Thank you so so much. My wife and I recently stayed buying black fungus at the farmers market and have only had it fries in butter until now. Being completely American the thought of fried cucumbers sounds weird but this dish was soooooooo tasty looking we had to try it. Wow! It's in our recipe book now. Delicious and full of veggies, we can't get enough! Thanks again.

Black Fungus is my favorite thai ingredient. It's closer in texture to lightly sautéed cabbage, and it just loves stir fry. It's awesome.

I love black fungus and I use it in the soups with other mushrooms and veggies. This recipe looks really good. I don't eat meat, wonder I can use tofu instead? Any suggestions?

Why cook the cucumber separately and add water then in the end mix the cooked cucumber minus the water, why not just saute meat then add the black fungus and cucumber then season it with salt. . .

Very nice straightforward recipe and deftly cooked. I'm guessing this dish is from Guangdong but not sure. Its funny to see the dodgy hygiene in the kitchen and the questionable tap water but everything gets cooked at high heat so its all safe. Chinese people wisely almost never eat any food raw.
