    Man! That Gold Cube is pretty great. I always wonder how much gold never made it into my vials, how much went out the ass end of the sluice box, or what I missed panning. I also save my black sands for a rainy day. I bet I missed a bunch but hey $1.97 for 5 years isn't bad at all! Good video buddy. ATB -KleshGuitars

    It would be interesting to see you pan a bag of paydirt, weigh the recovered gold, keep all the dirt and stuff, mix it back together, then see how much the Gold cube recovers, if its more, less, or about the same.

    • @MillerProspecting
      @MillerProspecting  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I thought of that but the problem is the gold cube traps a lot of dirt. The mats can hold 1.5 cups of material. So its great to turn 5 gallons into 1.5 cups. But turning a typical 2lb bag into 1.5 cups isnt that awesome. I will be left with a big chunk to repan. Instead I am going to use some material with zero gold and add in the gold so has set amount and run that way.

    The crazy thing is that I check TH-cam every day waiting on a video of yours man. Lol The GOLD CUBE so far is looking very promising. You missed some dirt on the yellow tub cover. That would have made two dollars worth of gold, but the set up looks pretty sick man. Keep them coming Dylan.

    Good video. I think you'll really like the Cube. It does a great job of catching the fine stuff. Top it off with a miller table and you'll get it all. Keep 'em coming.

      I already love this thing, it is a beast. If you ran dirt like that through a blue bowl most would get blown out. To catch -100 gold that fats is pretty cool.

      I am ecstatic with the low gold count, shows I am not losing a lot of gold. Sucks that it didn't really test the cubes ability though, but have lots of tests to do with it.

    7:50 Any gold that might be in there would probably be in the first 1/2 to 2 inches of the first tray. And it might be too small to easily see.

    Very nice seeing any gold makes me happy but the question is if 5 years = 1.97 do you personally think it's worth it. You could of bought alot of other paydirt for the cost of the cube

    • @MillerProspecting
      @MillerProspecting  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Honestly any equipment I buy is purely for the review. I buy equipment to review, not to use full time. I love panning, it is what got me into this hobby and how I will always process my paydirt. Also I have bought a lot of bad bags of paydirt simply for the review. Oh and about $300 of the $400 was donated by my wonderful subscribers towards this Gold Cube.

    • @MillerProspecting

      It would, but the trommel is WAY too expensive. I have been working on plans to build one but had to wait till my cube arrived for measurements.

      very true but in construction you measure twice.......just in case .....lol Yes this year I will have some cube vids too I am in the process of making a larger classifier out of a rubber maid bin so I can process more dirt.......fingers crossed. Good luck to ya man!

    Awesome I would hate to know how much I have missed from me just starting this year and how much more I will lose in the years to follow

    • @MillerProspecting
      @MillerProspecting  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      thats why I save all my tailings. Even when I started I would save up a 5 gallon bucket, then take a month off buying and just repan it. Saved me money from buying more paydirt, and usually made a little by finding the gold I had missed.

    I'm curious if you have run all your old panned dirt through this recovery system. If so did you recover similar amounts. Pennies makes pounds as it were. Im in UK by the way.
    Cheers for the vids

    • @MillerProspecting
      @MillerProspecting  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      That is what I ran though the gold cube for this test. All that paydirt was my -20 concentrates I got from all my paydirt reviews. I dont remember the exact amount but only recovered about $2 worth of gold.

  • @PBandJelly-
    @PBandJelly- 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    so I'm a new viewer and I have a question I've watched a lot of your videos I haven't seen all of them yet but I was just curious why you always wear black rubber gloves?

    • @MillerProspecting
      @MillerProspecting  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      To be cool, lol. Seriously though I suffer from psoriasis on my hands, and get it pretty bad at times. Plus I am on some immune suppressing drugs. So no immune system, lots of cuts, abrasions etc on hands, and lastly foreign dirt in water. So after few infections I started wearing gloves to insure I keep my fingers. Oh and did I say it makes me look cool, lol.

  • @terrencegildred442
    @terrencegildred442 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hey, great videos really enjoy them all. Got a gold cube myself and I’m so expressed with it. I have one question in all your videos you always are wearing rubber gloves. Is this to keep oils from your hands off the gold or it it just to keep your hands clean, or to protect you from something? Just curious is all, and keep up the great work!

    • @MillerProspecting
      @MillerProspecting  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi
      I wear gloves to protect my hands and health. I suffer from a few ailments and due to this I have to take immune suppressors which means I am very susceptible to diseases and infections. I also suffer from psoriasis on my hands, so I always have lots of small cuts on my hands. Now take that with soil you never know what is in it, thus the gloves.

    • @terrencegildred442
      @terrencegildred442 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Miller Prospecting oh wow I can certainly understand why you would and should.wear them. I was worried that perhaps it was something I should be doing like general safety. Thanks for the reply and keep up the awesome videos!

    • @MillerProspecting
      @MillerProspecting  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@terrencegildred442 I always suggest them because you really dont know where the paydirt comes from. If it is old mining grounds it could have mercury in it or other really bad chemicals they used to leech the gold out of rocks. That is why I keep a link to the ones I use in my description.

    • @terrencegildred442
