I can't believe that Spitfire is voiced by Zelda Williams! She voiced Mona Lisa back in TMNT 2012! The number of TMNT references this show has in it is just crazy!
I love love love Spitfire with a burning passion, she definitely gives big snarky pre-teen vibes. Bee: "And I'm Bumblebee!" Spitfire: "So?" Bee: "Well, usually that goes better." She's just so scrunkly.
My favorite episode of this batch! Zelda Williams was great as Spitfire and I love her voiceover work in other Nickelodeon cartoons where she voiced Kuvira in The Legend of Korra, Y’Gythgba/Mona Lisa in the 2012 TMNT series, and Cassandra ‘Casey’ Jones in Rise of the TMNT. Spitfire calling Optimus, Elita-1, and Megatron old as dirt was wild and I was like, “Mind you! They’re only the equivalent of 50 year old humans.” I actually thought Alex was going to win the gauntlet and I loved it when Megatron said no more wardrobe changes. The ending of the fight between Twitch and Spitfire was great with the sun being shown through the clouds. This episode is a 10/10 for me.
23:42, in my opinion, your explanation of Spitfire wanting to be the superior drone drew me to the conclusion of Metal Sonic more than Shadow from Sonic Heroes.
My opinions on the episode. Fantastic! In-fact, this is in my opinion, the best episode this season thus far. Twitch is perfectly in-character with her competitive attitude, her care for her family, and her adorableness when she got picked for an autobot mission and hugs the big three bots. Although side note, how is this Twitch's FIRST Autobot mission? She's been with them multiple times, including Trojan Terran. I guess this is her first OFFICIAL solo mission? Spitfire is a great villain, or antagonist however you like it. Zelda Williams killed it with her voice. Out of the two chaos terrans, I like Spitfire more. I don't hate Aftermath, but I feel Spitfire has more character than him. One thing I'm not too fond of though is the fact she's a recolor of Twitch. I liked the idea of the chaos terrans resembling the normal terrans, until it was revealed Spitfire is the only one who's like that, and it kinda feels lazy. Her color scheme is pretty neat however, but I especially love her protoform design. I wish we got a better look at it and Aftermath's as their colors go so damn hard. I do have a minor gripe about her creation, but I'm not docking any points for the episode or season. But basically, you're telling that non of the other Emberstone shards have been rained on? Really? Did they just conveniently land under trees, or any other form of shelter? As for the obstacle course, it was pretty funny. Alex especially just acing the course in everyone's faces. I especially love that one shot with Optimus, Elita, Grimlock, Wheeljack, Nightshade, Thrash and even JB just watching in disbelief as he does the pull up part of the course. Unfortunately, as it goes, this is really Megatron's only main part in the series, which kinda sucks. You finally give Elita and Thrash more to do, but then you push even more characters into the background. Also there were a few dramatic shots like Twitch lifting Alex or the clouds revealing the sunset. Also, I don't know if it's just me, but during Twitch and Spitfire's aerial battle which was epic BTW, when they were sword slashing, the music kinda sounded like the FNAF 2 trailer music a little bit? Bottomline, the best episode of Season 2 so far. 9/10
so far i've enjoyed the first batch of season 2 more than the first batch of season 1 this batch has already accomplished a lot more than batch 1 of earthspark. 1. it has a nice overarching story 2. it resolves a few plotholes from season 1 such as the mutated bear being mutated by contaminated eneregon and it explains the ancient ruins and while the dweller is on earth it does some nice lore expanding about Quintess Prime. 3. it has a sort of batch finale while earthspark season 1 batch 1 just sort of ended in an underwhelming way.
I know some people have hammed on this on Twitter, JB's reaction to Spitfire and his distaste for chaos terrans. I just have one thing to say. DID YOU NOT PAY ANY ATTENTION?!! HE WAS LITERALLY BETRAYED BY THE OTHER CHAOS TERRAN IN THE LAST EPISODE! What he thought he formed a beautiful bond with Aftermath, only to be backstabbed by him when AM took all the cavewater, somehow. I know Sonic said that he thinks it was all a misunderstanding when JB told AM to take all he needs, but upon rewatching the episode, he has this final line. Aftermath: Nutrients first. (Laughs) So honestly, I don't really know if Aftermath is really that malicious, I'll leave it up to you. Now, the terrans or mostly JB do play somewhat of devil's advocate when questioning Twitch bringing Spitfire home, and it comes into question about what they're going through. Dot is smart enough to not judge Spitfire based on AM"s actions, and lets her stay for now, with JB questioning and decides keeping an eye on her. (Almost) Again, this doesn't feel out of character for him because of AM's betrayal, and I find it justifiable. Plus, Twitch was nice to her (Though I'm not sure it's because she looks like her and she claimed Twinsies), and we don't really see Hashtag, Nightshade or Thrash's opinions.
I have a bad feeling that kids won’t see what you mean about the terrans not trusting the chaos terrans Kids will see it as “Oh shit, if even the Terrans don’t trust them then they must be horrible people!” What am I saying, kids will just grow up with cyberverse cause all of it it’s on TH-cam and they won’t even know what earthspark is till they are 6 or 7

Same. If I have to pick what my favorite episodes are, it would have to be the episodes: 9-10, 7, 6, 5, and 4, in that order.
