    Thanks for doing the 2 tests and proving they are very close to each other. It would be interesting to see how you would do with 2 days of rest before each attempt.

      I think it probably would’ve been more accurate if I had properly recovered and probably accounts for some of the difference and maybe an idea for a future video to test how much of a difference tired legs makes on my 20 min power!

    Great effort. 308 or 314w is very high number. I also did the 2 tests. My ramp test result was a bit high

    Great effort, how many watts did you actually do on national hill cham climb? remember you mentioned the time at 4:06, but didn't think you mentioned the power number, bit curious about that. Btw you look like a pretty lean/skinny guy, have you ever felt like harder to push the power while sitted? I find myself always tend to stand on the pedal when going hard.

      It was pretty much bang on 400 average (strava says 402w). And I find unless the effort is under around 90 seconds I can sustain a high output for longer seated.

      @@FairlyLongBikeRide Damn, you have some pretty good punch, if we take 310 as you FTP, 400 for 4mins @130% FTP is pretty decent. I usually do 4*4mins @114%-116% FTP, it would cost me much more if i choose to do it @118% FTP.

    ftp is best mentioned along with time. its good context. so, 308 watts for 30, 40, 60 mins? the training for an athlete with a 30 min TTE, is not the same as a 60 min TTE rider. yea?

      Strictly speaking yes but it’s more about not putting a big out of the saddle anaerobic effort at the end skewing the results. For me the occasional stint out of the saddle is because the turbo being rigid and too hot I just get uncomfortable and need to readjust rather than using it to get more power out.
