Considering the Emberstone was created by Quintus Prime, who in some continuities is the progenitor of the Quintessons, evil versions of the Terrans might make sense. The Quintus of s1 looked boring: no tentacles, too nice. I want the real Quintus, and if these Chaos Terrans are his minions, let´s go.

The ranger truck is more boxy with a squared off cab, and no back seat, while hashtag's new alt mode is more streamlined and rounded, and does have a back seat. Not to mention the ranger truck's roof mounted headlights, which aren't present on hashtag.
I can't say or confirm anything. But I did work on a few early episodes of these. What I can say is that you are going to enjoy the unexpected relationships that Aftermath forms because of his unique position.

I would prefer that the chaos terrans were more like universal shattered glass variants; with the new SG toy line and the canceled animated episode the evil dimension counterpart needs to finally get at least one non comic story that actually gets made and released.

I think you're wrong about a lot of this stuff. 1. G.H.O.S.T. isn't gone. Karen Croft is gone but G.H.O.S.T. can still be taken over by Jon Schloder or potentially another human we haven't met yet as it's new head. There is still potential to do more with G.H.O.S.T. as season 1 never really answered exactly what their goal is. Two unsolved mysteries, why does the insignia look like a Quintesson face? And what was that ooze from "Bear Necessities"? Personally I think they're setting up for a Ninja Turtles Crossover because both Transformers Earthspark and Ninja Turtles are owned by Paramount. We've already gotten conformation of a Transformers Party Wagon figure. That ooze I mentioned works very similar to the ooze from Ninja Turtles and nothing like that has ever existed in Transformers before. And finally design wise the Quintessons are really similar to the Krang or Utrom species from Ninja Turtles. I have a suspicion that there's going to be a crossover episode at some point revealing the Quintessons in Krang/Utrom style human disguises being agents of G.H.O.S.T. who have secretly been behind the entire organization from the beginning. 2. Hashtag's shoulders and head are also clearly different. I'm not really seeing the difference in her legs but we at least agree the chest is different. Her shoulders seem to be rounder and smaller, they're not as tall as her original shoulders. Her head design has more details in her helmet that weren't on the original design and the little pony tail thing in the back of her head which I've always hated that part of her design I wish they'd just get rid of that. I think she'd look better without it. But there were little toothy bits sticking off the end, I'm not sure what to call it while the new one is flat on the end. I don't think she's just going to suddenly appear with a new alt mode at the start of season 1. I think there's going to be an episode where her being a G.H.O.S.T. van becomes a problem, maybe like I said Schloder has taken over and is made aware of her ability to hack into G.H.O.S.T. security with her alt mode so he orders her to scan a new vehicle mode or be placed under arrest. 3. I don't think there is going to be an evil version of the Ember Stone because there's no evidence for such a thing ever existing. Spitfire being a repaint of Twitch doesn't mean that she has to literally be an evil copy of Twitch. She could just scan one of Wheeljack's drones the same way Twitch did. Transformers have had other characters with similar body types for EVER. There's also the possibility that she could scan Twitch to look like her but that doesn't mean that every Chaos Terran has to work that way. Also I noticed that there was a repaint of Twitch listed there who looks like Whirl from Rescue Bots Academy. I knew those were really similar characters it does not surprised me that if that's concept art from before the series aired that they may have originally intended her to just be Whirl rather than an entirely new character.
I wonder if Hashtag is gonna lose her ability to hack and stuff since G.H.O.S.T. van gave her that ability. I don't know how to feel about Spitfire being recolored Twitch. Personally, Hashtag doesn't need a new alt mode. Sure, GHOST is dead but she can still be utilized as a reporter van or something similar because of her powers and personality (The Autobots did say that their alt modes represent their image of themselves). If they decided that the ghost van has a removable cover, then I can understand that having a similar look for the pick-up truck model.
What did you use to edit the thumbnail? My recoloring app only works on 2D images and has some kind of issues with the Earthspark character models' coloring or shading...
