Thanks man. Respect. I'm halfway through right now and I appreciate your words and judgements.
Stay strong brother, fuk the haters.
Long-term viewer, and have been following this whole drama from the start. I've got mad respect for you Theory, keep strong mate!
And thank you Asmon for covering this as well!
"Those who use the dark side are also bound to serve it. To understand this is to understand the underlying philosophy of the Sith."
Thank you for representing the community that still cares about good story telling, and art.
They just keep making you more popular. Love the channel man 👍
Keep doing you Theory. You're number 1 because you keep it real much like Amond here. Stay strong 💪
97% vs 3% . Not a war at all.
it is when the 3% control all of media and games though
An easy dub
Its not 3%. It's 3% in USA. Don't forget about the rest of the world =) So it's probably 0.03% vs 99,97%
97% vs 0.00000000001%. Not a war at all.
The pompous elite vs everyone else.
Paul went full mask off during the sbi detected fiasco.
People who are saying, "Oh paul is such a nice person! I can't imagine him doing that!!", just haven't been paying attention.
Paul has been doing this since the original gamergate. He was THE voice that they used to propagate the message that gamergate was purely a sexist, racist hate campaign. He used the exact same tactics back then, which allowed him to be passed off as unbiased despite having a direct involvement. He wasn't the loudest voice, he wasn't the most eloquent voice, he just appeared to be the most unbiased bc he didn't reduce his position attacking or defending a specific individual. So when even local tv stations began to propagate his message, Forbes decided their fledgling pop culture/gaming section needed him. Which instantly gave more validation to his bullshit claims than the rest of the industry bc, at the time, Forbes only dealt in hard facts and not opinions.
funny, cause asmon literally said in this video “yeah, i like Paul”
@j4m3sii Asmon can't completely escape the normie mindset. Paul would absolutely call him every name imaginable if he saw it as advantageous
@@j4m3siiHe said he likes Paul because he said stuff about Diablo 4 that he agreed with. He says that after just hearing him blatantly lie, shill and go after people because they don't like what he demands them to like.

@@Ewil.Bluetoothyou're absolutely right. The amount of glazing he did for Paul made my knees go weak 😂😂😂

The only thing more boring than Disney Star Wars is TH-cam Disney Star Wars react content, and to be clear I’m not taking any sides here
Boyega was the best part. We were pissed because they back-seated his character even though he had the most interesting storyline.
Finn was 100% wasted potential to the max. Pretty shitty thing to do to a good actor that actually liked Star Wars. Even IF they still kept the mislead of him being a Jedi, had they just DONE something with him that mattered it would already be 50% better.
Don't forget they sized John Boyega down for the movie posters in China. Disney is racist as long as it fills their wallet.
They did Boyega dirty. Took what could have been a deep and serious arc (an ex-Imperial coming to terms with what he did, like Mayfield), and made him Comic Relief Black Friend.
A stormtrooper turning Jedi would have been epic.
Cause Disney bows down to their racist foreign overlords
Paul Tassi is literally banned from having his articles used as sources on Wikipedia. There's very few individual journalists that happens to
Lol, imagine that
holy shit
That says something...
How? What kind of codswallop mumbo jumbo has he written? That's so fucking insane lmao I need more context.
@@maxelsstellh7687 i think there's a blanket ban on all Forbes contributors. I was editing a gaming related wikipedia article and using one of Paul's articles as a source, and I got a message from someone (not a bot, this was a hand typed message) telling me that it was basically going to get removed as a source, and a few days later it was. It was worded in a way that makes it seem like people really don't like him on there, because on that part of Wikipedia Paul is really the only Forbes writer that's going to pop up. And it's mind blowing, the article cited was as factual as could be, just literal numbers on a game, but they still removed it
People defending disney is the most dystopian thing ive seen in a while
I'm seen as an annoying buzzkill by my parents because I call out all the problems I see when they watch one of the shows when I'm around. They have the "it's just a story, who cares" mentality.
People who don't care don't see the problems of Disney Star Wars and see the pissed off fans as crybabies attacking perfectly fine movies and shows.
@@dearcastiel4667 I don't call it out anymore, I just don't watch. I get tired of "wait....that makes no sense" or "they wouldn't do that that is opposite to who they are, have been, and are in later episodes", or "how did you know the exact location?". It just gets tiring....

He likes all Star Wars movie. 100% acolyte is trash.
@@freetoplayaccount3487it’s sad that these people will die on the acolyte shill hill, I tried to give the show a shot and oh my it’s bad. The pacing, acting, writing, and disrespecting the overall story it’s just a bland gloopy show 180 million dollars for that such a waste.
I’m not a fan of gate keeping but if letting the gates open gives us stuff Disney Star Wars like this maybe it’s time close them a lil bit
The main reason SWT is being a bit melodramatic is that he stayed silent for a really, really long time. This has been ongoing for years now and he's always, always been the bigger guy. He was one of the last major SW content creators to admit to the elephant in the room. He tried to be onboard with the Disney stuff, and it got to a point in which he couldn't be remotely optimistic about it anymore and stopped trying to see the glass half full.
Prior to that, and all the way till now, he's been under attack for ages. He's come off melodramatic because it's not just one or a few articles. Shill channels like SWE, Paul Tassi, etc have been trying to ruin this guy's life for years. SWT is still one of the most positive, but intellectually honest people in Star Wars.
Constant death threats makes it understandable why he is being this way
This ^ There’s a breaking point
@@willwolf8436 Everyone gets constant death threats. SWT, Tassi, Asmongold, etc. If Tassi, SWT, etc are responsible for death threats levied by psychos at people, then no one is allowed to express opinions.
That's just how the Internet is. There's no way to address that without extremely orwellian control over individuals' lives.
@@willwolf8436it’s not that simple, they’ve been blaming him and holding him accountable for death threats and harassment but whenever these shill creators are shown that their own side of the conversation have been threatening him they block everyone and completely ignore it.
Kyle Katarn literally claimed not a single person in his community would or could ever do this kind of stuff.
They’ve fully leaned into labelling him as any ist or ism they can think of to justify the threats and harassment he gets.
What management company does this Paul Tassi have, I wonder
The reason Paul defends Disney is simple. Paul is a corporate journalist. Corporate journalists defend the idea that the entirety of any entertainment IP, including fans, can be bought and sold like a commodity, and whoever owns it decides and dictates everything about it. Everything it does is canon. When fans go against this model, it threatens the very foundation of the corporate world.
I have not watched the Acolyte
I will never watch the Acolyte

You should at least watch episode 5 or a clip of it on TH-cam. Best lightsaber battle choreography we've had since the prequels and I worry we won't get something like it again if the stink of the show's cancellation rubs off on everyone that was involved with it.

It's about destroying Western Civilization. They fucking tell you that's what it's about on a god damn daily basis.
It's so crazy. It's like they want us to totally disengage with all their products.
Basic BlackRock ESG/DEI stuff.
normally I'd agree but they are spending record breaking budgets on these piece of shit products, unfortunate silencing critics doesnt scratch something like a $400m concord budget or $200m for the snow white movie(which is also likely closer to 400m with marketing included)
The hate campaign against WuKong did not work. If the Acolyte was any good, it will not be cancelled.
there was no hate campaign against wukong, turns out its a mid game as per usual that people enjoy
The people that came after our channels were the ones that have been shilling for disney since the very beginning and you can even see them meeting up with the acolyte cast and Harvey Weinsteins personal assistant at Lucasfilm in order to promote their sh*t series. Ironically they are the ones that fell to the dark side and are defending a media empire worth billions against the "evil" opinions of fans who gave thousands of dollars in support of the franchise they love, not to mention decades as have I. I love how every time they try to cancel us all it backfires XD
Incredibly evil people against all of us 🤮
I think the deciding factor is trust in the system. The corpo/gov system rewards these people for their loyalty and they become more entrenched their in belief in it as a result. It's a vicious cycle any of us could fall to.
schizo post
crazy that u were popular around the release of force awakens but i guess releasing worse versions of the same content every other star wars guy does has its down sides! woke didnt kill ur channel bud u did
Sad part is Star Trek fans have dealt with similar issues. They’ve gone through so many ups and downs with all the series released. We’ll probably go through absolute dog crap with Disney for the near future until competent people get in charge and want to make something actually great, rather than content that has checked all the boxes on a corporate list
The thing about SWT is that the guy was never into the culture war stuff. He just wants good SW content. But like many of us, he was pulled into the culture war by having an opinion that 'woke' culture warriors disliked. He refused to shill for Disney and remain quiet about what he genuinely dislikes about his favorite franchise.

No matter what fandom you're in, I think we can all agree that modern discourse in entertainment is a huge issue across the board. I'm into Star Wars the most, but almost every large brand is the same--it's "toxic" to dislike the junk that is being put out to the consumers. I'm glad you reacted to this, it's pretty much the epitome of the issue with modern discourse.
It's not really a civil war, it's more like 90% of the fandom united against 10%
More like the 1% acting like they're oppressed, but I agree.

Asmon is tuning in to this drama right in the middle of season 3 episode 5. This is going to be one hell of a video
It’s like starting the bloodline story after Roman lost the title
He should have watched the one where he exposes SWE for having nightmares and waking up in a cold sweat about Theory’s TH-cam growth 😂
He really should have watched the previous videos about this whole thing. He missed SO MUCH context it's ridiculous.
There has BEEN a civil war in the fandom since Disney took over Star Wars, shit canned the old expanded universe, stole and mined aspects from it they liked, then gaslight us for hating their crappy movies.
The only good things to come out of Disney Star Wars were Rogue One, seasons 1 and 2 of the Mandalorian, and Andor.
Step 1: Gaslight
Step 2: Play the Victim Card
Step 3: $$$
Which one
More like minus $$$. The more failures they have and more money they lose, the quicker these people will fade away.
Step 3: Lose $$$
minus/lose $$$? i don't know. as stated in this video, i think it works since its easy just to read the title and move on to do other things like tweeting about it like its true on twitter/X/reddit/gamefaqs etc.
that's why they're re-doing it over and over again since 2017.
Step 1+3 is Crypto scams
Step 2+3 is Dr Disrespect
Step 1+2 is DEI cultists/activists

Because criticizing your target audience and calling them wrong for not liking your product is a such a proven business strategy.
Once Agatha all along fails, they are gonna call everyone homophobic for not watching it.
They think their cause is above business and that's why they think it's wrong to even doubt what they do.
But the reality is that they have no idea how worthless their cause is for a multibillion company and they get mad when companies would not get behind them and give them unlimited money.
They never heard the word "No" in their entire spoiled life from childhood.
They can't convince people to like their product on merit so they try to shame them instead. Seems like the vast majority isn't listening, however, which is good.
I find it odd how Asmon even gave Tassi the benefit of the doubt at the start -- Tassi's entire career has been this kinda slop "journalism" (activism in disguise)
I'm not even a Star Wars fan, but what they did to that franchise is horrible. I feel really bad for them.
Thank you this first postive comment I've ever heard from a non-Star Wars fan
Yeah, but what about Andor? That series shows you the writers aren't qualified and that's all that disney has done wrong. And it might just be a dry spell of writers. The idea that they think its racism that caused the show to flunk is so funny. As if we dont have black characters that are beloved like Lando and Windu. What a bunch of clowns
But Lando and Mace aren't lame gay chicks
Lmfao it’s absolutely hilarious that they claim racism in an IP that includes countless alien species as well as every person’s race from our planet
It wasn't racism, probably the lack of masculinity or relatable things for guys who are the biggest audience is why it failed. No one cares about the direction of the show.
It was a nerdy guy thing right

Thought Disney said all fans are toxic
@@nicknevco215 Well, fandom in itself is wholly an emotional response. Fan was literally shorted down from fanatic. So you're starting in a situation where the audience has a deep, irrational love for the subject. When you don't respect that audience, or the thing they love, toxicity is the only valid response. Like I don't hate anyone for liking The Acolyte, but if your reason for liking it is inherently racist, that I take an issue with.
Paul Tassi say no more, is he still trying to figure out why concord failed ?
"I wonder why so many star wars fans are seemingly coming out of nowhere to hate on this"
well maybe because that "toxic side of the community" is 97% of the Star Wars community with 2% being Neutral and 1% liking Disney, and as a matter of fact that 97% is still pretty tolerant because "the worst of us" simply aren't star wars fans anymore, *they left* like you can go find them they are in the Warhammer universe now fighting for the Emperor. Especially all of the ones that liked the Empire, and hated the Rebels show for even existing.
Most of the current 97% at least tolerates Rebels, and understands that generally speaking Filoni is a good writer even if he does things you might not fully agree with or portrays the empire wrong or whatever the good parts of the show outweigh the bad parts to us. Like the people actually most hellbent on it being accurate you know the people who will say "the empire were actually the good guys" the moment you bring up star wars, yeah those guys? They are Space Marines now, they moved on.
Asmon trying to give critical opinions towards Theory with 15% of the context might be worse than him saying "Palworld" under any context.

There are three types of Star Wars fans.
Those who initially accepted Disney's productions, but eventually gave up on them
Those who never accepted Disney's productions and continued to enjoy the old media of the expanded universe
Those who will consume anything no matter what label it has. Star Wars is creatively dead and that's fine.

TFA was really bad
Battlefront I and II were insulting
TLJ was worse
Mando was mediocre to outright bad
TRoS is one of the worst movies ever made
Were there some books or something that I missed?
I guess I'm in the first category. I gave the new trilogy a chance but gave up after.
Yo dude, didn't you see ObI Wan and Maul's last fight, the Ashoka vs Anakin fight x2, or even the old Kenobi fight versus Vader in that amazing tv show? The franchise died a long time ago and has been surviving on "omg imagine if this happened" nostalgia for at least a decade.
There is at least one more:
Those who hate Disneywars AND recognized the EU as the total garbage it is.
There was no reason why episode 7 had to be as bad as it was. But there was a complete lack of any real vision or creativity. There was a complete failure to understand the forms that hold up the IP. Episode 7 needed to be small in scale. Instead no one had a vision so they tried to remake episode 4 but make everything BIGGERER. Instead of clairvoyance, spirituality and minor telekinesis now the Force is unrecognizable from the types of superpowers in superhero comic books. Instead of a ship that can blowup a planet you now have a ship that can blowup five planets. Instead of a slow hero's journey you have a Mary Sue getting hit on by an ugly guy within the first five minutes of the film.
And so on and so forth. And the plot has no cohesion. The plot doesn't flow naturally. Instead it jumps from location to location without any real connection.
SWT is literally the guy that has been bullied and taken it silently for a long time. He just has real opinions and doesn't shill for Disney to get early access.

What I hate the most about them saying that they're encouraging their fans to do this are these 2 facts. One, these people are not telling their fans to do anything.
