      @geogmz8277 15 amp max so perfect for the average person trying to power thier home. MOST homes don't consume more than 3kwh per hour. So technically this is easily achieved with 2 separate delta pros and 1600 watts of solar . :)

    • @superspeeder
      @superspeeder ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@jaysonstebbins2539 assuming you mean 1600W per unit (3200W total) this highlights the drawbacks of having limited solar input. If a home is consuming the majority of your solar input there’s little left to charge the batteries with. Since the sun is scarce in many places you’d be hard pressed to consistently charge the two batteries day after day on available sunlight while powering your home.
      Even dedicated battery banks with far more storage and solar charging capacity can have trouble being a home’s primary power source. Two Pros and 3200W of solar would be good for emergency use only.
      If the next generation Pro has some serious solar input, say double at 3200W for each unit, only then would you be able to power your home AND charge your batteries. The new Delta 2 Max has dual solar inputs, so maybe the next Pro will do the same and hopefully with a much higher input cap.

      @superspeeder I agree with that. Yes solar can be a issue in most places but on a day like today with full cloud coverage which is the first in 2 weeks I'm still getting 300-600 watts to my single DP from a 1200 watt array. I'm still getting 25-50% output. Everyone thinks that if the sun isn't visible them there's no solar. Module efficiency like my renogy and hqst's still get good output in low light conditions. I would love to see dual mppts on the Delta pro "2" with 1600 watts each. With my delta max 2k I was able to keep my house warm (with full sun) using my 12kbtu portable ac heatpump using a 800 watt array during the day. Ecoflow is geared to supplement and be used in emergencies safely. I think they have unlocked full potential to make full sustainment for full time use of solsr generators for taking a home "off grid" or or almost 100% self sufficient. I have a 1600 sq ft house here in Tennessee and can and have been able to use my single DP through a blackout and use daily to knock my 12-20kwh daily usage down to 0-5kwh usage. My last electric bill was $75 vs my $120. No it doesn't pay for itself like any battery storage system does but it's fun and great backup. 👍 these are facts of my own experience and situations and may not fit all situations.

    • @superspeeder

      @@jaysonstebbins2539 agreed. EF and products like theirs have opened up some really exciting options. I have the Delta Max 2k as well and really like it. I haven’t had the same cloudy day results as you, barely getting 2-300W on overcast days from my 1320W array, but I do have tall obstructions on either side of my panels which could limit their ability to gather scattered light on cloudy days. On sunny days I have clear sun between 12:00-15:00.
      Fingers crossed the DP2 has some serious solar input. If it does I could be tempted into an upgrade!

    This looks like a great system that Iooks like it would very nearly suit my needs. My question is , are there any plans to link the inverter to a power clamp device (similar to a smart power meter) to more intelligently monitor the whole house usage? The smart plugs are useful but a bit limiting, you can’t cover usage of the lighting circuit for instance. An add on like this would make it a fantastic system.

      Currently it's not approved in the UK, doesn't meet electrical regs, doesn't have type approval & has based it's release on a misunderstanding of EU laws which it thought applied in the UK & also that the UK allows people to connect sub 800W generators to a house circuit, which it doesn't (we did have a trial scheme that finished in 2022 & they would have had to apply in 2017), it also sits on the wrong side of circuit protection, no transfer switch & no warning stickers provided to warn electrician

    Hello and thank you for this video. I have some questions
    The PowerStream is powered by what: by solar panels or by the electrical network? If it is by panels, how much power does it use?
    We can buy the Powerstream separately : Good ! Does it means that we can connect any solar panels brands on it within the limit of the 800 W?
    And about the battery: can we connect another brand than Ecoflow to the PowerStream?
    Thank you

      Hi, both can work and the maximum is 800W. You can connect other brands' solar panels, just pay attention to the specs of PowerStream which is 55V 13A. However, you can not connect it to other brands' portable power stations I am afraid. Let me know if this answers your questions!

      The PowerStream uses 16W so the first 16W the panels bring in are to power it if it’s not connect to a battery and anything over and above that goes into your home circuit. If it is battery connected then it will draw those 16W from there and 100% of the solar will go wherever you have specified as your priority.
      Edit: Also, the 55V is times 2 so 110V input as it has two independent 55V solar connectors, so 2 x 400W panels.

    Hello , Nice video my question... I have an existing solar installation of 10KW , and I would like to install the EcoFlow PowerStream and a micro inverter of 800 watts. However, I want to charge the PowerStream via AC and not through solar panels because those are already installed. So, I would like to charge the PowerStream using AC when there is sufficient solar output (detect this with smartplug) and use it in the evening via the micro inverter (800 watts) to reduce my standby consumption. Is this possible?

    Hello! Thank you for the video! Is it possible to have additional panels connected to the DC charging input of a Delta 2 Max, so that the battery gets charged from the PowerStream and the DC input at the same time? I have 4 solar panes in total (2 325Wp, and 2 400Wp), and it would be great if I could integrate all into this "eco system" - another option would be to have two powerstreams connected to one Delta 2 Max battery... would this be possible?

    • @Ayouska
      @Ayouska 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The microinverter has an internal protection, it cannot feed power to the grid from the solar system if it doesn’t detect the grid. So in case of a power fail in the neighbourhood for example or during a maintenance, the microinverter automatically cuts the power. In Morocco the standard requires such an integrated protection, else it should be installed after the microinverter. This ensures people are not liable in case of any hazardous event. I hope this helps.
