    I love these kinds of videos from smaller creators about fixing cars, they just have some kind of magic in them. You did a great job with this one.

    I own a Saab, it uses 5x110 pattern rims, you could always search for some of those. They haven't made Saabs in over a decade now, so anyone with rims would probably sell them for pretty cheap.
    Of course... Saab rims tend to be uhh. A bit unique lol. I doubt you could find any 17" 9-3 Viggen rims, but they are relatively sporty looking.

    A car that will always be in my heart
    I actually still own a 1.2 2001 automatic corsa c. Sadly shes mostly abandoned in my home town, no insurance and everything, but every time I go to my home town i take her for a wash and she starts like she's new lol, awssome little nugget

    In the 2.0 CDTI/Fiat Multijet you need to replace the oil pickup tube seal (aluminum replacements available on ebay), and on the A20xxx engines you need a set of new conrod big end bearings. Hope this helps someone.

    had a NA 1.5d isuzu corsa B for a while. It definitely felt like driving a tractor. Guess what? I used it mostly on dirt roads and green lanes so it felt fine until engine blew.
    Didn't think the 1.7cdti was any good, always thought the real hidden gem was the 1.3cdti (a rebranded fiat Multijet engine, an undestructible work horse which I have taken to over 375k km and still running over pot-holes and unpaved roads).
    Good to know, since the C corsa still goes for relatively cheap!

      Interesting, cause it's the exact opposite for me. I had a 1.3 cdti Corsa D and I hated it. It felt so underpowered and the intake manifold got clogged because of all the gunk the egr was sending through it and it had some other problems as well which made it run in limp mode quite often. It was also a pain to work on.

      @@Zakis_wonderful_world my bad. was talking about the 1.3mjt 69bhp under the punto 188. The other versions of the engine are known to have a few recurring issues. My only issue is that I keep hitting the carter with rocks.

    In latam on the early 2000 this was sold as the chevrolet corsa evolution 2nd gen here in ecuador, no diesel engine here thou but the 1.4 petrol engine was really popular. here it was the succesor of the suzuki chevrolet forza or swift respectively. to this day you see tons of corsa on the street 1.2 1.5 1.6 engine both 1st an this secon gen here. nowadays opel open a dealership her last gear but is now a high end car for wealthy youn people. IN a market of chinese suv dominance sadly not many corsa are sold. also astra zafira was sold here as chevrolet. the astra didn sold that much but the zafira sold a lot. here cares are 20 to 30 years old since 3rd world country and despite the zafira 2.0 engine been finnky it is quite realible.

    Hi, I was interested in buying one of these car as my first car. i really need a reliable and low consumption car and this seems to fit. I was wondering if you'd suggest me to buy it and what to check in a car like this. Thank you, and keep doing your good videos :)

    • @Zakis_wonderful_world
      @Zakis_wonderful_world  หลายเดือนก่อน

      It's a good car, the combination I have is probably the best you can get power and fuel economy wise. The non commonrail version 1.7 are also good, the 1.3 is a Fiat engine, people say they're good, but I don't like working on them. The petrol versions are also ok, not exceptional, but good cars.
      What you need to check is if the driver and passenger footwells are wet, on some cars that can happen because the seals in the firewall go bad (the brake booster and the BCM wiring harness), its not expensive to fix but it is time consuming, cause you gotta remove a couple of stuff, scrape off the old seal and apply some new sealent.
      And the other one is rust, these cars are just getting to that age, where common rust locations are starting to show, you need to check the front subframe (around the steering rack), the wheel well right in front of the rear wheels, and around the fuel filler cap. These are the things that I found looking at these cars, there might be more idk. Hope it helps.

    Of course that turbocharger is a small one, but not surprise, given the low power of this engine. As for vacuum pump on alternator - this is not peculiarity of this engine - it's peculiarity of Opel - well, maybe some Opel engines doesn't have such a solution, but certainly I've seen alternators from Omega being used in Ford Transit because of this. Finally, as for the praise for the engine - nothing special there, just a reasonably built and configured engine, although probably novel for Opel - similar amounts of torque and power could be had in VW's made in late 90's from much simpler engines. And such diesels, of course, should have more torque than petrol engines - they are always mated to terribly long gearboxes, where that extra torque disappears...
    P.S. DMF falling apart is feature of modern crap cars; I'm wondering what parts makers nowadays are doing to achieve that, but they certainly achieve their goals - they save on production, and gets to sell extra DMFs. Just an example how it should be - DMF in C4 Audi 2.5 TDI works fine as long as nobody has tuned the engine, so whenever you see stock C4 A6 2.5 TDI, it with 95% probability contains original DMF, despite that car is approaching 30 years of age...
