In today's elder scrolls lore video I will discuss the elder scrolls lore surrounding wolverines, the origins of werewolves in the elder scrolls, how hircine created werewolves, the effects of being a werewolf in the elder scrolls, other lycanthropes in the elder scrolls and I will cover all the information we have on werewolves in the elder scrolls universe. A quick disclaimer - A lot of these videos use information from the witcher wiki, in some cases I do read directly from the pages, I do always make sure to include my own thoughts and other information I know myself, but I just want to make sure everyone is on the same page here. Even though I use information from the wiki, I do still create the videos, with time, effort and a lot of editing! The idea behind the lore videos is to present to information to you guys in a fun and more interesting way then you guys having to get the information from pages and read it yourself. I know this is kinda late but in some lore books it is said that if the transformation is welcomed and seen as a gift and if the ww is loyal to hircine's blessing hircine may offer the ww control over their change, I always thought that was why companions could control it.

What an nightmare... imagine randomly turn into a halfshark while in bed at home, struggling for air, you stumble to the harbour, halfdead falling into the water... swimming out into the sea, pnly to suddenly turn back into human, now again, struggling for air, trying to find anything to cling onto for relief.
You'll find them in high rock southern part- illiac Bay, they're the rarest.

I suggest a video going in depth with the Daedra, particularly Meridia or Nocturnal. One of Meridia's artifacts is called the "Ring of Khajiiti", which has a really, really cool history.

Being a weresharks would be terrible if you lose the ability to breath out of water because you would just randomly transform and suffocate if you weren't near water

Please don’t say ESO I am very hesitant to call anything in that game Canon. For instance eso takes place a 1000 years before any of the elder scrolls games so why the fuck has no one in the previous games mentioned there was another oblivion invasion before oblivion or battlespire I mean I know the makers of the elder scrolls are known for their inconsistency but come on.
It's true Werewolves aren't 100% controlled by the phases of the moon, they are still more common around night time and full moons. Probably because Hircine's Blood Moon prophecy. He More or Less intended them to be nocturnal predators even if they aren't always seen at night or on a specific moon phase.
Werewolves are in the Bible and in mythology they aren’t just fictional

04:23 oh here was I thinking having my bones broken and reformed would be something akin to sex in pleasure lol. In any case good video man just wanted to say werewolves or at some are affected by the moon remember the poor bastard in falkreath who killed the little girl when he lost control to the beast inside. He says something along the lines of ‘you heard of man turning into beasts under moon’ I guess you could say oh it just a story but we don’t anything to disprove it and the prince of the hunt is associated the moon such as the blood moon in the third game dlc. That my take on it again good work and may the dark princes of oblivion keep you.
