Hey Tom Delonge and AVA I hope you read this one day. One of my first dates with a girl was a live concert of you guys. I'll never forget the moment you were playing this song and during all of the last part ("hold on, hold on to me"), we held on to each other and kissed for the first time. We are now engaged and getting married in a few months. Thank you for making that magical memory possible. Update 11/2/22! I am speechless to all those who have read this and I can only hope this makes it to Tom's eyes one day especially now that he's back tearing it up with Blink. To those who have asked, my now WIFE and I just made it through our first year of marriage. It hasn't been easy but we both do what it takes to make it possible to spend the rest of our lives together! ❤️ All of the love and support from fellow AvA fans is truly touching.

I remember when I first heard of Angels & Airwaves back in May 2006, around the time their first album came out. I was going to see Taking Back Sunday in concert, & AVA was touring with them, so I went onto their MySpace (at the time) & checked out a few of their songs. My jaw dropped, & I was hooked! Right when I heard the first song I said to myself "holy shit, it's Tom Delonge!" A few songs later & I hopped in my car to go buy the album. One of my favorite albums from a band. I was 20 years old at the time. I'm 29 now, & I'm still in awe by this album. Brings back such great memories that make you have those butterfly feelings in your stomach. Pure masterpiece!

my one wish would be to meet Tom DeLonge. This man has saved my life with songs just like this, among countless others in Blink and Boxcar Racer. I am battling depression and it got real bad recently due to my physical disability and being a single mother. I walk with a walker, im a recovering alcoholic and drug addict. In my most darkest of moments i found myself crying myself to sleep with Tom singing in my ear. He is an amazing lyricist and i pray for nothing but good health, good life and good times for him and his loved ones. Tom, Thank you. i may never get to meet you in this life and you may never read my comment but you saved my heart, saved my mind and my soul.

Almost 3 years ago now I remember being at a hospital with my girlfriend because we had just gone inside trying to get a cat-scan done on my head at like 10:30 at night because I was experiencing sharp pains in my head for some strange reason. Well the hospital told us they didn’t do that but she was so persistent and adamant about getting it done and pleading to the nurses behind the counter but they kept saying, “we’re sorry we don’t have a walk in cat-scan, you’ll have to come back tomorrow in the morning”, but still she tried and finally we said okay and left. But I vividly remember standing there watching her and thinking to myself my god nobody has ever given a crap or ever cared about me this much, and right there I just knew that she was my girl. We walked back to the car holding hands and I remember kissing her before we got in the car telling her I was fine and that I’ll be okay and we proceeded to get in the car and when I turned the car on this song came on, we just sat in the parking lot for a bit and she leaned over and laid on me and looked up at me, I looked back down at her and she got up and in the sweetest voice said, “what?”, and with a big smile on her face too. When she said that the lyrics, “like the time that we kissed”, hit and we kissed at that moment and something came over me I had never felt before. I looked right her and right at that moment I said, “I love you”, and she paused and smiled and said, “I love you too”, we kissed and it’s still and always will be the greatest moment of my life. I’ll always have a connection with this song, it will never get old or go away. I’ve told her I want this to be our first dance wedding song, and I’m confident it will be

It's the year 2019, I remember seeing the album I-Empire CD on my older brothers bed and I snagged it since I was always trying to listen to stuff he did since hes so cool in my book. I throw it into my CD player and my God as a 7 year old my ears were blessed. I grow older and my musical tastes change but still goes back to Green day, blink 182, and +44. So with the newfound phone I had I look up some music I cherished. And here I am, still in love with this music which takes me back to a child not knowing that those times fade away. Life moves on and I'm left with a life full of memories, regrets, and cherished thoughts. These are the wonderful thoughts of a 20 year old who only craves to be half his age once again but finds solace in old music.

I believe this was their first studio album and to me the best one. I like all their music and later stuff as well, but this album dropped when I was in 11th grade and it was perfect timing.
Every Time I listen this song (specially 3:14) I travel to October 2017 in Student Success building Colorado University. a Girl and I kissed each other in the emergency stairway, no one else around and the place was in silence, before kissing her I said to this girl "make me feel I am the only one" while I placed her arms around my neck. It's the year 2019, I remember seeing the album I-Empire CD on my older brothers bed and I snagged it since I was always trying to listen to stuff he did since hes so cool in my book. I throw it into my CD player and my God as a 7 year old my ears were blessed. I grow older and my musical tastes change but still goes back to Green day, blink 182, and +44. So with the newfound phone I had I look up some music I cherished. And here I am, still in love with this music which takes me back to a child not knowing that those times fade away. Life moves on and I'm left with a life full of memories, regrets, and cherished thoughts. These are the wonderful thoughts of a 20 year old who only craves to be half his age once again but finds solace in old music.
I often find Solace in the music I listened to when I was younger too.... It's comforting. AVA will always be there for me no matter what tho! Have you listened to their new stuff?? Kiss and Tell?? They get better nd better the older they get.
Nothing like the original line-up! I had the chance to see them when they came to México City. One of my best concerts ever! I lost it when they played this song, my favorite song. I wish they could come back one day...

I believe this was their first studio album and to me the best one. I like all their music and later stuff as well, but this album dropped when I was in 11th grade and it was perfect timing.

Every Time I listen this song (specially 3:14) I travel to October 2017 in Student Success building Colorado University. a Girl and I kissed each other in the emergency stairway, no one else around and the place was in silence, before kissing her I said to this girl "make me feel I am the only one" while I placed her arms around my neck. Not bad for an new English learner guy. Oh God still in love and miss her a lot, I wish with all my heart she become my girl. I think I just need to wait a little.
