Oh really I just pootled round to be honest other than the last 5 miles ish that was a bit of a work out with the Rapha Palace guys. I was expecting the hills to be a bit more brutal but a great day out nonetheless. See you at the Facey 50’s don’t be a 🐓
@@BeardonaBike yeah, I spent a lot of it on my own TBH, but the legs still felt decent at the end despite me blowing up (energy levels). I'm actually booked in at Santa Pod that weekend already, crewing with a mate in his drag car. 🤦

Nice one and great footage of the ride. That Staircase is a killer, but the reward of the roads and views after well worth the effort.

Yeah I had a moment I usually do, I think it’s lack of sleep. Routine gets thrown off, but I’ve noticed I usually bounce back. I stopped with the gels and had plain water and savoury snacks last 1/3rd

@@CyclingallthetimeJust get the endurance training in, the climbs are all easy enough it’s only the Devils staircase and even then it’s not that long. Might go back for that cheese on toast and potatoes 🤣

Great video mate. Chapeu on that ride - looked bloody tough from the start.
It was just a bit miserable with the weather, it warmed up half way through though. It’s hard to tell how hard to push yourself if you’ve not done any of the climbs before. May give it another crack next year

Great video and your a great rider, but 30 mins to change an inner tube😮
That included ride a bit stop pump it, ride again stop and pump it, it was a slow puncture and then eventually give in and got it changed. The micro pump I had didn’t help 🤣

How is Bwlch Bryn Rhudd pronounced?
@@BeardonaBike Bwlch = Bull-ch (ch like Scottish Loch), Bryn rhymes with Grin. Rhydd is Rh like in Rhino, the Y is an 'ee' sound, and DD is like the 'th' in There. Fantastic effort - I was out on my eMTB and saw lots of you flow past for the very last descent off the Bwlch.
