Hey TronicsFix, I just subbed! I like how you do your videos it doesn't have those crazy intros and you seem to know what you're doing when it comes to fixing and cracking up consoles.
Jay Fisher Just don't tear it down to unplug the fan and it won't overheat. Even if you play it in a dock with a thick blanket over it, it won't overheat, because the air will find its way into the system.
Hey in heldhold, some games such as minecraft take around half an hour to only gain a little bit of heat at the back of the system. However when playing a game like payday 2, I simply sit on the main menu and within 2 minutes I can feel heat on the back. Is it normal for it to become warm at the back that fast?
Even when the system is cold? The only time I can understand why it was loud (full blast) was because it was laying flat and couldn't take in any air because it's blocked off but that was the only time it gets really loud. But every time I start Zelda it's noticeably high for few minutes and then gets quiet again but it will get quiet quicker if I enter menu in the game or home screen which is weird. Just want to know if this happens to every switch btw I only play in handheld mode.
I'm still too scared to play Skyrim on this thing. >_< Skyrim is one of those PC only games. BOTW is open world but the graphics are less intense than that of Skyrim. I'm just going to have to save up for a PC that can handle that game well for hours.
Hi its not realated with this video but i have a problem hope u can help me When ever i turn off my ps4 and turn in it all data get formated even soft i need to do completed reinstalling and solutions I changed its hard drive to 1tb from 500 gb New hard drive is off sea gate
I mean... it's a good thing if it feels hot, especially by the vents, as that means heat is being taken away from the chip-set. Overall though the Switch is well within normal operating temps. It's actually a very good design and it's GOOD that they somewhat under-clocked it. People were freaking out about that before it launched, but what that means is that it will be a very stable platform and hardware overall for the gaming masses.
How did he get the switch to last 4 hours and 30 mins on BOTW
Is it normal to wear shoe on a couch?
? Not sure what you mean
@@Tronicsfix you were laying down on your couch with shoes on lol
ECGaming _ maybe it’s clean cuz if it’s dirty if would’ve messed up the couch
The switch gets really hot when playing Diablo III and the battery life is really short 😔
You always make good videos :)
Thanks!

Thanks for the sub! I've opened a few consoles in my time!
looks like the heat pipe it's doing his job pretty good.
Yes, it seems to be.
Awesome review
Glad you liked it
How did you get the battery to last that long?
Temperature can be measured by laser?! Didn't know about that one
Yes, it's called an IR (infrared) temperature tester.
Like every grocery store with a deli uses one lol
OH rly have you tried zelda for 2.5 hours mine is like a toaster that hot
Yep...I was playing Zelda for this vid.
TronicsFix rly? -_- this never happened XD
@@Tronicsfix hey bro I got a question. My switch is making a fan noise is that normal?
@@robertlorenzo8833 no
What is the ambient temperature in your room?
72 degrees F
Should I worry about my switch overheating?
As long as it's well ventilated and you take care of it it should be fine.
TronicsFix How should I ventilate it properly? I have a ceiling fan but idk if that would work well.
Just don't keep it inside a drawer...keep it out in the open.

question is, whats the temperature right on the heatsink?
If you play Nintendo Switch in the midday sun for 5 minutes, his cooler will be pretty fast
try to charge it while playing for 4 hours i did and burnt my hand... i forgot that it was charging i was so into the game
Mine gave me the battery warning at 3 hours so I plugged it in and played for another 1.5 hours. Mine was warm but not even close to burning my hands.
Charging while playing increases the temp

1:40 why is it bent
It got too hot I think so when portables get hot they tend to bend like my iPad did
The fan on mine started spinning on high for a few minutes whenever I started Zelda. I called nintendo and they said that its normal.
Yes it's completely normal for the fan to spin high sometimes. That's what it's made to do.

Yes, even when it's "cold"
tronicsfix do u play legend of Zelda
breth of the wild?
Yep
How did he get it to stay on for 4.5 hours????? Zelda dies at around 3 hours???
I can play a lot longer than that on my Switch. If your's dies there's probably something wrong with it.
TronicsFix Explain how, even on the lowest brightness the battery will hit 0% after 3 hours or so
Hey tronics when will the giveaway winners be announced
All winners have been contacted.
When I play like 45min it overheats
That happens to me too

you're totally wrong there, graphics on breath of the wild are far superior than skyrim.
Botw graphics are more demanding
How long should I play in docked mode until the temperature reaches critical levels???
Assuming you don't have a defect, forever.
@@RainbowsClone will mine overheat in dock afterhours, while charging idk this stuff honestly
Also I got the v2 one
