      Miranda is already an actual decorated war veteran at the time Reach fell. She is already has her own command. What the actual fuck mandates framing her as weak and not accustomed to combat? And she is not a mechanic, she is an officer. Her main skills to showcase are leadership skills, so why focus on her tinkering with stuff when she already has a whole crew to do that. She's supposed to be doing the jobs that people look up to her for; leading.

      Ya I think one of the major issues with modern action movies is there always seems to be a need for a romantic subplot no matter how forced it may be.

    Miranda is a fantastic character... But not like this. The Mandalorian showed that the strong silent type can work as a protagonist. Chief can be strong and quiet (not silent), Johnson is excellent comedic relief, and Jacob Keyes is a great hero character. Not only that, but Thel Vadamee is a fantastic villian angle.
    Introduce Miranda in the first movie, then really flesh her out in the second. Not the other way around.
    By the time the third movie comes, we'd be as excited to see where Chief, Arbiter, Miranda, and Johnson go as we were to see where Luke, Han, Leia, and Chewbacca end up in their third movie.

      I feel like Chief or any Spartan really (in the show) should be shown in this perspective kind of thing, like don't make the camera revolve around or focus on him if that makes sense like mainly make it how others see him and stuff to really sell his legendary status but he still emotes and he still subtly shows his train of thought running or something like that. And then if they have a scene where he is alone or feels alone like in the Library or the underground place in the Guilty Spark level, then we focus on his perspectives to sell his depth as a character. Its kind of like a plot twist but mainly cinematographically? I was just thinking about in the games, you play as Chief right? Everything seems smaller than you, but if you really read or think about it, something like Grunts are actually similar in height to the average human.

    Hard disagree on Miranda being so important to the plot especially in the first movie. You set her up as a minor character in the first one who speaks with her father so it has weight when he is killed because of the flood. The relationship between Cortana and chief should be more fleshed out than any other since it’s a movie that should be focused on Master Chief. The marines serve well enough to move the story along. Needless side character interaction (as well as the massacre of Chief as a character) is what killed the tv series.

    Miranda also should absolutely not be on the same ship as her father when he finds the first halo. She very explicitly was not there, and that's a huge part of her ACTUAL growth arc of living up to her father's legacy in Halo 2/3.
    I also really dislike Miranda starting out as weak as she does in your script. She's not just a regular person, she's a ranking officer in the UNSC. She's literally a proven leader

    Honestly, I have to massively disagree on inserting Miranda into the story like that. Also Miranda isn't a child or weak at all, she's an officer in the UNSC, not the sort of person to not be used to combat by any means.
    It just doesn't feel necessary when Cortana is already there and goes through her own arc over the course of the original trilogy herself, she is that emotional mirror to the Chief, she is smart, has the girl boss energy and also plays a very large role in the story as a female co-star to Chief.
    You've made a solution looking for a problem with writing in Miranda into the story from CE, she also wouldn't be present on her fathers ship, it would also be against military code for her to have a relationship with an enlisted member when she herself is a officer in the naval command structure.
    There's so many characters like SGT Johnson for example that you could pick as what essentially would be a third co-lead/co-star, since Cortana already fits that role, that could be included instead of Miranda that would fit the role much better lore and story wise.

    • @michaellane5381
      @michaellane5381 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Agreed, honestly if you really wanted both romance and accuracy you may be better off making 4 movies, movie one from Halsey's perspective as narrator about Reach and perhaps Chief's Childhood and Miranda's, movie 2 from Keye's perspective as Narrator, up until his death, at which point perhaps the film goes "silent film/hybrid" making key use of Cortana for voice lines on occasion but otherwise thriving on music and sound alone.
      Three being narrated by Miranda and more closely following Chief than the Arbiter.
      4 being a spinoff like Letters from Iwa Jima, possibly being told narratively by Sergeant Johnson and leaving the Arbiter and Sangheli as translated subtitles going over Arbiter's H2 and 3 experience.
      Then 5 being told through Halsey, Miranda, and Cortana's narration, the story of Chief's H3, with the narrator being hopeful about the remaining characters as Halsey, fearful yet determined as Miranda, then confused, unreliable, and damaged as Cortana.
      Edit: I clearly forgot, the "romance" in 1-3 would be Halsey/Keyes, and the subtext of both characters place in the story would be "legacy" and "hope" through Chief, Miranda, and Cortana.

    While I want this to do well, I’m really not sure about bringing Miranda in as someone chief needs to babysit.

      @four-en-tee 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      Ideally, Miranda should be out of Chief's hair entirely in Halo 2 & 3 and just doing her own plot thread away from him. I figure the entire reason he felt the need to include her in Halo 1 is so that there's some more natural connective tissue to the beginning of Halo 2 at the award ceremony.
      My big suggestion for Halo 1 would be that if Miranda is going to be the main character going through a big arc in these three films, then she needs to do so at the start away from Chief with some of the marines (this also makes the loss of the marines more impactful, as well as it gives us a POV of the marines being captured during the second mission before Chief comes and saves them). Then she could link up with Chief during the flood attack and accompany him for the rest of the film (and it'd feel a lot less forced, we could say Halsey had been avoiding Cortana as much as she could until that point due to being based on Halsey), but before then, she should play support if she's an engineer.
      I think the big issue this guy is overlooking is that Chief does need to be a focal point character in this, even if he's not really a character with an arc in these films. He basically serves the same role as other flat arc characters like Goku. He still needs to be THE important character that drives the plot forward. By comparison, Miranda would basically be filling a Gohan type role in this analogy, the only difference being that Miranda dies in the third film.

    I hole hardily disagree with Miranda being the focus or even in CE at all, considering she is on Luna during the events of CE. Having Miranda in CE breaks the story Bungie laid out and ruins any future events that focus on her in H2 and H3. Like her first seeing Delta Halo and saying, "So this is what my father found."
    The Premise though I like, But have Chiefs partner be Johnson or either a marine or ODST that we know survives to the book First strike! You have the serious silent warrior (Chief) and then the comedic soldier everyone loves. Sure it alters some significant events, but nowhere near as drastically as having Miranda present. This leaves it so, in Johnson's case, he can take the lead in H2 with Miranda and her squad when they raid Delta Halos Library without Chief or his lines in New Mombasa, "Stick with the Chief, he'll know what to do" be all the more impactful.
    Ultimately though, regardless of any significant changes like that, the story NEEDs to stay the same. Like the LotR example you used, Bungie gave us a perfect story that dosent need huge changes to narratively adapt or fit to live action. Even without a sidekick, Chief on his own or with just Cortana can absolutely be done, just look at Mandalorian for example.

    If CE is to be remade, a Band of Brothers-esque retelling of it is the best route. On-the-ground storytelling from the men and women who were there!
    Halo, especially CE, is steeped in 1990's grungy sci-fi in the Aliens tradition. This should be leaned into - essentially (like the game) setting up a heroic action flick with bravado and some camp, then delving into horror, and ending with the bittersweet sacrifice and struggle of destroying the Ring.
    Focus (again, like the game) should be on-the-ground action, but more of the characters should be fleshed out, but they can still remain the plucky and determined rogue's gallery that the UNSC Marines always were! This makes the slow attrition and their eventual deaths one-by-one more and more impactful! Chief, like all spartans, should be an asocial freak, a weapon... he probably won't be in many scenes except to deliver one-liners, act as a vessel of overwhelming force in key scenes, and otherwise be detached and often absent as the film goes on (doing other missions away from the marines)
    Halo is about humanity, so the film should represent humans' tenacity in the face of existential threat. The marines may falter, but they never lose hope in the grand scheme. Halo is hope.

After all that, you randomly take a Halo 2 character, shove them in a Halo 1 retelling, make them act like a child, no disciple whatsoever, despite being the daughter of a highly decorated navy captain, an extremely important scientist/genius and after going through basic training and at least some action herself, how does any of that work? How does someone who would be raised in wartime, be something of a genius herself, choose to follow in her father's footsteps without already having been taught, understanding and respecting the military lifestyle? It just makes no damn sense to me, the way I see it, if the person grows up in a military family and they decide to follow in their footsteps, by the time they've made that decision, the time for rebellion is over.

    You went off the rails the second you introduced Miranda as a main character. The magic of the Bungie Halo trilogy was the lone wolf aspect of the games. Master Chief works best when he's on his own. Supporting characters like Miranda, Johnson, Jacob Keyes and even Guilty Spark add to his character through their interactions. The girl boss trope had long run it's course. If you are going to go back to the roots of Halo, go all in. Bet on the man himself. The iconic spartan 117. I'm not saying you don't understand Halo. It's evident you are truly a fan of the series and it's lore, but the lore needs to be honored, not altered. Miranda isn't even introduced until Halo 2. She wasn't even present during the events on Installation 04. A good movie, or series of movies would be able to fit nicely into the existing story line without any wiggling. THIS is what the true fans of Halo really want. Breaking from the lore is what turned off the fans to Paramount show to begin with. Clearly, the feel of what Halo truly represents is lost on you. It is perfectly encapsulated on the back of the original Xbox game's box. No offense meant by this. I love the creatively. For what it's worth, your pitch is MUCH better than what we got. Keep the ideas coming!

      You cant make a film about that though. You can't have this stoic, silent soldier as the main character, and still make the movie have any emotional depth. It works fine in the games because 95% of the time you're actively playing in combat which is entertaining, but it wouldn't work trying to tell that story through film. You need character development and resolution, not just a 2.5 hour long Master Chief cutscene montage. Chief needs to be a major-side character in the first films and become more and more important as they progress, eventually becoming the main character when it comes down to him being the ONLY one left, and at that point it can just be all combat scenes. Chief doing what Chief does. One final push to save humanity, after Keyes and Johnson are dead. But that should only happen in the third film and for only like the last 45 minutes, and until then he needs to just remain a fan-favorite side protagonist for the first two films.

      @tkxbetrayer2405 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +9

      Exactly! Have Cortana and Chief play off each other. Say what you will about Halo 4, but their dynamic was perfect in that game. Exposition and storytelling don't have to rely on words and conversation. Look at movies like "A Quiet Place." Chief being Chief is all that is needed. You can still be a 3-dimensional character without speaking constantly. Deviating from the core story of Combat Evolved is the last thing a "good" Halo film needs. Over thinking what should be included to make a good movie is the reason adaptations of video games have been so hit or miss. In most cases, miss. If you are going to add anything to the story to make it more interesting, dive a little more into Johnson's character. We already know he plays a big roll later in the series and since he actually was present on the ring in Halo 1, why not expand a bit on his time there? Between Captain Keyes, Johnson, Cortana, Spark and all the random marines Chief interacts with, there is no reason good storytelling can't happen without altering the lore. K.I.S.S. Keep It Simple Stupid! At the end of the day, fans just want a faithful adaptation. It doesn't need to be so complex.

    It's absolutely not how I'd do it but I like it.
    My issue is, introducing the flood in a first movie would leave very little wriggle room. I feel like the first film should be more about why Mjolnir armour was produced in the first place. So, movie 1 is Spartans vs humans and introducing the covenant. Movie 2 is the war with the covenant and the introduction of the Flood. And movie 3 is about resolving the issue with the Flood.

    • @RedTHedge
      @RedTHedge 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      You're forgetting this is what they did in the games, and it worked well. For a potential Halo 2 after Halo 1 introduces the Flood, instead of outright mentioning it they could allude to it. This could help build tension so new viewers would have a slow buildup, while returning fans would have a slow hype buildup.

    • @davidriley354
      @davidriley354 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I've certainly not forgotten. I even appreciate it, as any Halo fan should. But I think it's important for there to be some focus on the narrative happenstance of humanity having something to defend themselves against the Covenant; the Spartans. That's where the story depth comes from. If there was no insurrection there'd be no need for Spartans, and the Human/Covenant war would be over pretty quickly. That backstory needs at least 45 minutes of screen time. Master Chief and Avery Johnson deserve their characters to be given weight and depth so that the casual watcher, as you mentioned, can attach to them. Why would a casual care about Dr Halsey otherwise? All that is meant to come before we get to the Covenant or even to the Halo installation, but it can be done in half or 2 thirds of a film.
      Imagine watching as the sounds of the first sirens ring out as the Covenant find Harvest, and the human colony goes into mass panic on screen. Imagine Master Chief seeing a video of that from worlds away, unable to do anything about it. You'd give up high levels of emotional response and character reasonings to jump straight into the story of CE? Most people barely care about wars happening on the other side of our planet, so you understand that you've got to make character's reasons for fighting more personal. I believe that requires backstory.
      What I'd actually do is play out the intro from CE in mostly the same way until it's time to wake the Master Chief. As he's asleep, you can go right into the flashback for the bulk of the story to be told, ending, of course, with the Master Chief in cryostasis, and the Pillar of Autumn cruising towards the Halo construct as Captain Keyes makes his famous plea "Cortana, all I need to know is did we lose them." with Cortana replying "I think we both know the answer to that." Then the credits finally roll. Just like in Halo Reach. The Flood? That comes later.

  • @ChefandTheArbistor
    @ChefandTheArbistor 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +39

    I'm not sure if I prefer this over CE's story. There were many different directions to take in order to have a 3D character with the chief and have them have a secondary plot, like Johnson. With him, you can even still do the whole "love story" thing with Foehammer.
    I personally prefer Miranda being a mature grown-up character, because it better represents her need for perfection and wanting to live up to her father's legacy, and more notably, her mother. You also can't forget that she's a commander of a ship. She doesn't just work on a multi-million dollar ship when it's weapons go down. Adding the fact that she basically grew up without her father, and while her mother still cared for her - she's Halsey - she's got more important things to do, so Miranda taught herself to be independent, and all of her naval knowledge was self-tought. It would also be a weird character shift from being well known as "the ballsiest officer in the fleet" to an desperate, immature little girl who craves validation from her father.
    Miranda shouldn't be in this film, at least not on Halo. Your version strays too far from the story's simple perfection in my opinion.
    I also feel like the master chief is less of a main character in this. While he is mastef chief and he's quiet and all, he isn't a pushover nor is he mute, he's a commanding figure and still quite intimidating. Infinite's version should be the basis of his character.
    I also prefer how Jenkins' plot was handled in The Flood, with him seeming more heroic, while still letting us feel his agonising pain. Jenkins' story was incredibly sad and was genuinely one of the most emotional things I'd ever read. I think that story should be left well enough alone.

      A side character in the first film i guess. Just make sure you give him a lot of memorable one-liners and badass moments and you've got Johnson pretty much set. Also, he definitely still needs to die fighting Guilty Spark come Halo 3. Beyond that, maybe he plays as Miranda's love interest in 2 and 3 and further develops in those films to fill Miranda's shoes once she's killed (y'know, at least until he dies; that sets Chief up for the warthog run sequence and the ending on the Forward Unto Dawn).
      Ideally: Miranda is the protagonist of 1 and 2, and Johnson is the protagonist of 3. That way if we do commit to a Halo 4 years later to cap the movies off with, Chief can be the protagonist and we can tell the rampancy story while cleaning up the forerunner lore. And then you end the movies there. The hardest part of writing a story is knowing when it needs to end, and 4 is a great place to end Chief's story if you don't end it with 3.

    I'm not against the idea of having Miranda be in a prominent role, I think that has the potential to be really interesting, why not have the focus be on Sargent Johnson instead? In the first game alone he's popping up all over the place as he's involved in first meeting up with Chief on the ring, with rescuing Captain Keys and the surviving command crew from the Truth and Reconciliation, was part of the Captain Key's squad that went looking for the weapons cache that turned out to be the Flood (so he was at ground zero, a pretty Sgt. Johnson thing to experience imo), and also escaped Halo before it exploded. So much space for storytelling in those scenes alone, not to mention the ones we never see in game.
    Also there's already a canonical reason why Johnson is able to survive the Flood without an environment suite on like Chief, since he was part of the ORION Project. Aka the project that later became the Spartan program that created Master Chief. That could set up a really interesting dynamic with Chief and Johnson as you can tell they both very strongly respect and trust each other and you see that grow throughout the games. For example, at the end of Halo 3 Chief literally gives Johnson Cortana to activate the unfinished Installation 04 on the Ark. That's some amazing trust Chief's showing by handing over Cortana so easily to him after everything that's happened.
    Chief and Johnson have a fantastic dynamic in Halo 2 and 3 so it could be a fun area to explore that dynamic/friendship throughout the events of Combat Evolved as it seems Johnson is one of the few people Chief trusts to get the job done without question, and that's so satisfying to see a friendship like that be tested and strengthened. Also Johnson is a very vocal person, a great counterpart to Chief's stoic and quite demeanor. He could bring to a movie the right balance of humor, badassery, and space horror that the original Halo trilogy has without disrespecting the source material.

    to expand on your idea of a trilogy i’d suggest the first movie being more of a prequel type setup from project osiris introducing sgt johnson, young chief being kidnapped and trained in the spartan 2 program to spartan 3’s and the fall of reach, ending on the autumn finding halo, this allows a quality product that respects lore and can introduce new fans to the actual story.
    the second movie can basically be halos 1-3 which would work cus it would cut out hours of combat gameplay, maybe sprinkle in some odst shit,
    and the finale can take place instead of the 343 stories starting on the forward unto dawn with new storywriting but better than halos 4, 5, and infinite, ending on master chief’s either retirement, sacrifice, or death, preventing any later reboots from fucking up the canon.
    casting wise: steve and jen obviously
    keith david is a must
    josh brolin as keyes
    i like your choice for miranda
    and i saw someone said jamie foxx for johnson which im not against but if they could find a better fit that may be lesser known id be cool w it
    and definitely get nathan fillion and maybe ron pearlman in there somewhere.

    For clarity sake, I meant PVT Jenkins, not SGT Johnson. SGT Johnson will still be a part of the story just like in the game, and there is not a “romance plot” between Jenkins and Miranda, just subtle hints that they might be pretty close. Certainly no romance story lines like in the Halo show. The details of their relationship are up to the audiences imagination. This just makes his death that much more emotionally impactful.
    Hope that clears things up!

    I believe that the whole Halo CE journey Chief should be with a team of a handful Mariens.
    Chief, Miranda and some Marines escape from the ship and like in the games half of them Die because of the crash landing. Then you have Chief rescuing the Mariens like in the Games and making contact with Foehammer. From this part forward you have a big group of Soldiers with chief as Teamleader doing the stuff of the story and many of them die along the way due to the flood. Miranda getting more skilled, the less people are still alive. They find Sgt. Johnson along the way and in the end a handful Mariens destroy the pillar of autumn and escape with foehammer from the Ring so you have Chief, Miranda and Johnson in a Pelican or Longsword with some lucky dudes flying home…
    Jenkins could be there from the beginning or they could find him with Johnson. He can also survive with them towards the end.
    In that scenario every character can have his specific role in the Story.
    Cortana telling them what to do and giving instructions and explaining why they have to do it instead of just leaving and saving themselves.
    Master Chief leading the group in Combat and always making sure that they survive (this way you can show him as guardian angel for the humans -> humanity)
    Miranda being frightened and “weak” at the beginning but learning from the interactions between the Mariens and therefore grows with them and becomes more important to the team the less are still living.
    Sgt. Johnson when he joins the team becomes that mental support for the Mariens and the group to stay together and keep going whatever the odds. The Mariens just want to leave but Johnson is keeping them away from doing it.
    Foehammer, You could even make be the same guy from Halo infinite (I wouldn’t recommend this decision because, you would have more female characters otherwise) but you don’t have to kill her of like in the game. She could still crash land but be rescued by the chief or the whole team and then she flies the Longsword.
    Throughout the movie Chief should always be determined to leave no one behind and to do whatever is necessary. While the Mariens are desperate to save their lives. Chief could go alone and then always succeed but he never judges the other because of their fear and that there want to save their own lives.
    Sgt. Johnson even not judging and just motivating them without being too aggressive, like we know him from the games!
    This way you create a positive dynamic and an iconic Movie version of Master Chief who is a saviour and actually show it instead of just telling. You would also have a good message along the line of “if you’re stronger you have a greater responsibility to act and do good things” stuff like this!
    You should have a handful of people survive. The main cast and some side characters maybe even Jenkins. So you have a cast for the next movie and you don’t have to RedCon the ending for Halo 2 if you show Johnson and some others surviving.
    That would make the whole package for me and sell it for a greater audience!
    …I guess 🤷🏻‍♂️😂

    Couple of things could be interesting, you could make Miranda Foehammer (Echo 419) since she’s a mechanic it’d make sense that she’d be tuning up her own Pelican.
    With Miranda being a focus, you could really play on this idea that it’s sibling fighting alongside each other as Halsey may be Miranda’s actual mom but the Spartans were truly Halsey’s children.

      Foehammer is too iconic to do that. I'd rather get the emotional payoff of her dying in the end than undercut her character by turning her into Miranda and allowing her to survive. Part of the great narrative of the game/books is howuch resistance humans put up only to fail in the end. Master Chief needs to be the only person we see getting off the ring. "Just dust and echoes" is such a great line and know others survive reduces its impact. Miranda adds nothing to the story overall (she would have a great character arc though) and would reduce the opportunities we get to see chief and Cortana bond.

    I always felt that killing Miranda was one of the biggest missteps in Halo 3, I get that it was done to ramp up the stakes but it felt weirdly cruel, like killing off both father and daughter, just didn't work for me. I really like giving her a much bigger role as well as actually getting to see her interact with her dad, something we never actually got in the games. If they wanted to do that scene I think keeping Foehammer alive so she could crash into the citadel feels more in line with her character than what's described with Miranda.

    • @Specoups
      @Specoups 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +9

      I never had any issue with her dying as well as her father, tragedy is not bad in itself.
      What bugged me however is that she never got to play any real role in the story before she was killed. In a way it's not unrealistic: there are no protagonists in real life and war. But in a spectacular story such as Halo's first trilogy, I expected characters we see to play key roles there and here, but Miranda never really made an impact in the storyline beyond being at the initiative of following Regret in H2. Her character was also a bit bland in her depiction, which was something thankfully fixed in H2: Anniversary, where she seemed a bit more invested and less weirdly stoïc.
      So what really bugged me after all, is that Miranda was more or less decorum, like Mercy as well. But even then, Mercy displayed way more character than Miranda.

    I'm sorry no, this is having similar issues to the Paramount show. Changing what's already been established. Adding characters where they shouldn't be, having a romantic thing going. If you want to tell a different side of what happened in the first game, just do the novelization of Halo the Flood. Chief is in there, Cortana is in there in and out of the main story, but you get to see what all the other Marines and even the covenant are doing throughout the first games story. People need to stop trying to take what is canon and what is established and changing it or adding things that they feel would make it better or more artsy. Paramount writers wanted to do their own thing and look where that got us.
    I appreciate the thought and work put into this story. If we want to do a Halo movie that has to do with Miranda and her backstory before Halo 2, then a lot of this could happen in that, just don't go injecting all this new stuff and story beats into what we already know and love.

  • @benji_clark06

    I disagree that Miranda needs to be in the first film at all. I get it's for emotional connection or what not, but honestly I feel like her being shown on Cairo station at the end of the film as a little tease to the start of a second movie (i.e Halo 2 where she accepts the award for her father's sacrifice) would be much better.
    I picture it as having the same shot of showing her name on her uniform like Captain Keyes at the start, before moving up to show her putting on her ceremonial cap in a private room before the award ceremony, mourning her father. Those of us who played the games know Captain Keyes is dead and this is his daughter, but it would be a better introduction for those who haven't played Halo before to show Keyes has a daughter.
    It also still keeps that 'human'/emotional part of her in somewhat. Whilst we hear some cheering in the background of her scene (for Chief and Johnson), the scene of her mourning her father before the ceremony shows that in war, every casualty has an effect on someone, somewhere.

    I’m sorry man but no, this isn’t what we’re looking for. It sounds like what would happen if Disney got their hands on the I.P. It also makes no sense. The whole point of Miranda’s story is that she DIDNT find the first ring, because she finds the second ring in halo 2 and that puts her on her own character arc. Halo doesn’t need helmetless heads or relatable human characters to work, and that’s not what the appeal is to people. The appeal of halo is the cool, cold, badass seven foot tall Spartan in green armour kicking ass and dropping cold af one liners while saving the galaxy. I also don’t see why Cortana is so underutilised in both your script and the halo tv show. Cortana is the ‘human’ character in halo. That’s the point. The machine is more man than the actual man. She’s more human than chief. She’s the one that does the talking and feels the emotions. Cortana is the one who conveys the emotional stakes to the player in the halo CE cutscenes, not chief. The story is about him and her, it always has been and always should be, it’s why it works.

    I think the writing challenge with her is figuring out how she will complement Chief, since usually Cortana takes care of all the things that chief can't. It's hard to avoid making either cortana or miranda a somewhat useless accessory, which could be annoying. Maybe having Miranda have her own solo subplots as well as scenes together with Chief would balance the characters.

  • @8BallGaming666
    @8BallGaming666 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Personally, I have 2 actors in mind I think will be perfect for Master chief / John-117 himself:
    1. Jason Statham, as he has incredible combat training and has insane knowledge for fight scenes that feel real, he is also good with head movement and fantastic body language which can be fantastic for chief. But I mainly think he would do better for Isaac Clarke for a Dead Space movie or series.
    2. Kane Hodder, for anyone who does not know who this walking goliath of a man is. Kane Hodder is the favourable actor who played as Jason Voorhees in the Friday the 13th movies and Freddy vs Jason, I choose Kane Hodder as a near perfect actor for the role as he is tall and can keep a silent character perfect. Also body language, he will be perfect for the character as he can move but he can also be brilliant at keeping chief stoic.
    Trust me, If you have ever watched any of the films that Jason Statham is in and Kane Hodder's Friday the 13th's then you can probably agree with my two choices.
    But about the film Idea, it again does not seem like Master Chief is not the main character of the franchise as he actually is. The game series is about him and his development as a character, and why do we need Miranda when we have Sgt Johnson? The issue with the Halo series was what they did to Chief and not making him the MAIN CHARACTER, the Halo series sucked for every reason you should know by now, such as: Helmet removal, Disrespect on Cortana, Master Cheeks and there is more screen time for the daughter hunting her father and a woman abducted by the covenant. You are making a similar mistake as Chief will again not be the main character. Who is at the front cover of every Halo game? CHIEF, who do you mostly play as in Halo? CHIEF!!!
    I am 17 turning 18 and I have been playing the series since Halo 3 as Halo 3 came out the same year I was born into this destroyed woke society we live in, and yes I have played almost every single Halo, From Halo CE through to Halo infinite. Don't believe me? I have played:
    1. Halo 2
    2. Halo CE
    3. Halo 3 & (ODST)
    4. Halo 4
    5. Halo 5 Guardians
    6. Halo Reach
    7. Halo Infinite
    8. Halo Waypoint
    9. Halo Spartan Assault
    10. Halo Wars 1 & 2
    In the span of 15 years I have played these and grown up with them, and 3 / 10 of these games do not have Master Chief as a main character. And Halo is well known and remembered because of Master Chief, we all grew up as Master Chief and we all died as Noble Six. It is not hard to keep the story the same as the games, It might seem boring but the games is literally already a entire movie script.
    Not hard. But what are your thoughts on the movie or if you do not have one, what do you agree or disagree?

Also various aspects of Halo are owned by so many different entities to where the director is going to have a million people telling them what to do and what is needed. These combined factors alone make an accurate adaptation almost impossible.

    A young lady's need to prove herself to her father, find romance, act of her own accord, etc. reads like something by Austen or a Bronte sister.
    Halo is far more suited to the style of Storm of Steel by Junger and The Old Man and the Sea by Hemingway highlighting the bond of brotherhood shared by soldiers and mankind's unyielding perseverance and resilience.
    The protagonist should be an unnamed Marine with at least Mendoza, Dubbo, and Stacker being part of his squad where their battles mix with the Chief's and times where they don't along the ring.

Being the daughter of Halsey and keyes. Having a kind of dad figure in seargant johnson when she loses her father. Inheriting her fathers mission. You could even try to make a connection between master chief and her. Being that her mother created the spartans. Maybe she met john a couple times when they were kids. She died before making any impact or before even displaying entertaining character (unlike Mercy for example, who had basically no initiative in the story but was at least displaying emotional and cultural drive needed to understand the harsh nature of Covenant social hierarchy structures), which is honestly a bit meh.

Why not keep the same story that already worked and built this universe and just focus on giving us the reality of how spartans operate that we cannot live in-game for playability issues? You know, like, how spartans are super fast, and if the game was like that it would need to be massive and we couldn't shoot anything at that speed?
