    i have a quick question can i just connect solar panels to my delat and at the same time use the AC output . does this affect the life span of the battery or it is ok ????

    How much do you save in a day? Please help with my theoretical calculation... Im calculating on like 800w solar * 5 hours max sun=4kw multiply by R3.50(cost per kw)= R14 .

      That is quite spot on. On a full sun day now in Autumn, it generates 3.5-4Kw. My curve is perfect and it saves around R12-R14. Not much but since I have used this it has saved over R500. Been about four weeks.

      @@GLITCHEDZA I have a Delta 2 connected to a 400w chinese panel. I think I will purchase this and add another 400w panel. Great to know you can save money...I know friends that spent R100k+ on hybrid solar systems and they not really saving on their electricity bill (system not set up properly I think) and this little powerstream device can cover the cost of the entire set up over a few years. Great product from Ecoflow.

    How many of these powerstreams can you use in your home?

    • @GLITCHEDZA
      @GLITCHEDZA  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I am not entirely sure. I worry that putting the power into your home grid from multiple areas with multiple PowerStreams might cause issues. But let me reach out to EcoFlow to ask them and let you know.

      Got this feedback from EcoFlow - I double-checked with the R&D team and we DO NOT recommend installing multiple PowerStream inverters in a household.
      Having multiple inverters installed may cause overloading and eventually damage the home grid.
      Hope this helps!

      This is really cool. I have a small 3KVA inverter and a 2.5kw LifePO4. The system works well but it doesn’t power the whole house. Can I use the power stream and a delta to only power 2 rooms which are not being supplied by my current setup?

    Does the kit come with European plugs? Did you have to replace any of the cables?

      It should come with the plugs for your region. Here in SA they provided a three-prong. I didn’t have to replace anything.

    Great for renters but the price is not so great 😅.

      It’s been available since March. Quite a niche product at the moment but I suspect it will grow in popularity as more people discover it. It’s great for small homes/apartments.

      I'm about to buy one, existing 4 panel setup, will report back in a few days.

      Had them in Europe for some time. I hope they've changed the design for South Africa because they have no fan in the units here and they easily overheat unless carefully placed in cooler shadier spots. Also depend on a magic MQTT server in China so you need internet to fiddle with them or for automation to run

      @@etchedpixelsUsing them in Europe too. Can actually keep them cool enough if you have a small usb fan blowing on it throughout the day

    One question - can you plug AC out to the wall socket while having DELTA in the other room plugged into the wall socket as well (consider them running on the same phase). All setups looks like having Delta directly connected to the PowerStream output, but what if not?

    • @GLITCHEDZA
      @GLITCHEDZA  หลายเดือนก่อน

      You could do that but you can't tell the PowerStream where to send the solar power to. So it will technically go to the Delta if it is the only thing drawing power on that phase. But if you have a fridge and other stuff on the phase, it will just contribute to all the energy use.

    • @atomiceugene
      @atomiceugene หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@GLITCHEDZA M-m, that's fine, so basically I could connect fridge to my Delta having it connected to both PowerStream and to the wall socket? As far as I understood this can help consume excessive power transmitted from PowerStream to the wall socket by Delta's bypass to the fridge and everyone's should be happy then?

    • @GLITCHEDZA
      @GLITCHEDZA  หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@atomiceugene Yes. This would contribute to your grid. So should your Delta need charging after an outage, it would contribute to that. But at the same time, you can use this to charge the Delta alone by directly plugging it into the system. If you don't, it will just send power to the Delta (and all the rest of the house). Whatever is plugged in, it helps power.
      I have left mine connected to my grid for about two months now and daily, it has helped send 4Kw into the house. The house uses about 20Kw per day so that has been cut down to 16Kw. Just by sitting there plugged in. Sometimes I have to charge my Delta. These 4Kw helped with that too.

    • @atomiceugene

      @@GLITCHEDZA Thanks a ton! This greatly helps me in planning, cause I have Delta Pro and would like to keep my critical appliances always power protected during possible outages meanwhile I'd like to have it charged more effectively via PowerStream. Extra energy from PowerStream will be provided to the grid including the bypass of Delta Pro's connected appliances but in case of an outage I just automatically get fridge on w/o any additional actions needed.
      Thank you!
