Loading bay area seems shorter than Isuzu's D max v cross, may be the engineers want to offer overall compact look to the vehicle and pay less attention to the utility aspect. Generally life style pick up trucks do compromise on rear passenger's sitting posture and high priority is given to the capability and utility but in this case it seems bit different. Mahindra could be wanting to target urban crowd.
Ideally Pickup trucks should be economical and easy to maintain given the tech and accessories it looks like expensive truck. I wonder who are the targeted customers
