There are a few comments here about Tim being “full of himself”. I want to offer my opinion of Tim. He and his wife, Susan, took care of my friend Nelson Crozier during his battle with cancer. The compassion and companionship that they provided to Nelson, proves what kind of person he truly is. Tim is much more than a “winner” in my book.
I want you guys to know something because of the old drivers you’ll cruise CREWS you know NASCAR isn’t what it was 30 years ago or 40 years ago thank you Tim Brewer, Dale Junior, Dale Senior Jimmy Johnson, Rick Kendrick, Richard Childress, life isn’t your family. It’s all about racing This day and age from the 1990s 2000 2001s rough and tumble people behind the scenes, listening to what you guys say and do winning races winning races, cheating a certain way, but overall it wasn’t about cheating. It was about what making things work and sometimes stuff that did not work. You know I listen to your stories at night in the mornings. I’m always listening even when I’m sleeping, they download downloads podcast everything looking back on all the new history and some people had you know they had a seventh grade and that’s it seventh grade 8th grade 9th grade 10th grade then never graduated high school Coming up in the early 70s was really rough on Dale Jimmy Johnson, David Pearson oh yeah Alzheimer’s legends, the legends live on your outer that I met you as a person and all the money that you made and all this, it’s your talent everybody doesn’t have talent like you guys did He had NASCAR talent you guys winning races winning championships is what it is right down right down to the science of maybe a half inch to three-quarter of an inch listening to what you guys say on there and it comes from the heart I listen to all special drivers special teams Until you say oh it’s a matter of inches or matter of centimeters quarter inches oh yeah, I’ve heard people cheat. I’ve heard people not cheat get away with whatever but it’s OK. You know you lose your grandmother and then your son was being born couple years later sometimes family Around racing families. Hard to be about around. I look back on a lot of life. Life isn’t easy anymore. I’m not married. Don’t smoke don’t drink. I don’t drive a race car, but I’m a person that went through the struggles when my father died from cancer at the age of 49 life isn’t what it’s all cracked up to be cancer. Does a lot of damage to people. It’s all shocking from people smart from NASCAR family showing families how to do that looking back on memories, we can never have deal in heart ever again. He died in 2001 you can’t go to his house go to Google maps you can think you’re going there, but I bet you the son of Dale Earnhardt Your children. It’s a major milestone looking back on all the two time championship Xfinity you could’ve been a champion in 2003 if Matt Kenton didn’t win maybe just like your dad just winning a championship when he was in his rookie year but it’s about the resilience of NASCAR especially it’s also aboutdone before all the stages in the soft walls and all that other weird we would stop and Riverside California timber thanks for the memories timber Tim Brewer, old school, new school and Jimmer Jimmy Johnson school
THIS IS ONE OF THE ONES I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR!!! Thank you for adding the characters and all from the 70`s and 80`s!!! JUST AWESOME! Man I so APPRECIATE all that yall provide!!!!!!! Been knowing and following Tim Brewer since I met him while he was working with Tiny Lund!
I was the same way, I knew this would be a good one!! Can you imagine Tim and DW together?? Hell, makes me tired just thinking about it!! Great show, Jr!!
Even when he badmouths legends. That's his opinion. Not fact. Definitely doesn't know how to take the high road if he's even right. There's being honest, and then there's being a jerk.
I never was fond of Brewer. I always thought of him as one of the most arrogant and sneaky characters in NASCAR. Everytime someone interviewed him, I just knew he was cheating on something. He always came across like a cat in a bird's nest. Watching this I realize that he and others made the sport what it is today and I miss every minute of it. People like him added character to racing that is seriously lacking today. It's like everyone is a robot now. We never get to see the raw talent these people have any longer, even if it was bending/breaking the rules. Thanks Dale for having him on your show.
This was a guy I've been waiting on since you started because as a young man from Wilkes county and was a neighbor of Jr Johnson and I used to sweep the the shop and prep tires as a young man but I remember Tim for years and he's a very smart man!
My dad owned a mechanic shop (old used car lot) next to Junior’s shop off Old 421. I learned to drive in that big parking lot and they never said a word to me. Yadkin County baby!
Tim Brewer and his stories is one of the best podcast to date. Now I want Jr and his new tv deal to have a next Gen cut away car segment with Tim Brewer.
This episode is one of my top favorites! I listen to the show every week while driving a truck for work and feel like I’m in the studio live with ya’ll. I could sit and listen to an entire in depth series just with Tim Brewer! Love this show, keep em coming!
Oh my gosh, that much titanium would have cost a fortune. I know a thing or two about that. This is full of so much real honesty, and feelings. Tim needs to be in the Hall of Fame.
Some people say Brewer is full of himself. I say he talks the talk and he walked the walk. Great NASCAR legend, and Hall of Famer. I always enjoy hearing Brewer tell stories from the old days. Thank you for sharing.
He also talks chit about people he worked with at this point in his life. Why? He recently called Junior Johnson a fatass and negatively mimicked him. Dude was a shop cancer and Jack ass.
I finally finished this interview. It was everything I wanted! I wished that Him and Dale Sr could have worked together but I don’t know how he would have been with the “innovations” lol. Tim Brewer for the nascar hall of fame!
Brewer’s one of the best at storytelling and making you feel like you’re there watching the story unfold. You should do Jeff Hammond next lol everything can come full circle.
He has so much information, so many stories that is hard to narrow down to one thing. One question leads to a story about someone involved in a different story, etc.. I love it! I really wish he would tell more about Junior. He was a dirty bastard, in my opinion!
the passion coming from his stories. that was a good one as a fan that was born in the early 90s and didn't get to live through the great nascar times. I love the podcast like this i feel like i have been there listen to these guys. love it!
Oh, I wanted to mention, I never knew Tim Brewer was an immense Alabama fan and that's even more awesome in light of how Tim one way or the other always bucked conventional authority or at the very least stayed truly as he said himself to what he thought was right. Davey Allison's still my all time favorite driver and hearing Tim mention great memories with Larry Mac's very great, nonetheless. Oh and it was great to see you in the Xfinity series race last night at Bristol, Dale. The awesome battles you had with Ryan Truex as with everyone last night. It was a vow to the old style of racing. Cleanly, but to the very limit.
Glad Dale Jr. finally got Brewer on. Was hoping it would happen soon. Had some good stories and gave a good interview on Scene in particular about the '91 Charlotte suspension and '92 title run. That being said, Brewer always did like him some Brewer...
Thank you so much for having Tim be a guest on the show, Junior. Tim seems like he'd be one of the very coolest guys to drink with anyway. Teach you insights you didn't think were possible. Almost in the way of a comedian's, lol. It's always great to listen to him retell so many of those watershed events he experienced at Junior Johnson as with Blue Max along with every team. So cool, he got to collab with Tim Richmond of all people.

Tim Brewer is always a must watch interview! People like this is what NASCAR is missing so badly these days. Repainted it and took it back. Passed the test. Bobby kinser took it out in the track it was so much faster than anything else out there. He got busted . They threw him out of USAC. One of the greatest minds in racing. He had success with so many great racing talents. I have a bunch of questions just from his time at Junior Johnson's.
I was wondering why you never got Tim on one of the Greats when it came to being a crew chief. Have enjoyed this whole season Soo far love the channel as always
Feelings between Tim Brewer and Junior Johnson. They all had their moments. I know you’d like to change Tim’s feelings, but never know what was not said and feelings at the time. Best I can tell you for his feelings like the song says let it be. Just let it be.
@WhiteTrashMotorsports Until he badmouths people he didn't get along with 40 years ago. Let it go, jerk. He's called 90+ year old Junior Johnson (didn't Junior give him a chance at a championship) a fatass and made fun of his speech, for example. Dude's a deushbag.

Thank you Dale!! As always.
One of the greatest minds in racing. He had success with so many great racing talents. I have a bunch of questions just from his time at Junior Johnson's.
I was wondering why you never got Tim on one of the Greats when it came to being a crew chief. Have enjoyed this whole season Soo far love the channel as always
I remember how Sterlings car sounded at Daytona because of that exhaust system Brewer mentions(57:52)... Wow
The famous ‘X’ pipe exhaust on the Morgan McLure Chevy. Lower back pressure and a few more HP.
I’m so glad you guys finally got Brewer on there! He should have a weekly segment on dirty mo!
Feelings between Tim Brewer and Junior Johnson. They all had their moments. I know you’d like to change Tim’s feelings, but never know what was not said and feelings at the time. Best I can tell you for his feelings like the song says let it be. Just let it be.
Tim Brewer is great. And Tim Brewer loves to tell you how great Tim Brewer is and was. He is a 3rd Person Genius.
Brewer is a LEGEND
I was at the Walmart today and the checkout girl told me Tim Brewer is great. Man gets around.
The man has a record to back it up I don't see a problem.
@joshaltman143 Brewer & his Brother Glen Legends
Thank you Thank you. I have been begging for this one for a long time. Now let's get Brewer in the HOF
Good interview. Great
This one had The Goods. Lots to learn, understand and appreciate. He ain't follow the crowd.
How is Tim Brewer not in the NASCAR hall of fame?
Politics. Just like the rock n roll Hall of Fame is complete bogus shite, so is NASCAR's HOF.

One of the better guest. What a surprise. Loved the true honesty about the highs and lows of his career
Saw this and it felt like Christmas Morning. Been waiting and waiting on Jr to have Tim Brewer on the download!
Me too!

Woow wonderful Dirty Mo Podcast & awesome interview with NASCAR HOF Tim Brewer.
Instant Classic! Brewer is a bad ass.
