If you want a tip.older cadi have the compressors for these shocks..junkyard finds.when i had daytons on my cadi I would air up all the way cause they have the compressor under the hood with a air valve.fun days
Thx for the content :-) might I suggest a project? A quiet cabinet build for your compressor ;-) a little flooring, a 2b4, some closed cell foam sheets.. cud be a table on top.. stickerboom it all to taste.. good luck
Just came across your page even tho I follow you on facebook lol. I was looking to do this exact thing to my s10 but wanna run an on board compressor and controller from Air Lift. Great video and the fact you're running what appears to be 3in drop blocks like me I know I'll get exactly what I'm looking for 🤘🤘 I love being lowered but any weight and she squats like crazy
Looks like you were out driving it with the bed off can see the mud on the back of the cab I bet there was some sick rooster tails coming off the tires
I'm learning. After I sat back and looked at everything I figured that out. The lines don't need to be the same length, I gotta keep reminding myself! Lol
Can you do a video about installing a bolt in C-notch? Thinking about doing one to my 93 with this exact rear setup. My wallet won't allow me to pull the trigger on full air ride just yet.
@hardcore garage What's the minimum and maximum height between the bumper and the ground when they're aired up or aired down? I want to do this while I have my S-10 apart!
I picked up a '91 with 40k miles on it and I'm going through the whole truck, but I want a way to lower the back end to the ground then go to normal ride height when I haul rocks or whatever
What happens when you're driving on the freeway with a huge load and for whatever reason the hose gets ripped off and you lose all that support while passing a truck? When fire wood cutting I over loaded my truck and couldnt even drive more than 30 mph without losing steering had to unload then continue.
Don't overload the truck! Lol we know the risks when we do dumb stuff. The truck never hauled anything after the air shocks were on it... and its sold and doesn't have the rack on it anymore
Wow, that's a little too much work just to remove the rear shocks from a Gen 1 S10/Sonoma, because removing and installing the shocks for a Gen 2 S10/Sonoma is much easier and doesn't require using a wrench to hold the Nut to remove/install the Mounting Bolt. That said, the best solution is to Weld the Nut onto the Shock Mounting Plate, and when it's to replace the rear shocks, all that is needed is a socket to remove/install the Mounting Bolts. Also, those Air Shocks won't do much, unless you're going to use your truck to haul a heavy load or using the whole bed as a subwoofer enclosure (like I did with my 1988 Mitsubishi Minitruck back in the late 1980's) or to tow a trailer.
@@HardCoreGarage not according to you and in your own words in the video. but like I said, weld the nuts, especially since the bed is off the frame and welding the nuts now is a lot easier than having the bed on the frame.

Glad I could help
So it gets 2 orings?

Thanks for posting this..I'm about to put airshocks on my Blazer! Reminds me of the good old days before bags and 24's 😂
I have these on my mazda they work great
Oye es muy dificil de volver acer una s 10 de carburador a tvi esq ami mencantan la s 10

Thanks for the idea!
Is there a specific length you need to get when the vehicle is lowered already?
Man I don't remember specifically. This truck was 5/7. Did I show the part numbers?
@@HardCoreGarageI don’t see it. How does it ride with those shocks? I only need them to get the bump stop off the axel. Is it a rough or smooth ride?
@@loveja1 same reason I used them! Lol yeah it gave me about 2" of travel. Was better than banging the bump stops.
@@loveja1 there's other video where I upgrade the lines and add the compressor.
Nice. I have that identical craftsman compressor
Been a good compressor!
Gr8 vid Brother!
Thanks man, appreciate it!
Coming along great
How to wrap the truck

This one had the compressor. 4" blocks in rear with 3" leafs
What’s the max psi you can fill on this Monroe air shocks ?
I dont remember man
150
Where did the leaf springs go? Where can I find parts and instructions for full air ride. I won't be happy till it's sparking
I'm an air ride beginner too
Looks like you were out driving it with the bed off can see the mud on the back of the cab I bet there was some sick rooster tails coming off the tires
That's from trying to get it back in my garage
Update?
Worked fine. I eventually sold the truck.
Let’s see a blazer rear bumper swap and use the tag bolt hole to mounts the Schrader valve in!
Ive been looking for one. Ive got a new painted bumper for the front and new bumper trim for the front and a blazer bumper when I find one.
I have a painted rear blazer bumper in MN if your interested. Came off a 94 with low miles so in decent shape for MN
Wonder what that would cost shipped to ohio! Lol
If I ever go to work out there I can just bring it with lol. Had the opportunity about a month ago to go to Toledo
I'm in Southern ohio about 45 minutes from Kentucky
I may have missed it but you have to have the bed off to do these?
Much easier with the bed off!
Could you have put the t at the passenger frame rail and saved some line to be able to route it the way you wanted?
I'm learning. After I sat back and looked at everything I figured that out. The lines don't need to be the same length, I gotta keep reminding myself! Lol
Hi! If I am going to lower my truck 3" front and rear, what shock do you recommend? KyB or Monroe?
Doesn't it affect lowering it?
I prefer bell tech, but kyb would be my next choice

It moved it about 2"s. I sold the truck in 2020.
Are you doing the same to the front?
Its something I'm definitely looking into. Would need to add external mounts on the frame and lower control arm.

Pretty sure it originally had u nuts on the shocks.

He 100% said he was pretty sure it had u bolts before but those were not the original shocks
I was pretty sure I mentioned it.
All the hardware has been flipped. The bolt heads are originally on the bottom side.
Lmaoo wake up call
You should of put them through your license plate
