What a fantastic edit, you managed to capture the atmosphere of the event.
It was absolutely mental 🤣
I did this climb, not in a race, on my Brompton in Feb 2020. My notes in Strava say it needs an expletive between the words "the" and "struggle". Feet went down, so I still don't consider this one fully 'completed'. Rare these videos bring out the gradient, but while I was going about 3rd of the speed, brings back the memory of the pain, conditions. Awesome race effort and kudos on bringing out the climb and atmosphere in those conditions in the video. It proper type2 fun. The way the weather changes over the event, pure Lake District! Captured great! Thanks! (and whoever that was on hand-bike, MASSIVE respect... would fear for my gentle hands shaking their hand).
In the grand scheme of things it’s not so bad if you take your time, it’s that kicker at the end with me already pushing max heart rate before I got to it 🤣

Curious to know where the parking was for so many people, prior to walking up to spectate. Ambleside is usually pretty rammed already!
We parked at the university campus at the bottom there was parking directly opposite and several other areas nearby

@@RobinDS-m1g i really appreciate the feedback, a lot of people don’t realise how much work goes in to it. Sometimes I can be editing for weeks because I’m not happy with it. This one I was up all night and took the day off work to get it out on time 🤣

What was your lowest gear ratio?
I had a standard bike set up nothing special 52/36 11/30. I’m going to look into building a bike specifically for hill climbing. Another bike 🤣

Loads of women however all women set off before me so had finished climbing before I got there and and pulled the camera out unfortunately
