We all know that a 10-20 minutes was scraped from this showcase due to the loss of their "star" game, Concord.
Just a reminder Sony spent $400 million on Concord instead of doing something as simple as remastering Bloodborne and porting it to PC for guaranteed profit.
Seriously, with Elden Ring propelling soulsbourne games to mainstream popularity there would be a ton of sales from those interested in playing another souls game alone.
As a recent adopter of the souls series having played through DS1/3 before ER (and attempted 2 and then rage quit...) then completing DS2 after beating the everling shit out of the DLC (final boss down over 100 times/helped hosts... pre nerf)
I would be one of those target demographic. Also bring Demonsouls to PC GDI!

The dual wielding makes me hope that the character acknowledges a strength deficiency and is making up for it with a more dexterity and speed based combat style than what we saw with Jin. Something tells me she won't be a gorilla. Obviously she'll be tearing through normal enemies like wet cardboard but that's just because it's fun. I'd rather the combat not be too realistic
You can't tell the quality or feel of a VR game from flatscreen footage. Especially if your exposure to VR gaming is very limited or non existent.
TBH you don't really need HQ graphics for VR games, the way VR effects your perception of things despite even the cartoonish of looking games or low poly models can be incredibly immersive.
Like when the original NES came out, the next best thing to compare was what? the atari? sure VR sort of competes with first person type graphics, but they are not exactly 1:1 the same due to the difference in experience.
And how do the chatters expect VR to grow if they just leave it dormant… we need more games like Alyx. But even then they would still hate and hate lol

Soul Reaver was goated, probably doesnt hold up anymore but sure loved it.
Never played in the past, might pick it up but ngl not really a huge improvement for "remastered" looks like a bit of smoothing and model upscaling, and not much else.
Loved it. Knew it was Soul Reaver right away. Good memories BUT should remain in the past. Very dated.

If Sony strongly defends Palworld, all will be forgiven. The $700 pro console is a pricing issue. Nintendo is suing about patents which could possibly destroy innovation for an entire generation if they win.
Also, I’m saying this as someone with a Pokémon Home subscription, most of the mainline games, and never having played Palworld. I don’t think it would be good for The Pokémon Company or Nintendo to shut down Palworld. The potential competition is the only thing that might really improve the next Pokémon game.

Honestly even if they tried to pass off the "totally real samurai gaiz" shit with yasuke, I wouldn't have minded THAT much, IF he was just a side character like in past games where actual real historical figures were part of the story.
No game before Shadows however has had an actual "real historical" figure as the playable character, that is to say all past games characters were totally fictional, why was it different this time? shield, token shield. that's why.

@@svenstevenson2245 I think it's probably because I grew up playing this series with my buds, many have passed away sadly so it's just a feelgood series I like to play. Always finding things I missed and remembering the good times I had with my brothers.
Still, I don't blame people for falling off the Borderlands bandwagon. A lot changed in Borderlands 3 and not all of it was perfect, but sometimes we just have to take it as it comes and hope the future has something better in store for us.

Beyond Galaxyland launched today and the devs put it on sale for only 12 bucks!! A pretty fun game so far and loving the art style!

@svenstevenson2245 pretty sure someone got it working a month or 2 ago. There's still some bugs and stuff to work out but they've been making stupid fast progress with it. I wouldn't be surprised if it's ready by the end of the year.

I did, honestly it was fairly good, I did not grab the expansion, they also chubbified the MC for the sequel forbidden west so I also skipped that one too.
I somewhat enjoyed Zero Dawn in how it only told ya fragments of the story at one time as you explored and eventually you got enough fragments to start making a picture of what went down, eventually towards the very end you get the full timeline/tale but it feeds you the back story in small tidbits up till that point.
Also combat was interesting with the robot creatures and was some interesting things going in terms of weapon types and craftables...
A solid experince IMO but sony has long since lost my favor for a myriad of reasons and so I never checked out the rest of the series. And yes it does feel forced how they are trying to shove it everwhere.

I beat and platinumed both. Good games but yeh a remaster already is dumb if at all
Platniumed the first one and I was solid. Game play was fun and the way they pieced the story together made me want to keep going. The data slates with people's personal stories of the apocalypse where really well done. But there's no way I'm buying a remaster.

Mind you, I usually wait 2-4 weeks to get into a game now a days anyways, partly due to bugs, partly to wait for REAL reviews, partly to see if we get any late release patches that might introduce some shit tier mtx or other such nonsense.
That is to say, sick of the rug pulls, also day 1 buggy releases, so I wait for potential patches and people who aren't access journalists to give candid opinions.
Dragon Age: Bobbleheads would have been better off just announcing the release and not showing anything about the game before release than showing this stuff to us.

Lunar 1&2 is a pretty big deal for us old JRPG fans. Fantasian as well, from the father of Final Fantasy. Legacy of Kain also gets a remaster. Those PS1 games are over 25 years old, it's great to see they weren't forgotten.
