I had just lost my long time girlfriend to an accidental overdose of prescription pills and just at my lowest point of grief I stumbled across this album. It was all I listened to for maybe 6 months...everyday. I cried alot..but the music sounded like a new beginning..the rising of a new day..of hope. Tom Delonge is a strange guy but I will forever be indebted to him for this stroke of genius and divine inspiration that helped me through the lowest point of my life. It might have saved my life.

I'm a cynical sometimes bitter 28 year old but this takes me back to when I still had hope...and I realize now that it was never about hope, though it does convey that message.
