only watched this video after the recent announcement that RDJ is playing Dr. Doom. A lot of people think he'll be a Stark variant, but what if Ryan's right and Dr. Doom has been in the MCU all along? What if he is actually Stark from 616? When watching this video, I heard so much of Doom's origin that's similar to Stark's. Losing his parents, Wanda not using a spell on Stark in AoU because he already spiralled out of control, finding out who killed his parents, seeing government oversight and heroes like Cap fail. It would be an amazing villain arc, right under our noses.
The only problem would be his death, but would that be a problem? An easy solution would be an LMD, but that would mean it was a worthless sacrifice. I submit that Wanda brings him back to help find her kids (before MoM), using the Darkhold. But this revival isn't entirely succesful, hence the mask. Also, the dark magic could only return the dark elements of Stark's psyche, effectively desecrating Stark's grave and memory. Wanda could've simply hid him in Latveria or Sokovia, where he rose to power.
This was an awesome speculative journey of the MCU... I can dig this direction of him being behind the scenes!

Could all be from universe 1610 the mirror universe of 616 where this all happened but he ends up in 616 somehow ( maybe in the events of no way home) making victor still just a variant of Tony but different story and different outcome
Loved this. The hardest part of bringing Doctor Doom to the MCU is nailing how big of a deal the guy is. I think you've got a line on doing that.
I also think Doom deserves a solo flick before he's used as a villain. He should never be portrayed as a pure-evil villain. He should be more like an anti-hero, and low key treated with the gravitas of a cosmic entity. As in Doom isn't treated as a big deal in universe by the various MCU characters--instead he's constantly, wildly underestimated and 12 steps ahead. And he should do heroic shit. Latveria in particular--Doom should be shown to be the good guy, the hero for Latveria, no bullshit, no cop-outs, no strings. His relationships with Reed and Stark should come after he's established. And at the big end of whatever they choose to do, the next Endgame moment, Doctor Doom should show up and steal the show, then screw up due to ego, be partially beaten by his own hubris, standard Doom storytelling, Reed at the obvious blame position. But he should be the one to clap a Galactus, or punk out all the Kangs you can gather, or push off the Skrulls--whatever Marvel does = make the heroes all choke and it be Doom who saves the day... and then proceeds to overplay his hand, fuck it all up, get mad, monologue, and finally reveal its not even Doom himself, its a Doombot. Real Victor is after credits, obviously.
This fucker's body doubles are the heavy hitters in the MCU. That's the note to end the next Endgame on. This man's Kmart clone can kneel the gods... but he's also completely high on his own farts too. Hello MCU, we've got a Tony Stark-tier dude who is already tainted, already a bit too evil, but just as capable. Running a nation. 2nd Doom solo film should be the journey into hell to save his mom, co-starring Wanda and Strange both, same gist as the comic source, same ending.
Then plan long-long term. Doom won't be off the field for the next 10 phases, etch it in stone at MCU HQ. He's not the big bad of it all, he's the asshole you need to beat the big bad of it all. Thanos just got lucky with timing--2 years later and Doom would have handled that shit AND got himself a sweet Infinity Gauntlet.

The biggest failure of post-Endgame MCU was not pushing how chaotic the universe would be before and after everyone blipped back.
It perfectly facilitates the need and circumstances of an increase vigilantes. The Defenders (despite preceding Infinity War) should have been set during the 5 years after the Snap.

This is the best theory and story telling by far, amazing video. You almost predicted Robert Downey Jr playing Dr. Doom! Would you do a follow up video addressing his casting and if that affects this theory? Because the only change I can see happening, is that the MCU version of Dr. Doom was originally a Tony Stark variant from another universe that grew up in Latveria and after discovering time travel moved to the main MCU and was working behind the scenes the whole time. So we can get an origin movie of Dr. Doom.
This would've been amazing. I know they're going the alternate timeline route, but it would be great if they used some of these ideas for his own timeline

His own power is substantial enough to pose a threat to anyone who might try to challenge or attack him, regardless of their level of power. You know what's really interesting, this video came out 11 months ago from January 2025 and currently, the plot for Marvel Rivals is that Dr. Doom and a version of Dr. Doom from 2099 caused a destabilization in the timeline, causing it to begin to collapse.
Eerily similar to what you stated in the first 00:20 seconds of the video!

This actually restored my faith in marvel, and that maybe they really have had a plan the whole time. The issue with phase 4 is it felt like they didn’t have a direction to go in but they’ve really just been building other characters while waiting to release secret wars.
